Chapter 25
The night was dreamless.
Glancing at the drowsy man at her side, the clear red marks on his backline, Wen Ning clearly understood what she had done to be so audacious.
To say that she had led the wolves into the house would not be an exaggeration.
She thought that her move was still quite light, but it still woke up the sleeping man, “You always wake up this early.”
Wen Ning snapped, “You continue to sleep.”
Compared to the last time, the woman who had paid for the room suddenly had a sense of confidence, no longer apologizing for waking up the man in front of her, but just casually instructed.
Zhou Yinchu opened his hazel eyes, “It’s almost time to wake up, accompanying you to bed early and waking up early, for me, this is a positive change.”
He was extremely good at making his words sound grandiose.
She couldn’t tell the difference between what he said and what he didn’t, but she didn’t want him to get up right away, not only because there would be a man crowding her space, but also to avoid being inseparable from him again in the middle of the day.
It was a confusing yet addictive feeling that always perked up the five senses with ease.
Despite acquiescing to yesterday’s events, Wenning still didn’t want to lay it all out in the open-
preferring such a relationship to be hidden for the night.
“Don’t you want to treat me to a bowl of your handmade small wontons?”
Zhou Yinchu’s nature was to get what he wanted, and his mention of going back with her without any sense of boundaries was as smooth as eating or drinking water.
“Mr. Zhou, you should be eating your mountain delicacies,” the woman who had been satisfied at night seemed to have become extremely forgetful in an instant, and there was no emotion in her instantly warm and soft statement, “instead of going to eat a bowl of small wontons in clear soup.”
She laughed softly, “Taste two bites, maybe you’ll find the flavor quite fresh, Mr. Zhou, but swallow a few more bites, and you’ll get bored.”
The metaphor about the wontons still accidentally turned to the level of their relationship today.
Zhou Yinchu, having lost control, half leaned against the bed, “Wenning.”
Yesterday’s events are still fresh in his mind, even if it’s something that would be ridiculously unspeakable to anyone, it’s so logical when it comes out of Zhou Yinchu’s mouth, “If you want to blame it on the fact that the rain has stopped outside, I don’t have a way to prove it.”
“That’s crazy.”
“But I just want to eat your handmade ravioli, you never used to make anything for me to eat ……” He seldom dabbled in the past, and when desire took over, he never talked about it.
“Your stomach was too hard to serve.”
“I’ve changed,” Zhou Yinchu lifted half of the quilt and tightly hooked Wen Ning’s fingers, “Wen Ning, you may as well try.”
Wen Ning was unable to look directly at Zhou Yinchu’s face, not to mention the flesh that he was hiding under half of the quilt at the moment, which he wanted to cover but couldn’t completely. Body, he was always not shy about letting her gaze take in more.
“Get up.”
What she’d originally said should have been to dress him as well, not to waste the big morning, she was in the morning stall business and couldn’t afford his dawdling.
But snapping her head back, she crashed into what was, naturally, airtight and belonging to his embrace.
Fingers were not intentionally light, but gravity was intentionally troubling, and the descent was unintentional, always outlining familiar lines.
“Could it be that you really just don’t want it anymore?”
Wen Ning hated to spit in his face, but felt that doing so would only make the man more excited, “Big morning …… either, I’m just as crazy as you are.”
The man’s reply was, as always, unmoved, “Wenning, I’m sober.”
He boldly held her up close to his waist.
An inch closer was a descent into new sins, while a foot away was less a reflection of a clear stance and more a deliberate sleight of hand to play with people’s hearts.
Wandering on the edge of losing control, his fingertips were always tugging at the direction, the development, the climax, the end of another matter.
The searing heat seemed to make the air conditioning in the room a nullity.
Outside the window, the subtle clamor of the early morning birds in this subtle ringing are particularly clear, and so Wenning really reacted to the time, is when she opened the door has to be later than usual.
They parted on the hotel floor.
In the end, it was a tiptoe misplaced kiss, the woman as if in order to rush to do their own business, and had to give the appeasement, but this in the man’s view, but not enough.
“I’m not quite ready for this.”
“There’s no rush.”
Wen Ning did not take Zhou Yinchu back to her Hundun Pavilion, and she figured but anyone who wanted to be ashamed would never do so.
With a rare face, she said to Xiao Yang, who had already boiled two kettles of hot water, “Sorry for the late start.”
Xiao Yang greeted her with a smile, “Sister Ning, it doesn’t matter.”
She had already neatly finished most of the preparations for the morning, and had already begun to familiarize herself with placing wontons one by one for the customers’ orders.
