Chapter 47
In the face of the child’s accusations, Wenning did not intend to be obedient.
There were times when it was good for well-behaved children to have their own subjective judgment, but it was not so wonderful to use it to see through an adult’s heart.
None of those hidden minds showed.
Especially the ones that she, as a mother, tried to avoid, rather than let anyone see through.
“You go to bed quickly.” The patient and gentle Wen Ning rarely urged.
The understanding Chuchu did not reluctantly leave, nor did he continue to say anything to embarrass his mother, but it was clear that his expression was always saying, “See, even I know.”
The sound of footsteps outside the door loomed.
Wenning opened the door, questioning the man at the door carefully, “When did you get here?”
“I smoked a cigarette at the bottom, and just went upstairs,” Zhou Yinchu propped one hand on her doorframe, not understanding, “What’s wrong?”
He seems to realize that something is happening, and for him, it has an important meaning, “Did I miss something?”
“Nothing.”
Wen Ning was instantly relieved, thinking that the conversation between herself and Li Che’s classmate had not been heard by the man, and that she this was not so bad that she couldn’t hold her head up as a human being.
However, seeing the situation, the bewildered Zhou Yinchu inevitably did not hear it, otherwise, how could his face not appear to respond to the arrogance.
And miss the man at that moment do not know the child’s eyes “like”, but she personally presented a hand puppet, a ceremony clear and add a small favor, has been enough to let the man logically carry out the whole night.
The night wind is brisk.
Zhou Yinchu changed a two-person coupe, compared to the previous one Maybach, lifting the car canopy, so she always feel closer to nature, from him also closer.
The scent of the sky after the rain, the smell of exuberant summer grass and trees, and the fir on Zhou Yinchu’s body blended together, flooding her senses.
When she raised her eyes, she realized that the road they were going on did not seem to be a fixed drive to that familiar hotel.
“Didn’t you want to go to our house?”
Zhou Yinchu had no intention of keeping his not-so-private domain, “I don’t have a hidden unseen place-“
Wen Ning wondered, “But didn’t you say that place was unlucky?”
“Several generations of unfortunate people have lived in it, indeed.”
Zhou Yinchu had no understanding of women at all, but he knew something about Wen Ning, only that she was a person who would not force herself in the open, but it did not mean that she could be completely unconcerned about this kind of detail in her heart, “But I don’t want my wife to misunderstand me and misunderstand that there are other women outside of me.”
Wen Ning tried to lightly brush it off with a sentence, “I didn’t say that.”
“You can go and get acquainted, it’s rare to go, the feng shui there can’t affect us,” Zhou Yinchu spun the steering wheel with one hand, smoothly making a complete turn at the intersection, after confirming the condition of the car, and that there was not a single car in front of him, his whole body and soul focused on her alone, his eyes flickered suddenly, and a group of stars were listed, and all of them fell into his eyes, “After that, we’ll have our new home.”
“That said, I haven’t gone to view the new home yet,” Wen Ning proposed the plan of piggybacking on He Mei, “Can I find He Mei to go over and take a look with me?”
After all, among Wen Ning’s circle of friends, He Mei was a bit more socially experienced, and could always provide some referable decorating options.
“Of course, you’re the mistress of the house.”
Wen Ning teased him, “Aren’t you afraid she’ll say bad things about you?”
The atmosphere between the two of them instantly became relaxed, neither of them grasping and biting at the past, and neither of them acquiescing that they wouldn’t be shallow for tonight’s kiss at the restaurant.
Wen Ning joked about Zhou Yinchu in passing.
Perhaps, spectating the man in front of her, excessively ascetic and hard to resist handsome, always equally made her unable to hold her tongue.
However, Zhou Yinchu was quite self-aware in this matter, “When have I ever had a good reputation with your friends?”
“When I asked how you were doing, they all pushed me three times and invited me, like I was a heavenly villain.”
“You don’t look like a good man.”
The convertible, the British-made Meridian stereo used only in luxury cars like Ferraris was blasting out a low-noise rock, and they looked at each other and smiled.
He did not intentionally emphasize his goodness, but condoned being the “villain” in their words, but for Zhou Yinchu, as long as he could be by Wen Ning’s side at all times, it did not matter if he was notorious or even infamous.
Wen Ning guffawed, “They’re all just trying to protect me too.”
She has a very good and very good friendship, and perhaps, in the future, will have a long and fascinating “feelings”.
Wen Ning wasn’t prepared to come to Zhou Yinchu’s house, thinking that if she met the butler and gardener, she wouldn’t know exactly how to greet them.
But at night, Zhou’s house was particularly silent, plunged into a whole piece of solemnity. They passed one after another through a patch of shrubs, greenery, and the building actually sat in the center of the next district.
In the past, she remembered that he always rode a mountain bike in that same direction when she was in love in high school.
She had never been to this home to observe, but in the path next door to the city, beside the classmates coaxing said “your boyfriend lives there”, she blushed to death.
At this hour, the servants had gone to rest early, and no one disturbed their peace and quiet.
As soon as Wen Ning entered the house, she looked around at the furnishings, thinking about Zhou Yinchu’s previous clear resistance but insisted on bringing her here to argue, she smiled sweetly, “I have to take a closer look, just in case there are traces of another woman here.”
“Maybe so I can ask you to extort a good deal of money.”
“There is no other woman,” Zhou Yinchu looked as usual, deep in the darkness of the night but filled with possessive desire . Desire that could not be concealed and no longer needed to be concealed with the aid of external objects, “You don’t have to extort to have one.”
