Klein sat down at the bar and pounded his fist on the tabletop:

  ”A Southwell ale.”

Behind him, a couple of guards hesitated to come over and warn him, or to pretend that no one had just moved their guns.

The bartender winked at the guards, picked up a glass, and grinned:

”Why don’t you have a glass of ‘Sweet Lemon?

”Our boss once went to Trier to learn bartending, mastered many of the cocktail categories left behind by Rossel the Great, and created Oravi’s favorite ‘Sweet Lemon’ on his own.”

Without a hint of heartburn, Klein responded calmly:

  ”I only drink beer.”

”Okay.” The bartender didn’t rush to pick up the Southwell beer, and with a smile in his eyes, he said, “You’re an adventurer, sir?”

Klein nodded his head without opening his mouth to answer.

Without hesitation, the bartender smiled and said:

”Perhaps you should meet our boss, he’s always friendly to new adventurers, happy to buy them a drink, and, well, it’ll help you in other ways.”

Kraven, who had been planning to buy the “Secret Puppet Master” auxiliary materials here, did not refuse, and took out a brass-colored penny, snapped it up, and caught it steadily.

He placed the penny on the bar as a thank you to the bartender for the reminder, and slowly rose to his feet, following a guard up the steps to the second floor and into the room at the other end of the corridor.

The room was carpeted in a thick, soft tan color, and filled with the slight smell of burning good quality coal, interspersed with the aroma of smoked cigars.

A middle-aged man with neatly combed back blonde hair leaned back in an easy chair, smoking a cigar and reading a newspaper, surrounded by more than six bodyguards.

Although Klein was not an extraordinary person in the field of “audience”, he could not judge the characteristics and strength of those bodyguards from the details, nor did he belong to the path of “peeping tom” or “monster”, he could see certain hidden secrets, and discovered some things that others could not. But his spiritual intuition made him believe that there must be an extraordinary person among those bodyguards, an extraordinary person who could pose a certain threat to him.

The middle-aged man put down his newspaper, pulled the collar of his black shirt, slowly stood up and extended his right hand, saying:

”Welcome to Olavi, my adventurer friend.”

His azure eyes carried a few smiles, looking quite sincere.

Klein similarly reached out his right hand and lightly touched it with the other party without speaking, waiting for the other party to speak.

The middle-aged man pointed to the sofa opposite the comfort chair and smiled lightly:

”I am the owner of this place, Bilt Brando.

”I used to be an adventurer as well, and my strength is not bad, so I was at least able to survive until now and make a lot of money.”

Confident in his own strength, that’s why he dared to express it so directly …… Klein nonchalantly sat down, leaning his body slightly forward, with little expression as he waited for Bilt to continue his story.

Seeing that the opposite adventurer did not respond, Bilt resumed his seat, took a puff on his cigar, and said leisurely:

”Frankly speaking, I do have my own purpose in meeting with every new adventurer.”

He pointed to the charts that lay on the desk in the room, and his voice was magnetic as he described them:

”From the Rothschild Archipelago eastward, the sea is becoming more and more chaotic, and the military and the Church are becoming less and less powerful, even to the point of only being able to protect the harbors in which they are located.

”These seas are a haven for pirates, and are very bad for us adventurers, so I hope to organize everyone and create a loose alliance to unite in the face of danger.

”This alliance won’t be too binding, you can choose to stand by while other adventurers are in danger, no one will come to punish you, you just don’t need to expect help if you’re in a similar situation afterward.

”In addition, one thing I can promise is that adventurers from this alliance will be able to get a discount close to the base price when purchasing items from me, and at least equal to the market price when selling their harvest.”

After the introduction, Bilt looked at the newly arrived adventurer across the room with a smile on his face and laughed:

”How about it? Is there any interest in joining this loose alliance, don’t worry, it won’t give you any extra expenses, our purpose is only to help each other when we meet pirates.”

  Klein nodded and said:

  ”Sounds good.”

”Haha, I think so too, I once wanted to name this alliance ‘The Brotherhood of Adventure’, then I thought the word ‘brother’ was too obligatory, so I changed it to ‘The Adventurer’s Mutual Aid Society’.” Bilt smiled to himself.

