Part 2 The Faceless Man Chapter 167 The Curtain Call
Karpin lay on the ground, itching and aching, wanting to tear himself apart on the spot to rid himself of this hellish pain.
Then he saw the wave of crimson fire that spread instantly and heard the deafening explosion.
He thought that this last moment would become long, and would make him recall all the beautiful scenes when his wife and children were by his side, and he thought that he himself would feel relieved because he didn’t have to bear this inhuman torture any more, but in that moment, a great fear still surged up in his heart, and a strong desire to survive surged up, and the so-called memories, before they could even flash by, his thoughts were already filled up by the severe pain, and he spiraled down into deep darkness.
Rumble!
The window of the dining room cracked and crumbled at once, accompanied by an uncountable amount of bricks and rubble and a tongue of fire that apparently rolled outward.
The guards who happened to be patrolling this position were immediately smashed and knocked over, and those who were lucky enough not to be hit were left with their ears ringing and their bodies shaking, either crooked or falling.
They saw the outer wall of the restaurant collapse most of the way, and saw flames seemingly floating in mid-air.
The people of the entire street and the police officers in charge of the surrounding area heard the loud noise at the same time, and were momentarily puzzled and scared.
Inside the restaurant, Klein, who was covered in black armor and wearing a pitch-black crown, stood there, bathing in crimson flames and enjoying the powerful shock waves that blew unperturbed.
Much of the black aura that had permeated around him had been burned and melted, and the aura itself had taken some damage, but nothing serious.
Next to the overturned table, Parker and Capin were knocked into the corner, their heads dented and cracked, and the whole thing became charred black.
There were still quietly burning flames floating on their surfaces, and the rest of the male and female servants were similar.
In the area opposite the fireplace, Katie, who had failed to duck in time, was thrown heavily against the wall and then slid down to the ground, her body a bloody mess interspersed with so many burn marks that there wasn’t a single piece of intact skin.
She wasn’t dead yet, but she was unconscious from her injuries, but even so, she was still coughing convulsively, inhaling a great deal of the suspended flames.
The black whip had suffered similarly, with many cracks and a small amount of ignition, and none of the extraordinary bullets she possessed had been spared in the explosion.
Katie no longer had the slightest power to fight.
Heras, for his part, made a roll just in time to protect the vitals, but there was still a good deal of blood and scorching on his body.
He staggered to his feet, crimson flames burning at his back, hair set and legs.
His breathing was becoming more and more difficult, and his body had suffered more severe trauma.
But it was enough to prove the sturdiness of his flesh and the strength of his physique, or rather, the flesh was strong enough and the physique was strong enough with that iron-black glove on!
However, this was within Klein’s expectations.
Unable to assess how much damage his opponent could withstand, he would fully overestimate his target’s physique when formulating his plan.
Catching sight of Klein’s near intactness out of the corner of his eye, Heras’ pupils shrunk, panicked, extended his left palm, pointed in that direction, and spoke in a low voice:
”Exile!”
Klein was pushed away again, like confetti in a hurricane, fluttering and being thrown out of the restaurant, while the hall outside after the instantaneous combustion just now, the fire has become much smaller, and another wave of disaster is being brewed by the wooden staircase, etc., but because the main body of the explosion was “confined” in the dining room, this place is not seriously damaged.
Seizing this opportunity, Herras turned sharply and ran towards the outside without looking back.
Even though the flames covering his body were still burning, he didn’t waste any time to deal with them.
He knew that his condition was extremely poor, in danger of losing control, and the effects of the toxin wouldn’t take long to reach its peak, and with the combination of the two, he didn’t think that there was still a possibility for him to defeat that intruder, even if the entrance to the underground area, and the Bit Sequence 7 Beris could help, it would be the same!
If he continued to fight like this, Herras believed that he would only be waiting for the two endings of being poisoned or seriously injured out of control!
Once he decided to run away, he didn’t bother about Katie who was still alive.
Klein, who had just stabilized himself under the “exile”, saw this scene, and immediately raised his head slightly, opened his mouth, and let out a shrill whistle that could not be heard by humans!
Buzz!
Heras head was dizzy, his footsteps then stumbled for a moment, the surface of the skin is still intact at the surface of the dense transparent blisters, this is the pre-signs of loss of control.
But he quickly slowed down, and continued to run wildly, escaping from the lawn belonging to the villa.
It s really hard to kill ah …… Klein to avoid accidents, did not do the chase.
He remembered that his purpose was to save people, not to clean up these Fallen Extraordinary People.
More crucially, he was now consuming quite a lot and had suffered a considerable amount of injuries, so if he chased after them, he might not be able to hold back Herras’s crazy counterattack.
Snap!
Klein snapped his fingers and shot out an air bullet.
The bullet went into Katie’s head, ending all her pain.
Immediately after that, Klein turned around and flew towards the entrance of the underground area.
Beris, who had a beard, had been keeping an eye on the movements outside, but didn’t dare to go AWOL for fear that the intruder’s accomplices would take advantage of the opportunity to break into the dungeon.
At this moment, he, who was carrying a high-pressure steam rifle and had turned on his psychic vision, was startled by the loud noise and became unusually tense.
Immediately, he saw the flying majestic apparition, and without hesitation, he raised his rifle and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
White mist erupted from the barrel of the rifle, and a sharp, pale gold bullet shot forward at an astonishing speed.
Klein was prepared, had an intuitive premonition, and circled out in a modest arc before Belis fired.
