Chapter 29 – Conflict Begins
Dr. Mo’s face was expressionless, his eyes gently half-opened and half-closed, one hand firmly resting on Han Li’s wrist.
His entire mind was focused on the strength of Han Li’s internal true qi, and he didn’t say anything for a long time.
It was only after a tea’s worth of work that he let out a deep breath, seemingly spitting out all the chagrin in his heart, and his eyes snapped open, a wisp of refined light shooting out from his cloudy eyes, causing people to not dare to look at him.
His face was grim, clearly dissatisfied with Han Li, but there were still no words of scolding coming out.
He indifferently waved his hand, signaling Han Li to follow him along.
Han Li obediently followed behind him, although he was very interested in the mysterious person on the side, he knew that it was not the time for him to ask random questions.
After entering the room, Dr. Mo sat down somewhat tiredly on the eunuch chair, his back pressed against the backrest, half sitting, half lying down. The light in his eyes had dispersed, restoring the appearance of a person who had been sick for a long time.
The mysterious man had been following closely behind him without moving an inch, and after he sat down, he stood behind the chair, poking straight up and standing there motionless.
Han Li knows that the ink doctor heart is not happy, but also do not want to take the initiative to open the mouth to touch each other’s bad luck, like the mysterious man, walked to the center of the room, face towards the ink doctor lowered his head, no longer move, waiting for the other side of the open question.
After a long half a day or no words, Han Li some strange, can’t help it, quietly want to raise his head to steal a glance at the ink doctor.
”If you want to look, why are you sneaking around?” Having just raised his neck halfway, Dr. Mo’s cold and stern voice came over.
Han Li’s body was stunned for a moment, then he obediently raised his head, his eyes circled around Dr. Mo’s face a few times, and then immediately retracted back.
Han Li’s face didn’t change, but his heart was like a shocking wave, rolling over and over.
Ink doctor face how all of a sudden so weird, some gray face vaguely covered with a layer of light black gas, this black gas seems to have life in general, outstretched countless tiny tentacles, teeth and claws in his face dancing around. More alarming to Han Li is that the ink doctor has changed his deadpan look, and now has a face of fierce determination, is using an unsympathetic gaze at Han Li, and the corner of his mouth also reveals a few points of sneer of ridicule.
Han Li felt that the situation wasn’t quite right, a few uneasy emotions circled his heart, and a hint of danger began to spread within the room.
He alertly and cautiously stepped back half a step, shrinking his hand into his sleeve and grabbing one of the iron cylinders there, his taut nerves relaxing a bit, when a low mocking voice suddenly came from Dr. Mo’s ear: “A little cleverness, dare to take it out and show it off?”
Ink doctor body moved, bizarre from half lying into a standing position, after a grim smile and then body shape shook, the whole person as if a ghost to the side of Han Li, looking at Han Li “heh heh” sneer.
Han Li’s face changed greatly, know not good, hastily want to raise his arm, but the body of a numbness on the inability to move, and only then he saw the other finger from his own chest on the acupoints to take away.
It was really fast, he didn’t even notice the other party’s strike in the slightest.
”Elder Mo, what are you doing? If there’s anything wrong with my disciple, you old man can just open your mouth, why do you need to point at my acupoints?” Han Li could no longer maintain his previous composure at this time, and said to Elder Mo with a forced smile.
Dr. Mo did not say anything, just one hand hammered his back a few times, lightly coughed, a look of old age, weak.
However, Han Li had just seen his swift appearance of restraining himself, which still dared to really treat him as an ordinary seriously ill old man, and instead added a few more points of importance to this act of his.
”Doctor Mo, what is the status of your old man, and why do you need to be general with the disciple, you unlock the disciple’s acupoints, and what punishment there is, the disciple will bear it alone.”
……
Han Li said a few more nice, complimentary words in a row, but Dr. Mo simply ignored them and reached up to search out the iron cylinder from his sleeve, holding it in his hand before watching his performance with a mocking, scornful gaze.
When Han Li saw this situation, his heart instantly sank to the deepest depths, and his original hopes of impressing the other party with his words were completely cut off.
The other party looked like he would not give himself a single moment of opportunity to take advantage of the situation.
Han Li gradually closed his mouth, his face becoming serene as he stared back at Dr. Mo with a gaze devoid of the slightest bit of emotion.
All of a sudden, everything in the entire room seemed to have stood still in this instant, and the crows were silent, becoming as calm as before a storm.
”Good! Good! Good!” Dr. Mo’s three “good” words suddenly came out of his mouth.
”Worthy of being someone I, Mo Juren, have my eye on, to still be able to remain calm and unruffled in the face of danger now, it’s not in vain that I’ve invested so much money in you.” He complimented Han Li all at once.
”What exactly do you want to do with me?” Han Li didn’t pick up on Dr. Mo’s words, instead inquiring.
”Heh! How to dispose of you?” Dr. Mo repeated Han Li’s question without comment.
”How will you be disposed of? It depends on how you behave yourself.”
”What do you mean?” Han Li frowned a bit, vaguely guessing some of the other party’s intentions.
”If I don’t say it, with your intelligence you should be able to understand a few points, right?”
”I can only guess a small portion, but I still don’t understand the ins and outs, causes and consequences of the whole thing.” Han Li didn’t deny it and admitted it quite frankly.
”Very well, that’s the right thing to do. Just ask me directly if you have any doubts, don’t keep them bottled up.” Dr. Mo smiled sinisterly, and the black aura on his face seemed to have thickened a few more layers, reflecting his face even more hideously.
”I know you’ve always been wary of me, not really treating me as a master. But that’s fine, I don’t really see you as a disciple either.” Dr. Mo said with a light hum.
