A+ A- Turn Off Light

”Blaming me? If it wasn’t for you having to make me carry it, nothing would have happened to my hand.”

Li Xu complained about Wei and rubbed his hand hard on his clothes, but it didn’t help, the red spots not only didn’t fade, but also became worse.

”What’s the point of wasting words? Hurry up and come over, finish up and leave, why is this damn place so cold?” Wei walked in front, carrying the bucket and following the memorized route, he kept walking inside along the passageway.

Every few meters in the white-painted passageway, you could see the door of a morgue, with the number of the morgue marked on the door.

The two of them passed by the door of corpse vault number six and walked next to corpse vault number seven, and as Wei was about to continue walking inside, Li Xu suddenly tugged Wei a bit.

”What’s wrong with you again?” Brother Wei glared impatiently at Li Xu.

Posing in place, Li Xu shone his flashlight next to the seventh storage room with an odd expression, “When we came in before, there seemed to be a wall next to the seventh storage room, right?”

”Don’t have much of an impression, what’s wrong?” Wei’s voice came out from behind his mask, muffled.

”Look for yourself, how come there’s another storehouse next to this storehouse number seven? Is it newly constructed recently?” Li Xu didn’t dare to move forward, “The door has fallen so thick with ash, it must have been constructed before, but how come I don’t have any impression?”

”A shock, I think how big a deal?” Wei walked past the door of the seventh storehouse and stopped next to that extra storehouse.

The door of this storehouse was exactly the same as the previous ones, the difference being that the number on the door was very unclear and blurry, as if it had been dug out with a little bit of fingernail.

”Should we go in and take a look?” Wei thought carefully, when he came here before, there did seem to be no storehouse next to the seventh storehouse.

”If you want to go in you go in, I wouldn’t dare.” Li Xu shook his head, holding a flashlight behind him.

”Look at your point of interest, the corpses we face every day in the crematorium are not more than these students? See how scared you are?” Wei said this on his lips, but in his heart, he seemed to be a little scared as well, he directly skipped over this topic, accelerated his pace, and flew past the door of that warehouse.

”You wait for me!” Li Xu ran forward with a flashlight, and the result made something that no one expected appear.

Wei brother and Li Xu pulled the distance between them, when Li Xu was about to pass through the door of that warehouse, the iron door outside of this warehouse even opened by itself.

It was very sudden, like someone pushed it hard inside.

Li Xu was not very bold, the sudden opening of the iron door scared him and he directly shouted out.

Hearing Li Xu’s voice, Brother Wei stopped his steps and looked back, when he realized that the iron door opened, his face became a little pale.

”What the hell are you doing opening the door for nothing? If you have the time to be curious, why don’t you hurry up and come help!”

Brother Wei reprimanded Li Xu, who was also aggravated, “This door opened by itself, I didn’t even touch it.”

He glanced towards the house, and with just a glance, it was as if his body froze, even his vision was frozen in a certain direction.

”What’s wrong with you?” Brother Wei, after all, had partnered with Li Xu for many years, and knew his workmate’s character well, and didn’t seem like the kind of person who would do mischief.

He put down the bucket, walked over to Li Xu’s side, and looked inside the corpse vault.

In the glass container not far from the door of the room was a corpse immersed, and what made people feel scared was that the eyes of this corpse were open.

”Brother Wei, why do I feel like it’s looking at us?” Li Xu’s voice was small, he now felt cool air whooshing into his mouth when he opened his mouth.

”Go over and take a look.” Wei grabbed Li Xu’s arm and the two of them entered into the middle of this warehouse together.

This corpse warehouse seemed to be a showroom, with a sign posted on the wall that stated that every body donor was worthy of respect and that they should be treated with respect no matter what time it was.

The sign was taped to the wall, but Wei and Li Xu, whose entire attention was drawn to the corpse with open eyes, didn’t see the words on the sign.

The two moved around the room and stopped next to the eyes-open corpse.

”Liu Justice?” There was an introduction on the glass container, the eyes-open corpse was called Liu Justice, he graduated from the Jiujiang Forensic Medicine School and stayed on as a teacher after graduation.

The man had a strong sense of justice, and his biography said that on the first day he became a teacher, he made the decision that after he died, his body would be donated to the school.

There were once students in his classroom who commented on the looks of Mr. Big Body and made jokes about Mr. Big Body, when he severely reprimanded those students.

He was still young in the container, and the cause of his death was not mentioned in the introduction.

”It’s quite well preserved, just like the real thing.” Wei reached out and knocked on the glass container, and there was no reaction from the body inside.

”What are you doing? What if you really woke him up?” The red spots on Li Xu’s palms have already spread, but he himself hasn’t realized it yet, forcefully pulling Wei to one side: “Those security guards said that the underground corpse vault is haunted, their school’s own people aren’t willing to come in, let’s hurry out as well, we won’t accept any more jobs from this shitty school in the future.”

”Finish this order first.” Wei shrugged off Li Xu’s hand, he looked towards the side again, there were several other glass containers to the left and right of Liu Zhengyi, each of which contained a large body of teachers.

Among them were kindly looking old men, looking very peaceful, as if they were a professor at the School of Forensic Medicine. There was also a burly young man in his late teens with his eyes closed and a very sunny smile on his face, as if he was having a beautiful dream.

Vigo’s eyes swept over all the glass containers and paused for a moment when he saw the one behind the door.

That container was empty, and what made it even stranger was that the lid on the top of the container was open, as if someone had just climbed out.

The two men padded over to that glass container and shined a flashlight on it to find something even more amazing.

The top of the glass container emitted a strong odor of formalin, and more crucially there were two wet palm prints next to it.

Wei and Li Xu looked at each other with slightly panicked faces.

”The stuff in the jar ran out?”

”Stabilize first.” Wei was rough and fine as he looked around the glass container, “If the body in the container ran out, it’s impossible to leave only two handprints, but there are no similar handprints or footprints in this neighborhood.”

Li Xu swept around with the flashlight and found that it was indeed the same as what Wei said, “Then how could there be two handprints on this?”

”Not sure, let’s go out first.”

This is the second basement level, surrounded by darkness, that eerie feeling can’t be dispelled by the bright light of the flashlight.

Wei also beat a retreat, he turned around and walked out with Li Xu.

”I’ll go dump the stuff in the bucket, you wait here first.”

”Okay, you go and come back quickly.”

Wei and Li Xu walked to the door, both of them didn’t realize that there was a cabinet set up behind the glass container, and at this moment, there was a constant flow of formalin seeping out along the cracks at the bottom of the cabinet.
