Chapter 0713 – The Same Table

　　”I only know a little, why are you asking?” The man grabbed the guide stick and tried to keep his distance from Chen Ge, but he was too weak to break free.

　　”My friend disappeared while watching a movie in a screening room, I want to do the same thing as him and see if I can find something.” Chen Ge spoke casually, standing quietly in the middle of the darkness as he scanned the entire screening hall.

　　The rows and rows of seats were of varying heights, like silhouettes of people who were either crouching or standing.

　　”Are you crazy? Running to this place at past two in the morning and asking me to show you a movie?” Even if there weren’t those horrible rumors, the man didn’t think that there would be any sane person who would be like Chen Ge and run to a soon to be abandoned movie theater to watch a movie in the middle of the night.

　　”I’m sober and know what I’m doing.” Chen Ge shone the bright light of his cell phone onto the various equipment next to him, “If you’re not comfortable with it, you can tell me how to operate it and I’ll get it myself.”

　　Chen Ge was a very studious person, learning everywhere he went, and because of this, he had mastered so many “skills”.

　　”You have to think clearly, that thing I told you before wasn’t a story, it was the real thing.” Eyelids fluttering lightly, the man knew exactly where he was now as he set his cane aside and reached out to fumble around on the table.

　　The man moved slowly, and no one knew exactly what he was thinking.

　　Chen Ge just stood by the side and kept staring at him, and the more he looked, the more he felt that this man was not quite normal.

　　His hands were too flexible, his eyes were obviously closed, but he knew all the equipment locations.

　　There were two possibilities for this to happen, one was that he hadn’t gone blind before, or after he went blind, he still kept repeating manipulating this equipment, and practice made perfect, so that he could do it with his eyes closed, and still be able to operate it smoothly.

　　The second possibility is that he is not blind at all.

　　”The main electric switch is on the second floor, can you open it for me?” The man connected all the wiring, and he touched the switchboard power, but after trying several times, he couldn’t successfully start it.

　　”Second floor?” Chen Ge lifted the skull crushing hammer and walked out of the screening room, following the stairs to the second floor, but he didn’t go in, instead, he stood at the entrance of the stairs and looked at the exit of the screening room.

　　After only five seconds, a man’s face poked out of the screening room.

　　He strained his ears for a moment, and after realizing that there was nothing out of the ordinary, he immediately ran towards the darkness in the distance.

　　Two footsteps sounded in the stillness of the night, and before the man could get far, his shoulder was pressed.

　　”How could you leave me alone there?”

　　Chen Ge’s voice reached the man’s ears, and he froze in shock as if he had been struck by lightning.

　　”I didn’t find the location of the main electric switch, let’s go together.” Chen Ge helped the man back to the second floor and opened the main electric switch.

　　With a “bang”, all the lights in the screening room flickered.

　　”I just want to watch a movie here and find my missing friend, that’s all, if you get in the way again and again, then I can only assume that my friend’s disappearance has something to do with you.”

　　Turning on the power to the distribution box, the projector automatically started up, the man turned on the hard disk switch again, and when it was loaded, he looked up, “Choose whatever movie you want to watch yourself, but I’ll give you one last piece of advice, don’t ever watch a horror movie, something could really go wrong.”

　　Watching a movie in a private screening hall was only the first part of the Left Eye Trial mission, it was already 2:00 a.m. Now, if it didn’t end early, Chen Ge would most likely not be able to complete the later missions tonight.

　　Thinking of this, Chen Ge scanned the playlist, and he decided to pick a movie with the shortest duration.

　　”The black phone only requires me to be here for one movie, but it doesn’t require which type of film I have to watch.” Chen Ge wouldn’t make things more difficult for himself, he wanted to find a cozy literary or animated movie, but when he clicked on the playlist, he realized that all of those movies couldn’t be played, suggesting that the movie’s resources were crippled and he needed to download it again.

　　After selecting half a day, Chen Ge realized that only horror movies could be played normally.

　　Associated with what the man had just said, Chen Ge was slightly puzzled: “Is someone messing around? Or is something destroying the resources of the other movies?”

　　Scrolling through the playlist, he found an even stranger place.

　　Chen Ge ran a haunted house, and in order to find inspiration, he often watched horror movies, but he hadn’t heard of all the horror movies in this player.

　　”These horror movies aren’t quite the same as the ones on the market, the name of the director and producer on the cover are all the same person.” Chen Ge clicked on the cover and memorized the director’s name: “Chang Ku? Is this a stage name or a real name?”

　　”Have you chosen yet?” The man’s hands had been trembling, and there were no major changes around him, but he was getting more and more uneasy, as if he would be haunted by something if he stayed in this place for a long time.

　　”Alright, let’s put on this one with the shortest duration.” The vast majority of horror movies were around an hour and a half long, but Chen Ge saw a movie in the playlist that was only twenty-five minutes long.

　　The name of this movie was called – The Same Table.

　　There were still five minutes before the mission cutoff when the movie officially began to play, and all the lights in the private movie hall went out, and a slightly blurry picture appeared on the screen.

　　”I’m a blind man so I won’t accompany you to watch it, here’s my phone number, call me when you’re done watching, I’ll pack these up.” The man read out a number to Chen Ge, who entered his cell phone and dialed directly.

　　A buzzing vibration came out of the man’s pocket, and he didn’t deceive Chen Ge.

　　Having seen countless tourists panic, Chen Ge was able to tell that the man was extremely scared at this time.

　　After being clear about this, he was even more reluctant to let the man leave, the other party must know some inside information, he just refused to tell himself.

　　”Don’t be in a hurry to leave, the two of us together, we can take care of each other.” Chen Ge assisted the man to sit on the viewing seat, considering the safety issue, Chen Ge chose a seat near the exit.

　　”I’ll just forget about it ……”

　　”Keep your voice down, the movie is starting.”

　　Watching a horror movie in a movie theater and watching it at home were two completely different experiences, the feeling of being wrapped in darkness and being in the realm of reality was something you didn’t have at home.

　　The sound of a heartbeat came from his ears, followed by the sound of ragged breathing, a huge eye on the screen slowly opened, and a woman’s figure could be vaguely seen through the black pupils.

　　The camera slowly looks upwards to the desk, the alarm clock shows that it is now 4:30 p.m. The window is cloudy and depressing, a rainstorm is coming.

　　The entire movie seemed to be shot from a first person perspective, the camera capturing the image that the main character was seeing.

　　”Akimi!”

　　Someone downstairs was shouting a name over and over again, and the camera moved as the main character got up from her bed and went to the window.

　　She opens the window as if sticking her head out of it, and the camera captures the image downstairs.

　　A girl in a red jacket was waving at her.
