Chapter 0244: You saw something you shouldn’t have seen
The blood-red numbers on the display stung a bit, and when 24 lit up, the elevator doors opened to both sides.
The hallway was dripping with blood that hadn’t yet solidified, and the walls had more new scratches.
A faint odor of blood wafted through the air, as if something very horrible had just happened here.
Chen Ge removed the killing knife tied to his calf, held it in his backhand, and hid it in his sleeve.
”Go in and take a look.”
A cold chill ran down his back, Chen Ge did not turn around, he knew that Zhang Ya was right behind him.
The hallway was quiet, any sound could be heard clearly.
About a third of the way down, the sound of something being cut came from Chen Ge’s ears.
After taking a few more steps forward, Chen Ge finally determined that the sound was coming from the room where he had first met the beak man.
”There are ten seats placed next to the dining table, probably representing the initial ten patients, and the bird’s beak man is in charge of all sorts of miscellaneous things, so what is his status amongst the Weird Tales Association?”
Thinking for a moment, Chen Ge shook his head, there was no need to think about this now, he didn’t come here to investigate anything, but rather he was prepared to completely destroy this association composed of lunatics.
”Again, they are all three-star horror scenes, Zhang Ya shouldn’t be too weak for them.”
Stopping outside that room, Chen Ge looked at the scene inside the security door and his brows couldn’t help but furrow.
A man who seemed to be wearing a bird’s beak mask was squatting in the corner with a tool in his hand, and in front of him lay an old man with a mask thrown next to him.
That mask Chen Ge had seen in the house where the gathering was held, and the number one newcomer had worn it before.
”What are you doing?” Chen Ge blocked the doorway as he suddenly opened his mouth, startling the man, and one could clearly see the bird’s beak man’s shoulders shaking.
The other person didn’t turn his head, keeping his back to Chen Ge, “Everyone has left, why aren’t you leaving?”
”Aren’t you guys preparing to serve dinner? I’ve only left for a little while and you guys are done eating?” Chen Ge had some regrets in his heart, no matter what the cause was, there might be a change in today’s plan.
”There was a small problem, some of them received a message from the chairman and left temporarily.” The bird-beaked man still didn’t turn around, his upper body seemed to be frozen as if his back was to Chen Ge, facing the old man on the ground.
”A message from the president?” Chen Ge realized that there was something odd about this man and walked inside, “Can you tell me where they went?”
”No idea.” The man paused and added, “I advise you not to come over.”
”There’s only one elevator at the end of the building, I haven’t left the elevator car since the beginning, could there be another entrance or exit here?” Chen Ge had gotten quite a few clues from the man’s words, and now that the others had left, he could only get information from this bird-beaked man.
”Someone will tell you this later, now you can leave.” The bird-beaked man moved and stiffened, as if he intentionally didn’t turn his proper face around.
Chen Ge was not here to discuss things with him, and after the bird’s beak man finished speaking, instead of leaving, he took a few more steps inward.
”They’ve all left, why are you still here? Have you always lived in this place?” Chen Ge had question after question.
”I’m only responsible for cleaning and cooking.”
”Interesting.” Chen Ge had always been suspicious of the man with the bird’s beak, who was free to stay on the 24th floor and was in charge of everything here.
Was it possible that this man was the president?
Perhaps the other members had lied and the chairman wasn’t actually among them.
Chen Ge wanted to prove this, asking the bird’s mouth man the other party would definitely not tell the truth, so he decided to use one of the most direct methods.

”I don’t understand what you’re trying to say, the other members have left, this should be bad news for you.” Chen Ge continued to approach as if he didn’t see the blood on the beak man’s pants.
”Is that so?”
The bird-beaked man took a step to the side, revealing the old man’s horrified corpse with a horrified face.
”Every once in a while there are always some newcomers who inexplicably disappear, and everyone is used to it.” He seemed to be talking to himself, but it was as if he was deliberately trying to make Chen Ge hear him.
After saying this, the man with the bird’s beak turned around, and what attracted more attention than the strange tool he held in his hands and the blood stains on his upper body was his face.
He wasn’t wearing a mask at all!
The flared out beak-like mouth was growing on his face, and with the characteristic blood of the monster behind the door swimming in his cheeks, this guy might not be human!
”I gave you a chance, but you didn’t cherish it.” The bird’s beak man flung the odd implement in his hand, making a rattling sound, “I wanted to do this from the first time I saw you, it’s just that there were too many people I didn’t find the opportunity, I didn’t think you would dare to find it back on your own.”
Things were not quite the same as Chen Ge thought, at first he thought he was dealing with people.
”If I had known, I wouldn’t have wasted so many words.” Chen Ge stared at the bird’s beak man’s face, the monster behind the door wanted to survive outside the door for a long period of time, it had to be attached to a living person to survive, what wrapped around the bird’s beak man’s entire head should be a type of monster he had never seen before.
