The office building of MI9 was located on Beloteau Street in the Western District, a small, unassuming-looking three-story building.

It did not have any sign at the entrance that could indicate its identity, and only simply had a doorplate:

  ”9.”

The most central part of this office building was underground, above which were mainly civilian staff, of course, most of the extraordinary people affiliated with MI9 would not go underground if they had nothing to do, the environment there was not good, the atmosphere was depressing, and at any time there could be accidents due to improper guarding of the seals.

Hugh was currently the deputy head of the Domestic Security and Counterintelligence Unit, directly managing a not-so-small team of Extraordinary Persons, responsible for handling Intis-related espionage cases in the Birkeland region.

”There’s a mission here.” Her top boss, Lieutenant General Pantek, the Deputy Director of MI9 and head of the Domestic Security and Counterintelligence Group, picked up a document and handed it across the desk.

”Is it urgent?” Hugh asked cautiously as he took it in his hand.

Lieutenant General Pentecker was a typical old man of Rouen, with a rather severe receding hairline, he picked up his white glazed porcelain coffee cup and gently sipped it, saying:

  ”Not urgent, low danger.”

”In fact, this mission will be handed down to all members in the hopes that someone will complete it by sheer luck.”

Such a description was a bit out of Hugh’s expectation, but instead of opening the paper bag on the spot, she responded directly:

”I’ll pass it on to my group.”

Exiting Lieutenant General Pantek’s office, Hugh returned to the room that was hers.

As she threw her body into her seat, her entire being seemed to hide.

Quickly skimming through the documents in her hands, Hugh roughly understood why Mr. Deputy Director had said that:

The utopia that needed to be investigated didn’t seem to be anywhere on the North or South continents, nor on those islands known to the Five Seas.

A number of people had entered the so-called Utopia in the past two weeks, but they had done so in very different ways and in very different places: some had arrived in a horrible storm in the region of the Raging Sea off the Sunia Sea, some had stopped by mistake at that city due to a heavy rainstorm in the middle of the railroad that led from the Bay of Dixie to Berkland, and some had entered it in the county of West Vilas because they had lost their way… …

So far, no one has been harmed or left with mental effects from entering Utopia …… No wonder Deputy Commissioner Pentecost said the danger was low …… Also, the present cases cannot be summarized in a pattern, and it is difficult to use them to find the true location of Utopia, and there is There is no way to purposely send someone to enter and start an investigation, well …… Indeed, we can only inform all the members of the specifics of the matter, and hope that some of them will be able to discreetly and covertly gather some intelligence after arriving at Utopia by chance …… Hugh put down the paper in his hand, and stood up with a slight sense of regret up, ready to inform the subordinate Extraordinary Ones about the matter.

She regretted because the difficulty of accomplishing this mission was extremely high, and there was almost no hope in sight, which made it impossible for her to accumulate further merits.

In the past half a year or so, in order to cope with the predicted doomsday, Hugh was very busy every day, dealing with the affairs of MI9 while completing the various tasks given by Mr. “Fool”, so as to accumulate contributions on both sides, in order to exchange for the magic potion formula of “Law Mage” and the extraordinary traits, and to achieve the goal of becoming a demigod. Extraordinary characteristics, in preparation for the exchange of the “Law Mage” magic potion formula and the realization of the desire to become a demigod.

Up until now, Hugh was still a little short in both aspects, especially within MI9, if there was no great contribution, Hugh could not see any hope at all.

If it wasn’t for the fact that he could still receive a generous salary from MI9, enjoy all the benefits, and could rely on his status and identity to occupy a large amount of information to help him complete the tasks given by Mr. Fool, Hugh would have wanted to resign and become a bounty hunter again, which would have given him more freedom of time.

Next time at the Tarot meeting, we can ask about this case, maybe Mr. “World” will have some clues……. Hugh thought while pushing open the door of the room where the group members are located.

After explaining Utopia’s mission, Hugh made a point of urging:

”If the situation is not right, even if you have a chance to enter Utopia, you can just give up. That town that doesn’t know what’s real hasn’t shown any harm perhaps just because it hasn’t been stimulated.”

After another busy day, Hugh finally ended the day’s labors and was home by seven-thirty, enjoying limited relaxation over dinner with her mother, brother, and Forsyth.

In the early hours of the morning, she washed up, walked to her bedroom window, and pinched the curtains, preparing to draw them together.

During this process, Hugh naturally cast his eyes outside and noticed that the scarlet moon high in the sky had somehow become rounder and larger, and had deepened significantly in color, like blood that was flowing.

”Blood moon”…… Hugh turned her head violently and looked next door with concern, somewhat worried about the state of her best friend.

However, she quickly remembered that Voorhees is already a demigod of sequence 4, and is no longer afraid of the effects of the “full moon ravings”.

