Touching the “Ninth Law” charm in his coat pocket, Klein adjusted his height and appearance details to resemble Admiral Emilius Levitt.

He left through another door in the utility room and walked down a quiet corridor towards the main building of the Governor’s residence.

Along the way, occasional attendants and maids passed by, but none of them dared to look directly at Klein, and at the first sight of the admiral’s uniform, they retreated to the sides and bowed their heads.

Any person of about the same height wearing this outfit, it is estimated that they can directly mix into the banquet hall …… It has to be said that there are times when it is easier to play the role of a big man than to play the role of an ordinary person …… Klein did not look askance, maintained that serious posture, and did not quickly or slowly walked toward the aisle paved with black stone tiles.

A melodious and beautiful melody came if nothing else, and elegant wall sconces on either side burned gas and lit up the darkness.

Klein had just approached a lounge when he saw the door open and a man, also middle-aged, stepping out as if he had been waiting.

The man had dark hair and blue eyes, and his facial features resembled those of Emilius five or six times, except that his forehead was high, the bags under his eyes were slightly swollen, and the corners of his mouth had not yet drooped.

He was none other than Emilius Levitt’s youngest brother, Auston Levitt.

This gentleman once also served in the navy, relying on the merits of the southern mainland colonies, rose all the way to the rank of colonel, and then disgusted with the military career, coupled with the balance of politics, turned to accept the appointment, as the governor.

During his five or six years in Oravi, out of his regard for the island’s location and resources, he pushed the Levitt family to acquire a large number of fields and estates locally, and he himself owned a large number of lands along the way.

This is not to say that it was acquired entirely by power, Austen and the Levitt family paid enough money, even through the bank loan, did not like in the east coast of Byron at a very cheap price to seize the original belongs to the Forsak land.

Of course, if he wasn’t Governor Olavi and his brother wasn’t Supreme Commander of the Navy in the Central Sunyan Sea, the Levitts wouldn’t have been able to convince their targets to sell their prime fields or estates so easily.

The test came …… Klein calmly leaned over and stopped in front of Auston Leavitt.

Auston glanced around and spoke in a low voice:

  ”How is that matter considered?”

What is the matter …… Klein first blankly, then remembered a paragraph in the information introduction – “If Auston requests a confidential conversation, or directly asks for an answer to something, tell him to give him an answer when he leaves Oravi .”

Sure enough, it’s what Emilius expected, I just need to pay attention to the attitude and tone of voice, well, there is also the unique wording and pronunciation of the Ruin nobles …… Klein nodded his head gently and said seriously:

  ”Wait a few more days.

”I’ll tell you the answer when I leave Olavi.”

Austen did not rise to suspicion and smiled lowly:

”You seem to be waiting for something to give you the power to decide.”

The thing that made it necessary for Admiral Emilius to act alone? Klein’s heart fluttered, and he said familiarly, in the tone of a man of high rank:

  ”Put away your speculations.”

Having said that, he turned from his stillness and took a step toward the banquet hall.

Austen Leavitt watched his brother’s back, his expression gradually turned cold, and shook his head with a small amplitude.

Entering the banquet hall, Klein looked around and made his way to the long tables where the food was laid out, stopping every now and then to exchange pleasantries with those who approached.

In the process, he found that he didn’t even need to get into the topics brought up by the climbers, and just by giving the occasional nod, he was able to keep the conversation going in a harmonious and pleasant atmosphere until the end.

It was true that the status of the big man made some aspects of the role easier, but accordingly, other things will be difficult …… Klein broke through a lot of “obstacles”, and finally reached the long table.

He picked up a plate at random, mentally telling himself that Admiral Emilius liked fish, beef and lobster, and hated chicken and goose, so he avoided the roasted rooster and Bécquernaise goose, and went for steak, pan-seared lobster, and a large lobster with cream cheese and h’Olavi.

Because the metal vessels were either lined with asbestos underneath, holding red-hot coals, or had containers filled with hot water, the food remained warm enough that Crane was nearly moved to the point of collapsing his persona when he took his first bite.

He struggled to maintain the image of Admiral Aemilius, carrying his plate and talking to port city councilors, naval agents, and other people of all shapes and sizes, listening very attentively to what they had to say and occasionally shoveling a bit of food into his mouth.

He had noticed that a young man in a tuxedo formal dress always followed not far from him.

The other man had neatly combed back blonde hair with a slightly higher hairline, light blue eyes, and a clean-cut, well-mannered appearance.

Consistent with the photo, Emilius s secretary Lulian …… Klein controlled himself, did not bother to measure the other party, and grabbed the banquet before the end of the banquet to fill his stomach completely.

Exiting the governor’s mansion, Klein got into the carriage protected by the general’s guard and sat to the side of the wine cooler.

The blonde secretary, Lurian, followed him inside, his leather boots on the thick, soft carpet, and moved noiselessly to the opposite side of Klein.

He sat down, but only a third of an ass was next to the seat.

The carriage began to move, and Lurien removed a stack of papers from the black briefcase he carried:

”Your Excellency, Admiral, these are the summarized accounts for the year 1349 submitted by the Oravi Naval Base.”

Klein reached out and took it, casually flipping through the pages and skimming through them.

What? A roll of toilet paper costs a pound? The bathhouse at the naval base was refurbished twenty times in one year? Klein did just a cursory calculation and realized all sorts of absurdities.

