Lin Dongxue turned him around and furiously said, “Right in front of me?!”

She punched Jiang Yuqi in the face, knocking him to the ground. The punch scraped a small piece of skin off his handsome face, causing blood to flow. Lin Dongxue’s fist hurt, her anger intensified, and her breathing became erratic.

Jiang Yuqi touched the blood on his face and glared, “I’ll sue you all and make sure you lose your jobs!”

Lin Dongxue shouted, “Go ahead! Stop playing the sympathy card. Everyone has had a rough childhood. Killing someone means paying the price, no matter who you are!”

“Dongxue!” Lin Qiupu quickly intervened to prevent Lin Dongxue from doing anything more drastic.

Jiang Yuqi got up, ready to fight back, but other police officers restrained him. In the end, both he and Gan Ping were taken away.

Back in the car, Lin Dongxue’s anger began to subside. Lin Qiupu took out a wet wipe to clean her injured fist. Lin Dongxue smiled bitterly, “I might get sued for this. That guy is no ordinary person… I got so angry when he tried to push you off the building.”

“It’s okay,” Lin Qiupu said, patting her shoulder with a smile, “I’ll handle it.”

After Gan Ping’s arrest, she confessed to all her crimes. However, Lin Qiupu did not participate in her interrogation. From the first time he saw her, he hoped she wasn’t involved, but the more they investigated, the more suspicious she became. He didn’t know how to face her.

“No, I came for something else. I want to understand every detail of the case. What exactly was this ‘perfect murder plan’? There’s no need to hide anything at this point, right?”

Even though this might not help the case, Lin Qiupu wanted to understand.

Jia Xingyun asked, “Is there such a thing as a perfect murder plan?”

“No, there isn’t. Killing someone always leaves clues. There’s no unsolvable case, only inattentive police.”

“I’ve known Jiang Yuqi for many years and know about his childhood. He always wanted to get back at his stepfather and worked hard to climb up the ranks. Glancing at the untouched Biluochun tea on the table, Lin Qiupu stood up and left.

The next person he needed to see was Jiang Yuqi. Standing outside Jiang Yuqi’s house, Lin Qiupu adjusted his collar, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

The butler opened the door and, after a quick glance, said he would check. After a short while, he returned and said, “Mr. Jiang is not here.”

“I can wait,” Lin Qiupu said, glancing at the surveillance camera on the door.

“He really isn’t here!”

“It’s fine, I can wait as long as needed.”

“Suit yourself!”

Lin Qiupu stood motionless at the door for three hours. Suddenly, the intercom buzzed, and Jiang Yuqi’s voice came through, “Stop this nonsense. I’m definitely suing. Get ready to lose!”

“Can we talk?”

“There’s nothing to talk about. Leave, I’m going out soon.”

“Okay, I’ll wait until you leave.”

After a moment of silence, Jiang Yuqi said, “You’re annoying. Come in!”

The door opened. Lin Qiupu entered the living room, where Jiang Yuqi sat on the sofa in a silk robe, holding a glass of red wine. He looked disdainful, “I’m giving you five minutes.”

“Please don’t sue Lin Dongxue. If she hadn’t stopped you, you would have pushed me off the building, and you wouldn’t be here now.”

“Don’t talk about ‘if.’ There is no ‘if.’ The fact is she punched me, and because of that punch, I lost millions.”

“I can compensate you partially.”

Outside, snowflakes began to fall. Lin Qiupu’s face felt warm. He rarely did such things, but for his sister, he was willing.

At that moment, Lin Dongxue called. Before she could say anything, he said, “Jiang Yuqi agreed to drop the lawsuit.”

“I told you I’d handle it,” Lin Qiupu said with a smile.

“By the way, that girl is being sent to the detention center tonight. She wants to see someone one last time,” Lin Dongxue said.

Lin Qiupu glanced at the villa behind him, “Okay, I’ll inform them.”

“Inform who? She wants to see you!”