At that, he lowered his hand with the cigar, barred his lips, and shook his head with a smile:

”Sorry, forgot to ask your name.”

Klein kept his posture unchanged and answered in a low voice:

  ”Germaine Sparrow.”

”Germaine Sparrow ……” Bilt’s eyelids jumped, his smile instantly becoming a little stiff, while the few bodyguards around him tensed up in a hugh manner, as if they were on the verge of an attack.

Bilt quickly recovered, did not bother to explore whether it was the real Germaine Sparrow, or a fake liar, laughed:

”Anything you want to buy? I have quite a few good things here.”

”The spring water from Sunia’s golden spring.” Klein said flatly on the outside and cautiously on the inside.

He didn’t mention the bark of the Dragon Tree, and anyway, there was a not insignificant chance of buying this material in the herb store.

Bilt Brando was inexplicably relieved and smiled:

  ”Simple.

  ”Thirty pounds for 100 milliliters.

”Believe me, even if you go to the island of Sunia, it’s still at best a few pounds cheaper than that price, and with those Forsak barbarians blocking off one spring after another, it’s hard for anyone else to get it.”

”Deal.” Klein had a rough idea of the price of the golden springs, and knew that 30 pounds for 100 ml was indeed quite cheap.

Having completed the deal, Bildt deliberated and was about to open his mouth when he suddenly heard a knock on the door.

After receiving his permission, a guard entered, came up to his ear and whispered a few words.

Bilt’s expression turned heavy for a moment, and his entire person appeared unusually grim, radiating an unspeakable murderous aura.

Sure enough, the strength is quite good, and it used to be either a famous adventurer or a famous pirate …… There should be a middle sequence …… Klein looked at the other party and calmly made a judgment.

Bilt turned his head and reluctantly said to Klein:

”Mr. Sparrow, I have some things to take care of.

”We’ll have a chance to drink together later.”

”Good.” Klein slowly got up, with no thoughts of meddling in the other party’s business.

Of course, that didn’t mean he wasn’t curious, just not curious enough to make him change his style.

Leaving the “Sweet Lemon” bar, Klein smoothly returned to the rented hotel.

  ……

  Silver City, lightning-frequent “day”.

Derek Burger, after practicing the extraordinary abilities of the Sun Goddess, walked along the edge of the training ground in the direction of the Twin Towers.

After many tarot gatherings, he had gradually figured out the pattern, and knew how many times the lightning frequency alternated between high and low, he would be pulled into the gray fog by Mr. “Fool”.

And now, it was the last “day”.

Because of that, he had to go to the library to look up the history of the Ancient Gods, so that he could dedicate himself to Mr. Fool when the time came.

As he passed through the partition of the training ground, Derek subconsciously glanced at the inner side, where a member of the Quest Squad was resting, the Quest Squad led by the Chief Elder of the Council of Six, Colin Iliad!

They had returned to Silver City a short while ago from an exploration based on the description of the young boy Jack, and were in the isolation phase.

Derek withdrew his eyes with a slightly heavy sigh and made his way to the spire, up to the third floor and into the library.

He was about to walk towards the shelves that held mythological information and ancient texts when out of the corner of his eye he suddenly saw a familiar figure.

It was a fair and voluptuous lady in her thirties, dressed in black robes with many mysterious purple stripes, her silver-gray hair slightly curled down.

She was Sr. Lovia Tiffany, the head of the Council of Six who had been imprisoned for a long time!

As the other party’s pale gray eyes swept over, Derek instantly had the feeling of his soul being pierced through, and it was hard to contain his stiffness for a second.

”Good day, Elder Lovia.” He busily lowered his head and pressed his hand against his chest.

Lovia walked over and nodded gently:

  ”I have lifted the quarantine.”

After she calmly finished speaking, she turned around and left, as if declaring something.

Derek stood still, a cold sweat unconsciously breaking out behind his back.

How had she been released? Had the Council of Six determined that she was fine? Derek thought with unusual tightness.

  ……

Monday afternoon, above the gray mist.

With his elbows on the armrests and his palms crossed, Klein watched as a crimson glow simultaneously illuminated and degenerated into a blur.

Then he heard Ms. Justice’s cheerful greeting:

  ”Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~”