  ……

In the next room, Voorhees is lying on the bed, enjoying the “blood moon” outside the window, while enduring the pain of needles in his head, listening to Mr. Door:

”Although Sequence 3 to Sequence 2, incomplete mythological creatures to true mythological creatures, is indeed a qualitative change, I think Sequence 4 to Sequence 3 also has some degree of qualitative change, or even so to say, Sequence 3 is the most beautiful level in the extraordinary pathway.”

”At this level, there is no need to rely on external forces to combat the tendency to go insane and out of control, no need to endure torment every moment of every day, as well as having extraordinary abilities that completely transcend the ordinary, being more like a god than a human being, and with a small amount of harvesting of anchors to stabilize one’s mental state even further.”

”If it weren’t for the fact that most Sequence 3’s don’t live long enough to make it difficult to live beyond 500 years old, I don’t think there would be many saints who would be motivated to advance to angelic ……”

”Uh-huh.” Foerth nodded her head repeatedly, indicating that she was clear.

At the same time, she yawned rather stealthily with a slight twitch in her forehead.

She had become somewhat accustomed to the pain of direct conversation with Mr. Door.

  Mr. “Door” continued:

”Sequence 3 of the ‘Apprentice’ pathway is called ‘Wanderer’, which means that the Spirit World can no longer trap you either, and you can enter the stars and travel the Astral Realm, traveling to different planets to see the true deadness, the true desolation, the true grandeur, and civilizations that are completely different from the local ones.”

”Only after experiencing all of this firsthand can you realize how small this world you live in is ……”

Mr. “Door” briefly spoke about his own experience as a way to show the majesty and magnificence of the starry sky, and the thickness and charm of different civilizations.

It made Voorhees listen a little mesmerized, and she would have even forgotten that the narrator was a dangerous King of Angels if not for a stabbing pain in her head that was still reminding her.

”If you help me out of this, I will give you the formula and extraordinary properties of the ‘Wanderer’ potion and help you with the ritual, all of which can be paid for in advance, of course.” At the end of the “Full Moon Murmur”, Mr. “Door” gave another promise.

  ”How desirable.” Forsyth exclaimed heartily.

When Mr. Door’s voice faded and disappeared, Voorhees jerked off the lumbar cushion and lay down.

In less than three minutes she was sound asleep.

To her, the vastness of the stars was indeed fascinating, but it also held the danger of being tainted by mere knowledge, and she had no incentive to explore it at all.

”Wait until you’ve finished traveling the northern and southern continents and all of the five oceans before you consider ……,” Forsyth muttered to herself almost silently as she slept.

By now, the blood-red moon outside the window had long since faded, returning to a lighter scarlet and becoming less complete.

  ……

A huge blood-colored full moon hung over the edge of the cliff, illuminating the swamp below.

The swamp was dark red in color, constantly bubbling, with magma seemingly steaming everything at the bottom.

At a glance, the swamp had no boundaries at all, just like an ocean.

  Snap!

A rock fell from the edge of the cliff and crashed into the swamp.

In the next second, an air bubble emerged and broke silently, giving birth to a baby covered in blood.

This baby staggered and swam closer to the cliff face, trying to climb upwards.

  Snap!

The stone shattered under Emlyn White’s feet, and his entire body fell off the cliff, plummeting towards the swamp.

The Blood Count jolted out of his sleep, looking around in both fear and bewilderment.

When he was sure that this was his room, surrounded by a multitude of large, small, and unusually familiar dolls, Emlyn slowly exhaled, and with a rather stony expression, he muttered to himself:

”The dream just now was not simple.”

As a “Sorcerer King”, he knew enough about the dream realm.

Could this be the so-called “Divine Revelation”? But I didn’t get any revelation …… Emlin thought for a few dozen seconds, but didn’t find an answer, and then decided not to bother with this question, preparing to ask Father Utravski about it sometime.

  ……

The moon, faded to blood red and no longer full, illuminated the gardens of the Church of the Waves in a hazy light.

Alger reached out and caught the note “delivered” by the gale, unfolding it and reading it:

”Verdoux is looking for pirate or smuggling ships to Bansi.”

–The port of Bansi had not yet been rebuilt, and there were no passenger ships to Bansi, so Verdoux, who cherished the opportunity of “teleportation”, had to rely on unconventional methods.

Going to Bansi? Alger frowned at once.

He knew exactly what Bansi meant, but he didn’t understand why Verdoux wanted to go to Bansi at all.

There should be nothing left there!

No, even if the Church had leveled Bansi, there was still a certain abnormality left there, and, at first, the Church hadn’t been able to find out what problems were hidden in Bansi……. As a Cardinal, Alger was qualified to access some of the classified documents, which included the records of the Storm Church’s actions against Bansi at the time.

In addition, he also knew more from Mr. “Fool” and “World” Germaine Sparrow.

After thinking about it, Alger quickly made a decision to have his shadow guards arrange a pirate ship for Verdoux.

In this regard, Alger knew a lot of key people who didn’t even need to show up on their own, or in their own name.

Of course, in the Rothschild Archipelago, smuggling ships often equaled pirate ships as well.
