Chapter 0028: It’s not like what was promised
”They’re coming over now?” Chen Ge actually didn’t put the seniors from Heshan on his mind.
”I’m secretly reporting to you, the seniors are going to record a funny video in your haunted house and put it on the internet to make schoolmates happy. You can’t blame them for being sinister, there are five classes in our department, only seven females in total, and the one you scared to tears is still the department flower. Boss, take care of yourself!” Heshan seemed to have someone walking around him, he hung up the phone when he finished.
”Recording a funny video in my haunted house?” Chen Ge put away his cell phone, his face was odd: “Those who study forensics are more daring, it’s just right for them to come and try out the new scene for me, I hope they can still laugh by then.”
Lunch time was over, Chen Ge came downstairs and pushed open the guardrail of the haunted house, and the tourists who didn’t have a chance to visit in the morning immediately gathered around.
Some of them were those who had watched Chen Ge’s short videos and live streams and had come here specially from other places, some were those who were amenable to their relatives and friends, and others were there purely out of curiosity, noticing that so many people were in line and feeling that this project must be very interesting.
”Ticket twenty, for the best experience, do not enter more than three at a time.” Chen Ge maintained the order of the scene while communicating with Xu Wan, the two of them were busy.
Time passed without realizing it, and at around three o’clock in the afternoon, seven fashionably dressed young people entered the New Century Paradise, and as if they were carrying some sort of mission, they walked directly towards the House of Horrors.
The seven people had different personalities, and they seldom communicated with each other, quietly lining up at the entrance of the haunted house, making the whole queue a much more serious atmosphere.
Ten minutes later, when the last batch of tourists came out holding each other, the tallest one among the seven walked up to Chen Ge.
”Boss, six tickets.” His voice was very calm.
Chen Ge looked up at him and swept the group, “The seven of you aren’t together?”
”This one is only responsible for leading the way.” The big tall man directly pushed out Heshan behind him.
”Boss, I won’t go in.” Heshan already had a psychological shadow over the House of Horrors, he snorted and hurriedly ducked back.
”You’ve come all the way here, how can I let you be outside? This ticket is considered a gift for you.” Chen Ge casually handed over seven tickets, “You’re all from the Jiujiang Academy of Forensic Sciences, right? Please take care of us in the future.”
Chen Ge had a kind face and was very enthusiastic, causing the several students of the School of Forensic Medicine who had not yet stepped into society to be a little embarrassed instead.
”Heshan, the boss gave you the tickets, so don’t push back.” The big tall man handed out the tickets to everyone, and their next move sent the surrounding tourists into a frenzy.
Instead of entering the haunted house directly, they gathered at the entrance.
”Heshan and I will form a group; Monkey and Old Zhao will form a group; Old Song, Xiaohui, and Shi Ling you three will form a group, before you come, did you memorize all the strategy posts on the bar?”
”En, all memorized.”
”The entire scene of the simple map Heshan has drawn out, inside the organs we are all clear, I hope that you can be mentally prepared in advance, do not show a trace of fear, take out our Jiujiang Forensic Science Institute’s momentum!”
”Understood!”
”Good, from now on, adjust your state and get excited! Speed up your breathing, pretend you’re ready to skydive, bungee jump, get every cell moving!”
”Right! Put on a menacing face! You’re an evil ghost that’s meaner than the average ghost! You’re not afraid of anything!”
”Do you remember the oath you took when you entered school!”
”If your heart is not right, your sword will be slanted!”
”The Jiujiang Academy of Forensic Sciences speaks for the dead and defends the rights of the living!”
”Let’s go! Let’s go!”
A few people were so fervent that even the tourists next to them couldn’t help but applaud them, and Chen Ge also applauded them in his heart.
The guardrail was pulled open, and Heshan and Big Tall Man took the lead, “We two will take the lead, and we’ll come out later to share our experience with you.”
The two walked up to Chen Ge with quite a bit of vigor.
”Just the two of you?”
”Don’t you guys have a rule here that a maximum of three people can visit at once at the same time?”
”Oh, that’s the rule for the Underworld Marriage themed scene, you guys don’t need to care, seven people should come together to save the delay.” Chen Ge brought a few people into the haunted house, where the temperature was much lower than outdoors, “You guys go and sign the waiver agreement on the table first, whatever accidents happen in the haunted house have nothing to do with this haunted house, then I can bring you in for a visit.”
”That wasn’t there last time I was here, was it?” Heshan walked over to the table and looked at it.
”That’s because no one has ever been scared unconscious before you.” Chen Ge looked at the seven vibrant forensic science students with a smile, “Regarding the background of this haunted house of mine, I’m sure Heshan has already told you all, so I won’t be long-winded. Leaving you guys here is to give you another heads up.”
Chen Ge slowly tightened his smile as he took out his cell phone and searched for that morning’s news: “The Ping An Apartment extermination case from five years ago was finally solved, but there is still a murderer who hasn’t been caught, and originally, this has nothing to do with you guys, but when I came to work in the morning, I found that the door of the House of Horrors was open, and it seems as if someone hid inside. Ping An Apartment and New Century Paradise are both in the western suburbs, so hopefully it’s just me thinking too much.”
In just a few sentences, Chen Ge sowed the seeds of doubt, he didn’t need to make Heshan and the others believe, he was just giving them a direction to think about. After all, even if something virtualized was real, it was far less scary than reality.
After several people had all signed the waiver, Chen Ge led them to the third floor and slowly pushed open the door to the Midnight Escape theme scene.
A cold wind blew from somewhere in the eerie hallway of the building, and behind a half-open door of a room, there seemed to be people peering in, intricate passages, endless steps, burnt roofs, and knife marks as horrifying as scars could be seen everywhere.
The hot blood of a few forensic science students had gone cold at the sight of the scene.
One by one, they froze in place, and unanimously, all of them looked at Heshan.
”Where’s the quadrangle?”
”Is this not quite the same as what was promised?”
”I was able to open the coffin quickly, but I practiced weighted push-ups for a night ……”
A few people looked at Heshan and almost made him cry, this naive college student could only ask Chen Ge for help, however, Chen Ge didn’t give him any response, “The theme of this scene is Midnight Escape, please don’t take pictures or videos inside the scene, violators will be responsible for their own consequences. The exit is hidden in the middle of the scene, the time limit is twenty minutes, if you are really scared during this period, you can scream at the monitor, I will bring you out.”
After a few people all entered the hallway of the building, Chen Ge smiled and gazed at them, “Finally, I wish you all a good time.”
