Chapter 1871 – Hidden God Overthrow
An Qingyu walked over to that chessboard and gazed down at the misplaced pieces, not knowing what she was thinking.
”What? Recovered from your soul’s injury?”
Lin Qiye’s voice came out from the house as he pushed open the door and said as he looked at An Qingyu in front of the chessboard.
Of course Lin Qiye hadn’t rested, at his current realm, if his soul wasn’t injured like An Qingyu’s, he didn’t need sleep to recover, and he was only meditating on his knees in the house because he had invested all of his energy into the blazing angel doppelganger.
When he heard An Qingyu get up, he immediately split a portion of his consciousness back.
He wanted to communicate with An Qingyu as much as possible, and only in this way could he probe for more information.
An Qingyu didn’t raise her head to look at him, she just gazed at the chessboard and slowly spoke, “You want to imitate my chess path …… Unfortunately, you can only imitate seventy percent of the likeness.”
”Is that so?”
Lin Qiye walked over to the chessboard and sat down, waving his hand to return all the pieces to the basket, “You’re right, I’m not you after all, no matter how much I imitate, it’s just a futile model …… Instead of playing against the imaginary you, it’s simpler to play against a real person.”
An Qingyu spoke calmly, “We have already fought many times, haven’t we?”
”The few times that the game in the Shangjing compound, your thinking is blocked, of course, can not be counted as a real hand-to-hand …… game in the hospital, you and I are clear about what the purpose is, and can not be counted, so counting, in fact, we do not have a real game.”
An Qingyu glanced at him and after hesitating for a moment, she still sat down opposite Lin Qiye.
”I’m very busy, this game of chess, maybe it’s the last game.”
”The last game? ……”
Lin Qiye moved the chess basket with the white discs, in front of himself, “It’s the same for me.”
”You took white discs this time?”
”Before, I took the black discs because I was originally the first player …… Now, who is the first player is meaningless.” Lin Qiye pinched a white disc and gently landed somewhere on the board.
An Qingyu looked at the black disc basket in front of him and nodded slightly, “Also.”
He pinched a black disc and landed it close to Lin Qiye’s white disc.
”Do you know what I was thinking yesterday when I was playing chess here alone?” Lin Qiye spoke while playing chess.
”What?”
”I was thinking that both of our main bodies are actually in this compound, and we can see each other every day, so close that it’s almost like we’re attending a school summer camp …… yet we can influence the situation of the entire world through our respective bilocation games.
The world is big, so big that the Supreme God can only be considered a pawn in it; the world is small, so small that on top of this square inch chessboard, the ultimate victory or defeat can be decided.”
An Qingyu’s eyes narrowed slightly as he raised his head to look at Lin Qiye and spoke nonchalantly:
”It’s certainly fine for you to compare the world to a chessboard……. However, if you take the game within this chessboard as the benchmark for determining victory or defeat, you may never win.”
Lin Qiye’s hand that was setting the pieces was lulled.
He frowned as he looked into An Qingyu’s eyes and asked in a deep voice:
”Are you saying …… that the thing that determines victory or defeat is not within this chessboard?”
”The world is small, and the chessboard is also small …… There are things that are bigger than them, and much bigger.” An Qingyu landed, ate the white disc that was surrounded in it, and casually threw it to the outside of the chessboard, “Chess, it is a game between the pieces, but a game …… is just a game.”
Lin Qiye pondered over An Qingyu’s words and was about to continue to drop her pieces, but An Qingyu got up straight away and walked towards the outside of the compound.
”Chess isn’t finished yet, where are you going?” Lin Qiye asked.
”The chess outside isn’t finished, the falling pieces on the chessboard, naturally, won’t have an ending either ……”
An Qingyu returned to the edge of that misty enclosure, her fingertips lightly stroked, the mist suddenly dispersed to both sides, leaving a path to leave, “I’ll continue to drop the pieces, but not here.”
As the dark shadow disappeared into the mist, the entire compound once again returned to silence.
Lin Qiye sat alone at the chessboard, looking at the black and white stalemate in front of him, and fell into deep thought.
Misty.
A giant black shadow stepped on the waves and swept across the sea like lightning.
Lina stood on Fenrir’s back, her eyes gazing ahead, the gusty wind blew the corners of her clothes flipping, as if she had remembered something, she took out a mask from her bosom and put it on, covering her face.
As the Demon Wolf Fenrir sped rapidly, the outline of an island emerged from the mist.
This sea island wasn’t large, and with a little bit of flying up into the sky, one could see the complete outline of the coastline, and in the center of this dead and bare sea island, an ancient crater stood tall.
Riding Fenrir, Lina leapt from the edge of the coast, her form soaring above the crater and slicing straight downward.
Darkness rose around Lina, and after a few moments, a flash of white light emerged from the bottom, into which she and Fenrir crashed headlong, and by the time the light had faded, they had arrived in the center of a large desert.
Lina briefly discerned the direction and proceeded in a certain direction.
This was a small space separate from the outside world, the same as Asgard and the High Heavenly Plains, the god kingdoms, only much smaller.
This desert space used to be the divine kingdom of a certain lost myth in the mists, and then Si Xiaonan found this place and brought the [Hidden Gods] to bring the indigenous gods here under his command in a half-violent, half-persuasive manner, and at the same time, this place also became the location of the [Hidden Gods]’s base camp.
Although this place was not very large and the environment was relatively harsh, it was better because it was hidden, and it was generally hard to find this place, which was also in line with the [Hidden God]’s low-profile characteristics.
Well-!
Halfway there, the Fenrir at Lina’s feet suddenly stopped.
This demonic wolf from the Underworld continuously sniffed the scent in mid-air, and a low hissing sound came out from its throat, with an expression as if it was facing an enemy.
Lina’s face changed, her figure quickly flashed down the wolf’s back, and after patting its legs to signal it to become smaller, she vigilantly advanced towards the center along the surrounding obstacles ……
To here, even Lina can smell the smell of blood in the air, she frowned more and more tightly, as the distant cluster of broken palaces gradually appeared, broken corpses scattered everywhere, as if by some kind of huge beasts hard gnawed to death!
The bodies of these corpses were also covered with some kind of deep yellow mucus, emitting a strong stench, and the entire God’s Kingdom was as if it had been soaked in hair, bloated and bizarre.
Fenrir’s fur exploded all over his body as he stared dead on at the slime covering the corpses and the palace, his eyes scarlet as blood.
It was the smell of the Cthulhu gods.
Lina stared blankly at the familiar corpses all over the ground, and an icy chill surged through her heart in the midst of the scorching desert!
[Hidden God], dead.
