Chapter 0283 – Sister Runs Behind That Man
”Fan Yu is saying strange things to the other children?”
Chen Ge keenly realized the problem, Fan Yu possessed a pair of eyes that could see ghosts and monsters, that kid wasn’t bad by nature, the words he said that sounded strange to adults were most likely true.
”Yes, in order not to affect the treatment, we sent those kids to a regular psychological institution for psychological correction. But you have to know, our orphanage is a public welfare organization, the funds given by the above are limited every year, and most of the time we rely on donations from caring people from all walks of life to keep it running.” The dean was helpless: “Sending children to formal psychological institutions to receive treatment once or twice is fine, but if we keep going on like this, we can’t afford it either.”
After saying this, the dean looked up at Chen Ge, seemingly testing Chen Ge’s attitude.
When he saw Chen Ge reveal a thoughtful look, he thought that Chen Ge understood what he meant, so he sighed in relief and stopped hiding his feelings, “In Fan Yu’s situation, the probability of being adopted is not high, and as you can be said to be Fan Yu’s only family, I think that it might be more suitable for Fan Yu to stay with his relatives than in an environment like the orphanage.”
The room fell into silence, the dean and the female nurse were both very thin-skinned people, hinting to this point, they felt that it was enough.
After two or three minutes, Chen Ge finally came to a decision, “It’s not Fan Yu who’s wrong.”
The dean was slightly stunned, he thought he hadn’t expressed himself clearly, “I know it’s not Fan Yu’s fault, we’re all doing this for the sake of the child to be able to live a healthy life, so you shouldn’t be psychologically burdened either.”
”What did Fan Yu say to those children?” Chen Ge looked at the dean seriously, “Please make sure you tell me as is, those children are likely to be in danger.”
”Danger?” After staring at Chen Ge for three seconds, the dean opened his mouth, all the words he had prepared before were useless, and both sides were thinking completely differently. As he looked at Chen Ge, he suddenly felt that this disease of Fan Yu’s might have been inherited from his family.
”Yes, please tell me what Fan Yu has said, as well as the names and contact information of those children, their situation can be very dangerous.” Chen Ge’s tone was solemn, not like he was joking at all.
The dean forced a smile on his face, “Mr. Chen, I’ll be blunt, Fan Yu doesn’t have the slightest sense of belonging to our orphanage, he probably wants to live with his family more. He’s a very intelligent child, he just has some psychological problems, if you have the financial means to do so, we sincerely hope that you can take him away so that he can receive more formal and professional psychological treatment.”
”Not for now, it’s not safe at my place.” Chen Ge was telling the truth, at least until the Weird Tales Association was completely resolved, he absolutely could not receive Fan Yu into his house of horrors.
The dean had heard a lot of excuses for refusing adoption, but using the reason that it was not safe at home was the first time he had heard it, “Alright, but you usually have to come to see him more often and communicate with the child more often in order to be able to do so, and we’ll try our best to help him.”
”En.”
The female nurse led Chen Ge out of the dean’s house, this female nurse who was the same age as Chen Ge was a little embarrassed, her voice carried a few apologies, “We are not trying to drive Fan Yu away, that child is actually particularly obedient and understanding, he is just occasionally very strange.”
Chen Ge smiled faintly and didn’t argue, “I know what you want to say, but have you ever thought about what if what he says is the truth?”
The female nurse slowed her pace, she stole a glance at Chen Ge, and she didn’t know why, the words uttered by the man in front of her had an inexplicable persuasive power.
”Here it is, right here.”
The female nurse stopped next to the room where she had just met those two children and realized that the doors of both rooms were open, “Jiang He and Jiang Jin are running around again.”
She hurriedly entered one of the rooms, and just as she reached the living room, she heard the sound of glass breaking from the bedroom, followed by a girl crying out, constantly shouting the word -sister- as if her own sister was being bullied.
”Jiang Jin, Jiang He! You two stand by the wall!”
The female nurse reprimanded the two boys in the room, Chen Ge still stopped at the door, he looked at the names of the people written in colored pens on the door of the room, and amongst the large number of children with the Jiang surname, the name Fan Yu was particularly conspicuous.
”This kid really doesn’t let people worry about him.” Chen Ge walked into the bedroom, and at a glance, he saw Fan Yu sitting next to the desk, who was drawing with his head down, unconcerned about anything in the outside world.
Next to Fan Yu stood a little girl with a crying face, constantly wiping her eyes with her small hands, her tears couldn’t stop falling, her mouth constantly shouting sister, sister.
After the nurse reprimanded Jiang He and Jiang Jin, she held the girl and coaxed her, but the more she coaxed the girl, the more she cried, her moist eyes became red and swollen, and her round little finger pointed at Jiang He and Jiang Jin, “They killed my sister! Killed my sister!”
The girl was very cute, wearing clothes that were a bit thick, and was cradled in the nurse’s arms as if she was holding a cotton ball.
But this is such a cute child, but her mouth constantly shouted out such cruel words as “kill my sister”.
”Jiang Jin, Jiang He! What the hell have you two done!” The nurse was a little angry, she was heartbroken for the little girl.
”We just wanted to take a look at her glass, she had to not give it to us, so we accidentally broke it, and we don’t know who stomped on that spider inside.” The two children also felt aggrieved.
”Spider? Sister?” Chen Ge looked towards the center of the bedroom, the glass teacup was shattered, and in the center of the crumbs was a trampled spider.
The circumstances of the matter had been clarified, and the female nurse first let the two boys leave as she kept comforting the little girl.
But the little girl wouldn’t listen and cried more and more.
She broke away from the nursemaid’s embrace and picked up the already trampled spider on the ground, not minding it at all, and ran to Fan Yu with her hands cupped around it, her voice desperate and heartbreaking, “They killed my sister! Sister is dead!”
The little girl looked to be only about four or five years old, standing on her tiptoes just a little higher than the desk.
Fan Yu, who had been drawing with his head down, didn’t pay any attention to the girl, and only when the girl’s cries made him impatient did he put down his brush and put his hand on the top of the little girl’s head, “Sister it’s not dead, it’s just temporarily gone.”
Fan Yu used his free hand to pick up the painting on the table and placed it in front of the girl’s eyes, “Sister was right behind you just now.”
On the ordinary drawing paper, a tightly wrapped little girl was drawn with a black water brush, and behind the girl was a huge humanoid monster sketched out with red colored pencils!
It was lying behind the little girl, with its face pressed up to the top of the girl’s head, and its limbs half-bowed to the ground like a spider’s step-foot.
Seeing Fan Yu’s drawing, the girl slowly stopped crying.
Rubbing the girl’s head, Fan Yu glanced toward Chen Ge in the doorway, “Look, my sister ran behind that person.”