He led her directly toward his study-
This was not a qualified host, or perhaps, Wen Ning was still used to being a guest, and when she realized that Zhou Yinchu probably shouldn’t have introduced this, and that she herself sometimes needed to take the initiative to find out, her mind was not as serene as it had been when she had stepped into this villa.
He pressed the combination to the safe in front of her, unapologetically.
“Some cash money is in there, how much do you want?” Possibly realizing that there was no way Wen Ning would even ask for it, this man who desperately wanted to share everything with her made a less burdensome suggestion, “Take a thousand first, two thousand?”
Calculating in terms of “ten thousand”, Wen Ning felt a bit anticlimactic, and it was hard not to think that Zhou Yinchu was using it to pay back that small gift.
It wasn’t like he was going to dissipate his family’s wealth just because he had gotten a Lego that he had bought for him, right?
“What do I need that much money for?” Wen Ning admitted that she was merely joking, she didn’t clearly understand his financial situation and was always reluctant to affect his economy, “In case it affects your company’s cash flow situation ……”
“This amount of money can not affect.” He is especially not low key.
Wen Ning pushed back, “Even if I take it, I won’t know how to use it for a while.”
“A passbook is ten million dollars,” Zhou Yinchu but hated to give her more, not to be refused, “Another card balance is also one thousand, current, you can use it at any time, do not have to take another.”
He was generous beyond words, and seemed to care nothing about the money at his disposal, “After that, you can use it to spend as much as you want.”
“That’s not good.”
Although the love of money is nature, Wenning remembered the initial differences because of the “100,000 dollars” toward the matter of money to behave particularly cautious.
She knew that a good relationship was unafraid to talk about money.
But she did not have the impulse to dominate these for the time being: “It’s better to put it in your place first, when I have the need to use money afterward, I will take the initiative to find you.”
Wen Ning returned the money with a tattoo.
Yet again, he jolted to notice the haste between Zhou Yinchu’s breaths, the flippancy, the kind of catching off guard when he was not accepted, and was compelled to ask with concern, “What, are you still not happy?”
Zhou Yinchu loosens his collar, “You’re my woman, using my money, isn’t it a natural thing to do?”
Wen Ning was incredulous, “What kind of overlord statement is this?”
“I found that Zhou Yinchu, you’re usually quite normal, but when it comes to money matters, you’re quite careful.”
“I’m not willing to use it, and you’re still angry,” Wen Ning didn’t understand the man’s thinking logic in the end, and still had to patiently and attentively explain, “Isn’t it also my hope that some elements of money can be removed between us?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
As long as his money could enlist her and could keep her away from himself, then he could earn a constant stream of money every day.
“What, on our second day of marriage, we’re going to have a falling out over our views on money?”
“How could I?”
“I’m your husband, you deserve to be comfortable with my money,” Zhou Yinchu stubbornly held his ground, “There’s no need to resort to other women’s excuses, I’ll have as much as you want.”
Wen Ning laughed to herself, “Good regret ah, I was taking a small amount of money, lost a large amount of money oh.”
“It’s good that you can react.”
His hands had tightened around her, falling into an embrace that was so soft that it was like a cloud, making one feel ethereal yet excited, muffled, “What a wrong decision it was to leave me.”
“So, the first time I came to your house, was it to recognize my mistake?”
“Zhou Yinchu, I’ve kind of seen through you.”
The conservative, traditional woman had all but forgotten the last time and occasion she had pampered someone.
She couldn’t help the few moments of curiosity in her heart, “Say, didn’t your family work hard for generations to earn all this money?”
“No,” Zhou Yinchu raises his eyes and looks at her “cleanly”, “Every bit of it was earned by myself.”
“From the day I went to North America, I haven’t used half a cent of this family’s expenses.”
There was nothing to hide.
Of course, these were also words that Zhou Yinchu never revealed in front of outsiders, deliberately manifesting himself, and only spoke with a light touch when he spoke of them in front of her.
It was as if, like every mortal, a woman’s approval was either indispensable to them.
Wen Ning heard Zhou Yinchu’s words, “Then I should compliment our General Manager Zhou for being awesome at this time?”
“It’s fine for you to compliment in bed.” His words were blunt and revealing.
Zhou Yinchu was still so involved in that area at the drop of a hat.
“How do you have the nerve to say such words?”
He let out a muffled grunt, “Am I not good?”
She braced her hands on his desk, doing a diaphanous magazine that appeared out of nowhere, and he picked her up, smoothly, and happened to be sitting on top of the spread out magazine.
“I haven’t gotten around to reading that financial weekly.”
“What about it?”
The man’s bewildering words were always dizzying, or perhaps, from the moment she had seen his eyes in the convertible, she had borne out the fact that Chelsea saw through them.
At the moment, as if he had learned to live no longer in extravagance, determined not to waste the perusal of any weekly magazine, he read a row of fine, small print.
“Some parts are invisible.” He said.
She had to make room for him.
Exactly how to vacate yet there were a million different ways to say it.
“Chou Yinchu.” They hadn’t seen through each other so clearly under an incandescent light, under as heightened daylight.
The gap reserved in the middle of that magazine seemed to be getting narrower and narrower.
“It’s hard to see.” It was evident that his field of vision was not originally fully focused on that magazine either.
Until that magazine rolled to the ground, they owned each other.