The bullet went through the hall, shot through the front door, and flew outside.
And at the same time, Beris rushed out of the watch room, taking a threatening stance with his high-pressure steam rifle as he moved quickly toward the front door.
He was sure that the intruder who could take out the combined forces of Heras, Katie, and Parker could surely take out himself with ease as well, and, since that much commotion just now was bound to draw attention, and there might be a vicarious punisher coming over to check it out, the only option was:
Run!
Klein let out another invisible shrill whistle, causing the other party to feel as if he had been hit by a hammer, countless golden stars flying in front of his eyes, and a few drops of blood flowing from the end of his nose.
But that didn’t stop Belis from escaping, and after shooting to block Klein, he was already running into the hall, rolling and rolling to get closer to the door.
Klein gave up chasing and fighting after a moment’s deliberation, turned off the main valve, came to the entrance to the underground area, and snapped his fingers in quick succession.
Bang bang bang!
One by one, air bullets were fired on the invisible wall, gradually disintegrating the “confinement”.
This is also one of the reasons why Klein dared to make gas explosions and use biotoxin vials, with Herras’ “confinement” effect on the underground prison, as long as it is not a frontal impact, he does not have to worry about accidentally injuring those poor girls.
He broke the lock of the door and flew into the dungeon, firstly, according to the revelation given by the divination picture, he found the cell where Daisy was kept, and then confirmed that the other party had not suffered too much damage for the time being, and still had the ability to move.
Then, he vaporized his body and dissolved into the iron door.
Clang! Clunk! Clang!
The iron doors on one side opened one after the other with great speed, as if invisible ghosts were running to unlock them.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
One side ended, and it was the turn of the other.
Daisy and the other young girls were first startled by the explosions outside, and then, after a while, were dismayed to find that the cell door was inexplicably open, but that no one had come in, and that they themselves seemed to be ready to leave at any moment.
Boldly, some of the girls, who hadn’t been tied up for long and hadn’t received much conditioning yet, got up and went out, running tentatively all the way to the exit of the underground area.
They made their way through the halls, which had been slightly damaged by the explosions, and left the villa, which was gradually burning more and more, running more and more briskly in the direction of freedom.
It was only when they reached the street that Daisy and the other girls remembered to look back.
In the midst of looking back, they vaguely saw a majestic figure wearing all black armor and a black crown standing straight on top of the sinful house.
Hula!
The cloak behind that figure fluttered noiselessly.
The girls memorized the scene and looked up the nearby church with less trust in the police.
Klein returned to the fire-strewn, smoke-filled dining room to find that Parker and Katie’s extraordinary traits had just shown signs of precipitation.
He checked the items the two were carrying and confirmed that the vast majority of them were damaged, even the bills were charred and brittle.
Klein leapt upward to the second and third floors, making a quick tour to try to find the appropriate clues.
–He didn’t try the psychic, because it was a little too late, and bringing it up above the gray mist didn’t suit his needs for the next “curtain call”.
Even a small leader was asked to “keep secrets”, these important people must have corresponding “restrictions”, not just to be able to psychic, and the previous operation was too cumbersome and troublesome, not suitable for now… …Klein finished off his exploration with little to show for it, but took a deck of tarot cards with him.
Upon returning to the tattered and charred dining room, he removed all of the main cards from the tarot deck, and then walked over to Capin’s body.
He then specifically pulled two of them away and sprinkled the remaining ones onto Capin’s body with a clatter.
After doing this, he took the two tarot cards that he had specifically pulled out and covered them face up to Capin’s eyes.
By this time, the extraordinary characteristics of Parker and Katie had parsed out.
……
A few tens of seconds later, an illusory gate suddenly ripped out of the midair outside the villa, covered in complex symbols.
The gate opened silently, and out walked a handsome man in a straightened tuxedo, he was in his forties, mature and elegant.
He had golden eyes that locked onto the fire-scene-like restaurant with a mere sweep.
Just then, a gust of wind blew by and a silhouette flew in at high speed.
It was an old man with a black fedora and unusually serious silver eyes, wearing black robes embroidered with storm symbols, and it was none other than the Cardinal of the Storm Church, the Archbishop of the Diocese of Berkland, the “God’s Songbird”, Ace Snake.
”What brings you here?” Ace asked in a deep voice.
The extraordinary events in the Chorwood District were under the administration of the Holy Wind Cathedral, so he was in a position to ask this.
The handsome man didn’t look too good as he replied:
”I live in the neighborhood.”
It was close to the West End.
Without saying any more, the two men simultaneously descended to the ground and entered the scene of the explosion, and a fierce hurricane followed, going so far as to directly roll away those flames and send them to the artificial fountain outside.
This wind seemed to possess its own life and intelligence.
The two half-human, half-god powerhouses then saw Katie, who had been shot in the head and whose flesh was charred, Parker, who was tangled up with someone and whose head was dented and cracked, and Capin, whose body was sprinkled with tarot cards, and the two master cards covering the face of this human trafficker.
They were the “Judgment” card, with the angel blowing a trumpet, and the “Emperor” card, wearing armor and a crown!
Almost simultaneously, Cardinal Snake and the handsome man sensed something and jerked their heads outward.
They found a majestic figure covered in black armor and wearing a black crown on the top of the house on the side of the villa.
The figure gently nodded his head, and his cloak rose with it.
Then, he disappeared without warning, right under the eyes of the two High Sequence powerhouses.