Wen Ning grabbed an apron and hurriedly started wrapping the wontons, she insisted on making them every day, unless it was a special packaged back frozen order, usually made with fresh pork on the same day.
Because of this dedication, her taste in the outside compared to a few, a ride.
But the competition in the big city is equally cruel, despite Wen Ning’s hard work to maintain the quality of her meat and quality control, but those chain stores in the price of 12-20 yuan wontons still dominate the market, her business in recent years, although not a massive shrinkage, but also reached a certain bottleneck.
She concentrated on chopping the green onions and cilantro on her cutting board.
However, the forced stop of a car in front of the door signaled the arrival of that unexpected visitor.
It did seem like she was doing her best to ignore it, but it was hard not to notice the impractical and overly flashy black and gold divo like that.
She could see that Zhou Yinchu must have been very busy lately, or else he wouldn’t have deliberately driven around for no reason at all. Compared to his “accidental” passing, Wen Ning was more worried about him suddenly getting out of the car and announcing their relationship without warning.
She suffered from this inexplicable fear.
After all, the man driving the Bugatti never followed the rules.
But Zhou Yinchu seemed to instantly understand her nervousness the moment he locked eyes with himself from the car window, he just waved in an unusual manner and then drove his Bugatti to disappear in front of her store.
Xiao Yang obviously saw Ning’s sister sighed in relief, and thought that something big had happened.
Along the line of sight of Ning sister, but saw nothing, only remember a car butt a little strange car shadow, a flash.
Sister Ning, however, suddenly took off her apron with one hand.
“Xiao Yang, you take care of the store first, I’m going out.”
In this instant, Wen Ning didn’t know what emotions ruled her, or if she was filled with unspeakable gratitude for his high-profile entrance and exit.
She picked up her cell phone and quickly returned to the page of text messages she had exchanged with him.
Wenning: [You stop at the intersection of the neighborhood in front of you and wait for me].
156521***34: [Okay.]
He replied back in seconds.
Looking around at the customers crowding the small store, Wen Ning hoofed down an extra bowl of small wontons and secretly hid two more halogen eggs.
The half-knowing Xiao Yang was still innocently asking, “Is it to deliver some big order?”
Wen Ning didn’t have the face to look at Xiao Yang, unconsciously rushed up, holding the bowl portion of the plastic box that was really quite a lot, muttering, “Sort of.”
Crossing the crooked alleyway, Wenning found him in a parking space under the green at the intersection.
“Bringing me breakfast in person?”
She clumsily handed over the bowl of wontons with her own hands without probing the man’s deep eyes, “Love it or hate it.”
“Wen Ning, why are you looking around all the way, in fact, originally the two of us couldn’t see any cattiness,” Zhou Yinchu lifted the bowl of wontons as if he were holding on to the fruits of his victory, “but it’s you who is doing this that makes it easy for people to think that we’re sneaking around, as if it’s plainly telling the onlookers that we have ‘improprieties’ between us. have an ‘improper’ relationship.”
She understands that Zhou Yinchu is doing this on purpose, she kindly came to bring him breakfast but forgot about his original material abundance, letting him admire the blush on her face for nothing.
“I can’t get away there, I’ll leave first.”
Zhou Yinchu solemnly carries the bowl of wontons she brought before him, commenting, “It smells good.”
The bowl of wontons that said it wouldn’t be there suddenly reappeared in Zhou Yinchu’s hands in such a way, and the wait was a full fifteen years.
Fifteen years of twists and turns was too long, so long that the man who had always been arrogant and had his eyes high above the ground would feel that it wasn’t real.
A familiar face suddenly appeared in the car’s front mirror.
Zhou Yinchu reluctantly put down the bowl of wontons in his hands, it’s rare that someone would make him want to take the initiative to greet him nowadays: “Auntie.”
The vaguely mottled back was no one else but Wen Ning’s mother.
The woman with gray hair called out to him with a smile.
“Yinchu?”
“It’s me.”
“Auntie, is it convenient to get in the car and talk?”
Wen Ning’s mother then got into the car, she wasn’t very good at closing the doors of this car, her face was embarrassed and anxious.
Zhou Yinchu took great pains to teach.
Eventually, Wen Ning’s mother finally learned this particular door closing technique.
“Auntie thought she was old and blind, why are you here?” Wen Ning’s mother, despite her age, still knew the most basic human feelings, she politely said, “You were eating wontons just now, why don’t you go to the store to eat?”
