“You’re eloquent, I’m persuaded by you. Let me think about it.” Paul pressed his elbows into the table, his fingers crossed, his bright red nails standing out, and

“I remember, there was indeed a guest who had a confrontation with Alyssa.”

“When?”

“About a month now.”

“What was his name?”

“I don’t know.” Paul shrugged, “I’m a club, not a bank, I can’t keep track of every customer.”

“Describe his features.”

Paul recalled for a moment, “White male, mid-thirties, hair a little curly, medium, sounded like a local by his accent.”

Luke jotted it down in his book, “There are too many people with those characteristics, can you be more specific?”

“Do you have any idea how many customers the venue gets in a day? Too many for me to remember every one of them clearly. I’ve only met him once and don’t really know him well, that’s all I remember.”

“This man you speak of had some sort of run-in with Eliza?”

“He ordered a solo performance at the Backstage Lodge that day, and he moved his hands while Alyssa was performing, and the two had a confrontation. But luckily security stopped it in time and there were no major problems.”

“There was another time that guy was drunk and tried to order Alisa to perform solo, which was rejected by Alisa, and after that he cursed a lot of unpleasant words, which made Alisa angry and cried.

I wasn’t at the venue the second time or I wouldn’t have let him leave so easily.”

“Do you think he could have been the one who put the pictures up?”

“I’m not sure, but as far as I can remember he’s the only one who’s ever had a confrontation with Alyssa.”

“Do you have a picture of the guy?”

“No, I told you no pictures are allowed on the grounds.”

“There’s always surveillance, I want to see the surveillance from the day of the altercation.”

“It’s been almost a month since the altercation took place, I’m not sure if the surveillance is still available.”

Luke said, “Just take a look.”

Paul stood up, “OK, follow me.”

Paul then led the two men into a surveillance room of about ten square meters, filled with the smell of tobacco, beer bottles, and takeout boxes.

David frowned, “This place is messier than a pigsty, get someone to clean it up.”

“YES, Sir,” Paul responded somewhat reluctantly, calling for the club’s cleaner to clean up.

Taking advantage of this, Luke asked, “Paul, think back to the exact time of the confrontation, and also, which CCTV could have captured the location of the confrontation.”

Paul grumbled, “Uh huh, you guys are demanding.”

David glanced at him obliquely, having long since looked at the shifty guy, “Yea, so you’d better cooperate with us, and we’ll be able to leave early, so we don’t keep you open for the night.”

“Is that a threat?”

“Friendly advice.”

“It doesn’t seem friendly to me at all.”

David bristled, “Not if you know me.”

Luke laughed, “Here’s a hint, the guy’s a total asshole, ignore him.”

People are afraid of comparisons, Paul was originally not a fan of Luke either, but when compared to David, Luke was immediately much smoother.

Paul stood with his hands clasped to his chest for a while, deliberately skimming his head without looking at David, and said to Luke, “I carefully recalled, the time when that person and Alisa had a conflict was most likely in the middle of February, it might have been the 13th of February, or it might have been the 14th or the 15th, I can’t remember the exact day.”

“What about the hours?”

“We’re open from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Eliza usually dances the first half of the night and gets off by twelve. The time of their confrontation would have been between nine and eleven p.m.”

“Thanks, you saved us a lot of time.” Luke pulled up a chair and sat down, and began to review the surveillance from mid-February.

The February 13th video was not unusual.

The February 14th video, at 9:13 p.m., Luke saw Alyssa on the video, she went into the backstage hut, and a white curly-haired man followed her, except the man’s back was to the surveillance, and it was impossible to get a good look at his face.

After about a couple minutes, Alyssa ran out of the hut, her right hand covering her chest and her left hand pointing at the hut as if she was screaming at the top of her lungs.

Immediately afterward, the curly-haired man also came out, holding a bottle of beer in his left hand and pointing his right hand at Alyssa, saying something under his breath.

And then the security guards who arrived separated the two.

Luke stared at the curly-haired man, the angle could see the other’s appearance.

He felt something familiar about the man, and zooming in partially on the video, he recognized the man.

“David, guess who I found?”

David smiled, “It can’t be that asshole Marcus, can it? I’m not surprised he’s here.”

“It’s Harry the Drag Racer, the temporary informant you just developed.”

David leaned over to check, “It’s really this guy.” David pointed his finger at the video and asked Paul, who had stepped aside, “He’s the one who had the run-in with Alyssa?”

Paul glanced sideways at David and somewhat reluctantly came over and looked at the man on the screen, “It’s him.”

David frowned, “Could this guy have something to do with Alyssa’s disappearance?”

Luke analyzed it smoothly, “I remember our first meeting with Harry, he knew Tony.

Hypothetically, Tony only purchased the modified Taser, but was not a suspect in the Taser robbery.

Could it be that Harry used that gun to commit the crime, or perhaps Tony’s purchase of the gun itself was directed by Harry.”

David suddenly felt a bit ridiculous, if Luke’s assumption was correct, then Harry was probably the real suspect of the Taser robbery, and he himself asked him to find Tony, it would be a hell if he could find him, maybe Tony had already been silenced.

Luke said, “Either way, this guy is involved in the case, let’s ask him out first and get him under control.”

David nodded and took out his cell phone, ready to make a call.

Luke reminded, “Have you figured out what to say when you get through? Don’t let the kid get alerted.”

“Don’t say anything yet, just ask him to meet you.”

Luke shook his head, “If I were him, I’d definitely run.”

“So what do you say?”

“To ask him out, there has to be a plausible reason to make him feel like he’s not yet suspected by the police ……,” Luke continued, after a moment of contemplation.

“Get him to help look into Logan Salwood. If he doesn’t want to, he can be paid.”

David blushed a little, “You’re the asshole.”

Luke explained, “If Harry had something to do with the Taser robbery, he must have figured out Logan the last time you asked him to look up Lindsay’s address …… That’s a good reason, he shouldn’t be suspicious.”

David was upset, but he also had to admit that it was a really good reason, at least it wouldn’t make Harry suspicious.

It was more than normal for a cop to clean up a man who was fooling around with his wife.

“Asshole.”

David muttered again, before reluctantly dialing Harry’s cell phone, and

“Hi, this is Harry, I’m busy right now, leave a message ……”

“The asshole turned off his phone!”
