Chapter 0343 – Looking Backward
Chen Ge had just put his cell phone away when Gao Ruxue’s call came over, presumably because Heshan had informed her.
”So urgent?”
Chen Ge picked up the phone and before he could say anything, Gao Ruxue’s voice purposely lowered on the other side of the microphone, “I’m not wearing a headset, my roommate is right outside in the hallway, so don’t speak up.”
Gao Ruxue’s current situation didn’t seem too good, a hint of nervousness and uneasiness could be heard from her tone.
”I just heard Heshan say that your roommate was possessed by a ghost?”
”It should be scarier than being possessed, I feel like she’s a completely different person.”
”Was there a change in behavior?”
”She acted the same as usual, but I could feel it, it wasn’t her!” Gao Ruxue was very certain, “Listen to me, this matter is also related to a legend in our school.”
”In the basement of the old school building there is a plaster statue with eyes that bleed, the legend says that if you find it at twelve o’clock at night, you can ask it a question.”
”There are two of my roommates, one is called Ma Ying and the other is called Liu Xianxian, and they went out together that night.”

Chen Ge was a blank slate when it came to emotions, and he didn’t know what to say, “Then why did the other girl also want to find the statue?”
”Ma Ying has an older sister who was also admitted to Jiujiang Medical University five years ago, but when she was in her sophomore year, her sister disappeared on her way back to school, and she hasn’t been found until now.”
”She wanted to figure out where her sister had gone, it had become an obsession for their family, and after hearing this legend, the idea to try was born.”
Halfway through Gao Ruxue’s speech, another woman’s voice suddenly came from the corridor, seemingly urging her on.
Hurriedly answering, Gao Ruxue sped up her speech, “These two people insisted on trying it out, and both of them were very timid, so they ended up dragging me along.”
”We went over a week ago, and entered the basement of the old school building after eleven o’clock at night, where a lot of scrap was piled up, and it was hard to find the sculpture.”
”The first day, we searched most of the area and found nothing.”
”By the second night, I thought the two of them would die, but who knows they dragged me over there again.”
”After being in the same dormitory for so long, I didn’t have the heart to refuse them, so I went into the basement with them for the second time.”
”This time is not quite the same as the last time, just went in not far out, I heard someone laughing.”

”The thing that really gave me a twinge of fear happened early in the morning of the fourth day, when I opened my eyes, both of my roommates were awake, both of them were lying on their beds, looking at me with smiles on their faces.”
”During the night of the fourth day, the two roommates didn’t go out again, but I kept feeling uneasy and lay in bed early, pretending to be asleep.”
”At around two in the morning, the two roommates got up at the same time, and as if they had discussed it, they left the dormitory gently.”
”I didn’t dare chase them out, and waited until 3:30 a.m. before they returned. It was as if nothing had happened, lying in their own beds.”
”The same thing happened on the fifth night and the sixth night, until last night.”
”They sneaked out again at about 2:00 a.m., and about 3:30 a.m., the roommates came back, but what scared me was that it wasn’t two of them that came back, but three!”
”There were no lights on in the dorm room, so I couldn’t see clearly, and it felt like all three of them were dressed similarly.”
”The three went to the beds and lay down on the three beds, and the thing that made me feel the strangest happened!”
”There were only three beds in the dormitory, and one of them seemed to have climbed into my bed.”

”Are you still okay?”
Another woman’s voice came over the phone and the bathroom door seemed to be pushed open.
”It’s fine, chatting with a friend.” Gao Ruxue’s voice changed instantly, she was very calm.
”You usually talk less with us, this isn’t like your character? It’s a boyfriend, right?” Another girl laughed, “Don’t just focus on chatting, today’s anatomy class is quite important.”
”Okay.” Gao Ruxue added into the phone, “You can come over for a meal tonight if you have time, this is the first time I’ve invited someone, so think carefully before you refuse.”
”You hurry up and go to class, I’ll come over in the evening.” Chen Ge’s voice was magnetic, with a hint of maturity and confidence.
Hanging up the phone, Chen Ge’s expression immediately changed: “Gao Ruxue asked me to go over for an interview in the evening, it seems that last night’s incident did scare her quite a bit. But then again, why is it that only my cell phone’s call and message functions can be used normally?”
He held both cell phones in his hands and really couldn’t figure this out.
”Sculptures, Extra People, Phone Messages …… “Chen Ge actually wanted to ask Gao Ruxue if that so-called basement and the underground corpse vault were connected.
”Number ten is carrying a corpse on his back, could that corpse be related to the underground corpse vault of the Jiujiang Medical College?”
Chen Ge went through all the clues in his brain, and the seemingly disorganized clues were vaguely linked together.
