Chapter 597 – The First Intruder
Three minutes after Lin Qiye left, a white-robed figure suddenly appeared out of thin air on top of the shallow beach.
It was a middle-aged man with a solemn face and a long crimson scar on his brow, his eyes calmly swept across the pitch-black shoal and eventually landed on top of the black magic formation that had been trampled around.
His left eye suddenly contracted, and an imperceptible white aperture rotated in his eyeballs, locking onto that black diagram mark on the ground.
”Ingredient parsing in progress ……”
”Ingredient analysis complete, contains charcoal, salt, sandstone, quartz …… No traces of divinity detected.”
”Weak psychic reaction detected, determined to be left behind by intruders who touched the wrath of the gods, Hazard Level Analysis in progress …… Too little information known, Hazard Level Analysis failed.”
A series of electronic tones echoed in the white-robed man’s ears, and his brows furrowed slightly.
He opened his mouth and muttered:
”Another intruder …… Within these two years, there have been several records of outsider invasions, and the landing locations are not far apart …… How on earth did they avoid Lord God’s surveillance, and where did they come in from? ”
He stared at the black pattern for a moment, lifting his head to the winding highway on the wall.
With a cold snort, he pointed his toes on the ground, and his entire body leapt up as if he didn’t have the slightest weight, landing lightly on top of the highway.
”Call up all the surveillance equipment on this road and line up all the suspicious people within two hours before and after the time of invoking the Divine Wrath.” He spoke calmly.
The white aperture in his left eye rotated once again.
”Retrieval in progress ……”
At this moment, all of the electronic monitoring devices on this road were connected to his left eye, and the images on each section of the road swept through his eyes like a rapidly playing movie, his left pupil fluttering rapidly as if he was searching for something.
After a few minutes, the images in his eyes suddenly froze.
A screenshot appeared in his mind, it was a young man wearing a black knitted trench coat, walking alone on the edge of the mountain ring road, due to the darkness of the sky, the surveillance could only capture his blurry side face.
His figure was captured by the surveillance on part of this road, from the entrance of the highway, all the way to the surveillance not far from this wall, and after staying around the wall for about twenty minutes or so, he returned the same way, heading towards the center of the city.
Timing-wise, it coincided perfectly with the time when the Wrath of God occurred.
”Found you ……,” the white-robed man’s eyes narrowed slightly.
With these photos, it would be possible to retrieve the traffic surveillance of the entire city of Yokohama and find out the intruder’s trail of movement.
”Send these photos to Number Four and have him make a trip to the Pure Land Ghost Prison to see if he can pry that guy’s mouth open.”
The white aperture of his left eye rotated slowly.
After saying that, he took a step and slowly walked towards the neon flashing city center.
Tokyo.
In the sky above the bustling and lively city, a huge disc shaped like a flying saucer was quietly hovering in the clouds, emitting a foggy blue light like a second blue moon hanging in the sky, filled with a futuristic technological aura.
This is the birthplace of all Japanese babies, the place where the gods created man as recorded in sacred legends, the origin of all of Japan, and a mysterious place that symbolizes life and the future.[Pure Land].
At this moment, at the edge of the Pure Land, a red-robed man was standing in front of a huge floor-to-ceiling window, looking down through the misty clouds at the city below his feet that looked like broken gold.
Suddenly, a red aperture flashed out of his left eye and spun up slowly.
”Another intruder?”
He frowned, and after hesitating for a moment, he turned around and walked towards the depths of the Pure Land.
He passed through portal after portal filled with technology, eventually arriving at the entrance of a huge prison that was pitch-black, and the red aperture in his left eye glowed slightly before an electronic voice rang out from all around him.
”Oracle Envoy No. 4, identity verification successful, please pass.”
The gate of the prison slowly opened, the red-robed man calmly walked into the cold and narrow passageway, the silver-white walls on both sides were full of metallic texture, it was unknown what kind of material they were composed of, and in the miserable white light, they were able to clearly reflect his silhouette.
After passing through dozens of deep cells, he came to the innermost end of this prison.
In front of the unnumbered prison door, the red-robed man stopped for a moment, seemingly pondering over something, and then moved his left eye to the device next to the door, and the red aperture rapidly rotated for one and a half revolutions before the incredibly thick and heavy prison door automatically opened.
He took a step into it.
There was no light source in the pitch-black cell, and only after the prison door was opened did a few strands of ghastly white light shine in from the outside, lengthening the red-robed man’s shadow onto the prison wall, slightly distorting it like a demon that existed in the shadows.
In the center of the cell, a figure was deathly imprisoned in mid-air, countless chains wrapped around his body, emitting a bizarre ghostly light.
The red-robed man looked at the figure and spoke faintly:
”The taste of the Bone Eroding Lock, how is it?”
That prisoner’s tightly closed eyes trembled slightly and opened a little, as if he could not yet adapt to the bright light of the outside world, he squinted his eyes and looked at the white-robed man in front of him, opened his dry, bleeding lips, and hoarsely opened his mouth:
”Roll.”
Hearing this word, the red-robed man did not have the slightest change in expression, and continued to calmly say, “You can support nearly two years under the pain of the Bone Eroding Lock, it is indeed out of my expectation …… I’m very curious about your body, exactly how did you grow?”
The prisoner’s eyes narrowed slightly as he said with a cold smile, “What kind of pain is this? The pain I endured before was several times harder to endure than this ……”
”What amazing willpower.” The red-robed man sighed with emotion, “However, soon you won’t need to endure these pains.”
The prisoner looked at him silently.
”You still have three months left, and within those three months, if you still fail to show your worth and submit to the Pure Land, at that time, I will personally read the oracle’s death judgment on you.”
The red-robed man gazed into his eyes and said slowly:
”You only have three months left, the first foreign invader from two years ago, the [Extremely Evil] class wanted criminal ……
Cao Yuan.”
Under the dim light, Cao Yuan, who had been pierced through by the Bone Eroding Lock and was hanging in midair, was calm.
”Right now, there is a way to live in front of you.” The red-robed man turned around, placing his face squarely against the black wall on the side, the red aperture in his left eye flowing like a miniature projector, projecting a picture on the wall.
”Two hours ago, traces of a suspected fifth alien intruder were found along the coast of Yokohama City, and we intercepted his picture ……
Tell me, do you recognize him?”
Cao Yuan turned his head slightly, and his pupils suddenly contracted as his gaze landed on the blurry photos!
