A+ A- Turn Off Light

Iron Man Who Believes in Light

Huayu neighborhood.

It was already nighttime, but the police came to the door and the person being questioned was very cooperative.

When the real questioning took place, the police stayed outside, and Sheng An and Hao Jingye were inside the room with the person being questioned.

The researcher who posted the post was called Song Linwei, and at this time, his face was agitated.

He couldn’t wait to speak even before Sheng An started his questioning:

“Is it already certain that the end will come? The police don’t believe me, but you guys should be on a higher level, right?”

Sheng An’s expression didn’t move and he didn’t answer, instead, as if he was rambling, he casually asked:

“Do you trust that so-called Iron Man that much?”

Song Linwei laughed: “Isn’t it because of the anomaly that you guys have been looking for me to confirm over and over again? If everything was calm, that post wouldn’t even have attracted your attention, right?”

A doomsday preview post attracted attention, and the police didn’t believe him at all, but they interrogated him time and time again.

Tonight, he even brought someone with obviously higher authority to continue the questioning, with the police on the outside and the three of them on the inside.

Can this not be a problem?

Sheng An looked up at him.

The man was smart and clear-headed, and judging from everything he was reacting to – he was in complete control of his consciousness.

Which meant that he wasn’t crazy, much less bullshitting.

Sheng An placed the transcript in her hand on the table and suddenly asked, “What kind of research do you do?”

Song Linwei obviously didn’t expect her to ask this.

After a pause, he answered honestly, “Physics related.”

Sheng An nodded and added, “Then you should be someone who believes in science, I’m curious, how exactly did that Iron Man make you believe in him?”

She leans forward and stares at him intently.

Sungarinwe: “His very existence is unscientific enough.”

He pointed to his eyes, “And I saw it with my own eyes.”

Sheng An was noncommittal as she slowly sat back down and leaned against the sofa, a smile on her lips.

“Well, then Mr. Song can tell me – what was the ‘Iron Man’ you saw like?”

The corners of Song Linwei’s mouth fell.

He frowned, “I’ve already spoken to the police.”

“I want to hear it from you once in person.” Sheng An’s smile remained unchanged.

Song Linwei shrugged and sighed:

“Alright, then I’ll say it again, yesterday morning, before I left for work, I suddenly noticed a flash of something outside my window, I’m a sensitive person, so I went to take a look.

“I saw Iron Man, a man covered in gold, no, I should say humanoid, and he was picking his way out of the window, and I happened to be face to face with him.”

“Couldn’t see the mold clearly?” Hao Jingye pursued.

Song Linwei shook his head, “Instead of a golden colored person, I should say it’s a humanoid metal, that look you guys would see the abnormality just by seeing one side, it’s very special.”

Sheng An: “What did you guys say?”

Song Linwei: “I had a shock at that time, backed up several steps, and my instinctive reaction was to plunge a broom to hit him, but he suddenly opened his mouth and said that he was Iron Man ……”

Sheng An’s eyebrows jumped.

Hao Jingye also frowned.

“He does look like Iron Man, real steel. I said I was going to call the police, and he said the end is coming, so what’s the point of calling the police? Have that free time and stock up.” Song Linwei sighed.

“So you’re convinced the end is coming?”

“With such unusual things coming up, plus the meteorite issue, is there a problem with suspecting the end times?”

“There’s no problem, you’re very smart.” Sheng An shook his head, “Being able to tell that Iron Man’s gender is a man, what about age?”

Song Linwei shook his head, “Age can’t be seen.”

He sighed again and looked at Sheng An, “I’ve already said what I know, that Iron Man is real, you guys will all be shocked if you see it.”

“But we didn’t see it.” Sheng An laughed softly, his eyes were bottomless, “You really don’t have anything else to say?”

Song Linwei shook his head, “No.”

As if he thought of something, his body leaned forward with a distressed look on his face, “Iron Man seems to be very confident that you guys can’t catch him, can you?”

“Do you want us to catch it?” Sheng’an asked rhetorically, not answering.

“Of course I want to, and I want to know more, is Doomsday …… coming or not?”

He looked toward them, pursed his lips, and asked softly, “So, can you tell me if there really is a doomsday?”

He asked carefully and very apprehensively.

Hao Jingye was about to shake his head.

Sheng An suddenly said, “Yes, 20 days later, a meteorite descends, the end comes, and the world suffers a devastating disaster.”