Wasn’t this bookkeeping too simple and crude? I can even open the door for them to open the door course, specifically teaching how to reimburse …… Klein seriously thought about what kind of attitude he should show.

–In his opinion, the biggest difficulty in disguising Emilius lay in concealing it from Lurhan.

It wasn’t that Governor Auston and Miss Cynthia weren’t as familiar with Admiral Emilius as Mr. Secretary, but rather that Auston, as his younger brother, might help his elder brother conceal it even if he found out something was wrong and got a hint, and similarly, as a mistress, Cynthia attached herself to the Admiral, and had a tendency to help cover it up.

Of course, the possibility of Cynthia being a spy, or being utilized by a spy, could not be ruled out, but none of it was as dangerous as Luelan, who was an overseer himself.

Cannot expose the slightest problem …… What would be the attitude of Admiral Emilius in the face of such a report, bursting into a rage, or pretending to burst into a rage? No, the people of Oravi Naval Base would not be so bold as to directly submit such a report with obvious problems, treating Admiral Aemilius as blind, they are bound to have a certain certain grasp and tacit understanding …… Because there is no similar situation on the information, Klein can only make a judgment based on his own experience.

And he could confirm one thing, which was that the report from the Oravi Naval Base either belonged to a situation that Admiral Emilius hadn’t expected, or was considered by him to be not a priority, a mere agenda that could be casually dealt with.

Either possibility could be dealt with by one of the usual gestures of a superior, which was not to take a stand …… Klein closed the file and handed it back to the blonde secretary, Lurian, saying without much expression:

  ”Put it on my desk.”

The subtext of this sentence is “I’ll take a closer look”, which will be interpreted differently depending on the position of the reader:

If it was a surprise attack on the Oravi Naval Base, it meant that His Excellency the Admiral was a little disgruntled and was waiting for an explanation.

If this was something that both sides had a tacit agreement on, then it meant that Admiral Emilius wanted to get a bigger profit, as to whether he would be offended by it or not, Klein didn’t care about it at all, he wouldn’t be Emilius Levitt in a few days anyway, and he was sure that that true demigod had ways to suppress the anger of his men.

Besides, he was extraordinarily thankful that Emilius wasn’t a demigod of the Church of Storms, or else at this point he would have had to consider whether to just nod his head and pass the report, or grumpily throw the papers back and throw a few men into the sea to feed the fish in the meantime.

”Yes, His Excellency the Admiral.” The blonde secretary Lure’s expression was unchanged, and he stuffed the document back into the black briefcase as if he had expected it.

For the rest of the way, Klein leaned back against the compartment wall according to Emilius Levitt’s habit and half closed his eyes as if he was thinking about a problem, however, he thought of nothing.

Lurien remained silent, never rushing to speak.

A man-high, iron-black, gas street-lamp flew back and swept, and the carriage drove near the naval base and turned into a house with a garden and lawn.

No sooner had Klein gone up the steps than a butler opened the door, and a servant stood respectfully on either side.

The living room of the house was elegantly decorated, with landscape paintings, plaster statues, plain vases and other things, and a light but long-lasting scent that lingered and permeated the heart and lungs.

Klein, who should have been relaxing as a result, was secretly tense when he saw a beautiful young lady in a housecoat dress welcome him.

She is probably in her early twenties, blonde hair moisturized under the drape, blue eyes look at the time, seems to have a light hidden, full of feminine softness at the same time, but also residual a few points of the sense of girlhood, it is the mistress of Admiral Emilius Cynthia.

Klein restrained his inner discomfort, let the serious face of “Emilius” smile, and then opened his arms.

Cynthia threw herself into his arms, stood on tiptoe, and whispered with a cheek-to-cheek laugh:

”General, hot water has been boiled for you and put in the tub.”

This is always have sent someone to pay attention to when the dinner party is over ah …… Being a mistress is not an easy thing …… Emilius does like to soak in a hot bath, relaxing cum thinking …… In order not to pay attention to the two close to the cheek Klein allowed himself to ramble.

As a sexually normal man, he should have been slightly enjoying this proximity to the beautiful opposite sex while being embarrassed, but the temporary contract gave him no extra urge at all, and so he was left with nothing but discomfort.

”Very nice.” Klein complimented, gently pushing Cynthia away with a sense of his hands going nowhere.

Knowing that His Excellency the Admiral did not like to make out in front of the servants, Cynthia obediently stepped back and guided Klein up to the second floor, into the washroom, and prepared a bathrobe.

After doing so, Cynthia instructed the servants not to come to the second floor until they heard the bells, and then returned to the bedroom, removing all of her clothing and replacing it with a pure silk robe.

The neckline of the robe was wide open, revealing a piece of tantalizing snow-white, and between the grooves dangled a strange necklace pendant, which looked like a black rhinoceros horn shrunk down to just a knuckle’s length.

Cynthia removed the necklace, tucked it under her pillow, and then, a little blushing and a little hesitant, left the bedroom, walked outside the lavatory where the Admiral was soaking, and plucked up the courage to twist the handle.

With a click, she paused in her palm to realize that the lavatory door had somehow been unlocked.

With a bewildered look, Cynthia instinctively twisted it twice more.

Click, click, the lavatory door didn’t budge.