Zhou Yinchu let out a light laugh.
“I’m afraid Ning is reluctant.”
“Yinchu,” Mother Wen half-understood, but had long since seen the cat’s mea culpa amongst her daughter’s nightly absence, “You and Ningning this?”
“As you can see, Auntie, I was stalking you last night,” Zhou Yinchu nodded, “but Ningning didn’t fully accept me either.”
Early summer, under the first rays of sunlight, the man bluntly bared his ongoing pursuit.
“But there’s something auntie doesn’t know if she should say?”
“You say it, Auntie.”
“It’s nothing more than the fact that there’s such a big difference between your and Ningning’s conditions, your mother’s attitude aside,” Mother Wen hesitated, and eventually pulled into the most sensitive area, she was satisfied with her grandson, but didn’t think that another man would be able to accept Chuchu so quickly, “We, Ningning, still have our own child ……”
“I don’t mind.”
Zhou Yinchu makes a clear-cut reference to another person related to their past relationship, “My mother can’t be my master.”
He handed over a business card, “If there’s anything else that Auntie is not comfortable with, you can always come to my company to find me.”
When a man desperately wanted to get close to a woman, there was never a hard time in the world, and even if there were a million difficulties, they could always find a way to eliminate them.
“Auntie, we’ve already missed fifteen years, I don’t want the next fifteen years to be filled with regrets.”
In reality, there was no one who didn’t love to ride the dragon, but Wen Ning’s mother’s concern was overflowing.
She tried to say something more, “Our family Ningning ……”
It wasn’t that she intentionally counted her own daughter’s various shortcomings, but rather, she wanted to see how much of Zhou Yinchu’s sincerity was there by saying something like this.
“Auntie, I’m not asking you to help me.”
“Auntie understands what you mean, Yinchu, you’re so excellent, auntie has no reason to stop you,” Mother Wen saw Zhou Yinchu’s attitude was resolute, she herself actually couldn’t be the master of her son or daughter, otherwise she wouldn’t have allowed Wen Ning to go down the stairs last night, she only had the cheek to exhort, “only that our Ning Ning has already eaten better than the ordinary people have suffered several times over, I, as a mother, really don’t want to see her suffer.”
“Auntie, I’m here, I won’t let Wen Ning suffer.”
Zhou Yinchu rarely made assurances with people, but it seemed to him that the person making the assurances was nothing more than wanting to utilize the verbal assurances to gain some substantial benefits.
After all, guarantees that were not written in black and white were never meaningful.
He didn’t know what words other people usually said when they were building their families, but he was willing to say that with hers.
And his knuckles were slightly strained as he said it, and by the time Mother Wen got out of the car, the knuckles of his tightly clasped index finger were white.
The color of blood was all gone.
After finishing this wave of business in the morning, Wen Ning was finally free to be able to flip through her cell phone page.
One message in particular drew attention.
156521***34: [Your mom agreed.]
Wen Ning: [?
That message was so eager to tell her the truth, in such a swift manner, that Wen Ning had a hard time digesting it for a while.
She clearly remembered how her mother didn’t want her to go downstairs last night, recounting the world of difference between herself and others, discouraging her absurd and unruly behavior, and repeating the old saying of “eggs and pebbles”.
Her reply was followed by a more comprehensive text message.
156521***34: [Wenning, your mom agreed that I should pursue you. I can see that she should really want us to go further].
Wen Ning was not sure what role her mother had played though, and what she had said to Zhou Yinchu to make him mistakenly think that he had a full grasp of the relationship.
The mother is probably not so desperate to see them “go further”.
Wen Ning, who did not want to make it public, watched Zhou Yinchu turn his car around in front of the wonton store and thought that he really would not make it public this time.
It was she who had overestimated Zhou Yinchu.
But for the time being, Che Che is still continuing to receive psychological counseling it, her attitude did not change easily: [Then it’s better to keep it a secret for now, Che Che is still young, he still has a long way to go].
156521***34: [OK.]
Wen Ning was still worried, she had always understood a secret, that is, a secret can be concealed, but a heavenly secret may not be.
While she smiles weakly at Zhou Yinchu’s false promise, the arrival of the next text message catches her off guard.
156521***34: [This seems to have become more exciting.]
The disciplined Wen Ning was exasperated at the man’s shamelessness, but repeatedly couldn’t find the words to go and deny it.
Compared to meeting with a lover, meeting with a lover hidden in concealment was always tantalizing.
In those hidden, unseen places, they could implicitly tell each other their feelings in the most traditional way.