Song Linwei’s pupils quaked.

Hao Jingye was also surprised, obviously not expecting why Sheng An would say it.

Song Linwei lost his composure for a split second, his face flashed with is shock, doubt, and a knowing despair.

His entire body hung down, his voice hoarse: “Sure enough.”

Sheng An: “Now that you know, what are the next arrangements?”

Song Linwei shook his head, his eyes blank, “I don’t know, the end has come, what other arrangements can there be?”

He took a deep breath and licked his dry lips, “Don’t worry guys, I’ll keep it a secret.”

He could no longer ask anything here.

Sheng An stood up, “Then we’ll leave first, Mr. Song, if there’s any more news, please remember to contact us.”

Song Linwei nodded and sent them away.

Hao Jingye was full of doubts.

Just after going out, he immediately lowered his voice and asked, “Sister Sheng, why did you tell him?”

The Doomsday news was still under embargo, so logically, it shouldn’t be revealed casually.

With the police nearby, Sheng An shook her head and didn’t answer.

The two were led to another household.

Sheng An raised an eyebrow, “Are they two neighboring buildings?”

Hao Jingye nodded and lowered his voice, “Yes, it’s two neighboring buildings, that’s why the information about Iron Man being out there has a bit of truth to it.”

This household was a child, and Sheng An asked few questions.

“Kid, what was the Iron Man you saw like?” Sheng An asked softly.

The child thought about it and skimmed his lips, “It’s nothing like inside the TV, he’s annoying!”

“Oh, where is he annoying?”

“He robbed me of my Ultraman!” The kid was about to cry.

“He’s too much!”

Sheng An squatted down and took out a delicate Ultraman from the bag in her hand, smiling, “Then auntie will give you this Ultraman, okay?”

The child’s eyes lit up and immediately got it in his hand.

He looked at Sheng An, his eyes shining brightly, “Thank you sister.”

Sheng An stroked his head, her smile growing gentler:

“So cute, can you tell me what he really looks like? Also, what did he say to you? You tell me all of it, we’ll help you find him out and take the Ultraman back for you.”

At these words, the child’s eyes brightened even more, holding onto Ultraman tightly and nodding heavily.

The child was very serious in his recollection.

But no child’s logic is strong, one sentence from the east and one sentence from the west, Sheng An and Hao Jingye summarized from the fragmented information-

Yesterday, the child was locked in the house and suddenly heard a movement from the window outside.

The kid couldn’t open the window, but pulled open the curtains.

He saw a shiny Iron Man.

He asked, “Who are you?”

–He was also bold and not scared at all.

The “Iron Man” heard a noise outside and opened the window.

He jumped in, and the child cried out in fear.

“The Iron Man ignored him and said, “Stop crying, you’re annoying me.”

At that moment, he saw the Ultraman figure on the wall.

“Iron Man asked the kid, “Do you believe in light?”

The kid was already scared and just wailed.

The man skimmed his lips, didn’t know what to say, and walked away with the child’s Ultraman in his arms.

Hao Jingye once again pressed, “Kid, do you really not know what he said?”

The child shook his head.

He was too busy crying at that moment to remember.

Hao Jingye sighed.

Sheng An touched the child’s head and looked at the handprint before leaving with Hao Jingye.

Out of the neighborhood door.

The two said goodbye to the police and got into their car.

Hao Jingye: “A lot of their information overlaps, and these two people don’t know each other and don’t have any contact, the child’s words are a little different, but the key information is the same, it’s true, it seems that the ‘Iron Man’…… might be true.”

“It would have been true, the gold system alien.”

Sheng An started the car and looked indifferent: “Continue investigating Song Linwei, check his living environment, his family situation, as well as his family members, relatives, and so on, as well as the people he has come into contact with in the last three days, and organize them all for me.”

Hao Jingye was surprised, “You suspect him?”

He instantly sat up straight and said anxiously, “Is there anything wrong with Song Linwei? But no matter how many times he asks, he always gives the same answer and doesn’t look like he’s lying.”

When Sheng An told Song Linwei about the “end of days”, it already surprised Hao Jingye.

At this time, he heard her words and noticed her different reaction.

Sheng An smiled, “It’s true that he didn’t lie, but he definitely chose to hide something.”

“Could it be that he’s that Gold System Alien?!” Hao Jingye boldly guessed.
