A+ A- Turn Off Light

The legend of the treasure that had inspired generations of adventurers to take to the sea was told, and the cook had roasted the flesh from the belly of the fisherman.

They were translucent with a ripe white color, tinged with a slight char, covered with tiny brown particles, and glistening with moist oil.

Repeated applications of seasoning had penetrated the texture of the meat, presenting a tantalizing visual effect.

”Dixie grilled fish, not quite like what you often have.” Aeran said, pointing to the white porcelain plate the chef had set down.

Donna pressed her hand to her knife and fork and leapt to her feet:

  ”Honey-baked fish is my favorite!

”But this one is tempting too.”

Honey roasted fish …… How much honey must that use …… I have a chance to try it, the flavor should be good …… Klein floated to the idea at once.

With the chef, they didn’t have to do the work themselves, watching with anticipation as a piece of fish was cut off, placed on a different plate, and pushed in front of them.

Kraven was very serious in his approach to enjoying his food, and instead of rushing to tackle the fish, he picked up his cup first and took a sip of black tea, clearing his mouth of any lingering flavors with the slightly acidic liquid.

That done, he speared a slice of fish and stuffed it into his mouth.

Instantly, he felt the slightly tangy flavors of cumin, basil, and other spices as they fully opened up one taste bud.

Immediately afterward, the fresh juices of the meat, the salty, slightly astringent flavor of the sea salt, and the refreshing tartness of the lemon erupted at the same time, intertwining and reverberating in his mouth, luring out saliva.

Teeth chewed, and the last of the fish’s stubbornness broke off one by one under the grease that had been baked out of it, revealing the beauty and vague sweetness of the meat itself.

Klein swallowed the fish in his mouth, recalling the food programs he’d watched in his past life, and picked the one comment that best fit the sensation he’d just felt:

  ”Layered, very good!”

”Haha, you sound and word like a gourmet chef.” Erland joked.

Donna shook the fork in her hand and chimed in, “Uncle, maybe you should start a column in the newspaper, reviewing different cuisines from different restaurants.”

Huh, why haven’t I thought of this idea …… This is a good job where you can earn money for articles and taste food at the same time! The only problem is that obese people can’t be flexible clowns …… with the emetic method? What a waste of food that would be! Klein seriously considered Donna’s offer.

  ”To this fine evening!”

When there was little food left, Aeran poured some more Sunia blood wine and raised his glass with a flushed face.

Klein and the others chimed in in an equally good mood:

  ”To a good night.”

They drank the remaining liquid in their glasses one after the other and watched as the waiters cleared the tables and cleaned the deck.

In the cold, chilly air, they chatted for a while longer about the mermaids that interested Donna the most.

Krivis told the young girl that in certain legends, mermaids were also called sirens, and that they mesmerized humans with their songs not for fun, but for the hunt, and that in addition to the possibility of encountering such creatures on the voyage from the Galgas Islands to the depths of the Sunia Sea, there was a certain chance of discovering them in the unexplored, and variously perilous, seas of mankind, but that this was all born of the drunken bragging of certain pirates, who all but dodged the question of how they escaped the mermaid’s song, not too trustworthy.

Regardless, it at least pointed in a possible direction …… Klein jotted down the words they were discussing.

”Donna, Denton, it’s time to head back, you have an early start tomorrow to share breakfast with your parents.” Cecil glanced at the position of the moon.

  ”Okay.” Donna stood up reluctantly.

Denton, on the other hand, asked in a panic:

”Do I… do I get a chance to be an adventurer?”

His mind had been captured by the previous hunt and the legends that had just been told.

Krivis walked next to him and patted his shoulder and said:

”You need at least five years of fighting training and knowledge acquisition before asking that question, and I think your father will hire you good tutors.”

”Uh-huh!” Denton’s eyes lit up and he nodded vigorously.

After five years, grow up the odds are that you will not want to be an adventurer who is buried at the bottom of the sea at any time …… Krivis’s handling is very old ah, did not directly reject, but instead gave hope, let time to wash away, which avoids the sudden rebellion of a small child …… whatever How about it, mastering a fighting art will not be a disadvantage to anyone …… Klein inserted his hands into his coat pockets and thought appreciatively.

On the way back to the interior of the cabin, Krivis handed Klein two five pound bills:

  ”Your reward.”

He had just received 150 pounds for the purchase of an entire fishman from Aeran.

”I didn’t do anything.” Klein refused instinctively.

Krivis swept him with pale blue eyes and said in a low voice:

”You freed Cecil and watched over the children.”

Watch over the children? Crane wanted to laugh a little, but finally took the two bills and drew a triangle on his chest:

”You’re more generous than I thought, thanks.”

He stopped pushing is suddenly figured out a problem, if he didn’t take the ten pounds, in the eyes of a veteran adventurer like Cleves, he was not satisfied with the price, trying to get more, and could attack them at any time – there were by no means a small number of money-grubbing lunatics among the self-proclaimed adventurers!

Seeing Germaine Sparrow tucking away the banknotes, Krivis withdrew his gaze and spoke with a flat expression:

”That’s the rule of the sea.”

Without further ado, he followed Cecil and Donna and the others, entering the cabin.

If every single commission I have, every single task, is this kind of difficulty, can have this kind of harvest, I would have gotten rich by the profession of private investigator …… Klein laughed to himself and glanced sideways at the red moon high in the sky.

It still shone quietly and gently on the dark night.

”Legends of the sea, different monsters …… I’ve finally found a bit of an adventurer.” Klein turned around and walked to the edge of the ship’s side, bathing in the scarlet veil and admiring the waves that were getting darker and darker the farther away he went, his mood gradually settling down and coming out a little bit from the gloom that had followed the great haze of Beckland.

The cold and humid wind slapped his face, and the vast and boundless ocean came into his eyes, slowly opening his mind.

In this instant, Klein had the urge to sing a poem, but after he opened his mouth, he realized that he couldn’t remember the corresponding modern verse at all.

Can’t come up with a line, the sea ah, you are all water …… The “generalist” sequence of the great emperor is really very suitable for doing similar things, I have to look through his poetry collection when I have time, so that I don’t look like an illiterate …… Klein sighed as he belabored the red moon and the ocean:

  ”What a wonderful night.”

  ……

After an accidental getting lost, the exploration team returned to Silver City.

Looking at the city walls with barren grass growing in the crevices, Derek actually drifted off a bit, as if he had been gone for many years.

Behind him, Colin “Demon Hunter” suddenly lost his eyes and raised his hand to press his right temple.

The rest of the team was filled with heartfelt joy and relaxation.

After the difficult exploration, there is an end and a home waiting for them, is the most beautiful thing in their hearts.

Colin’s gaze returned to normal, slightly tilting his head sideways and looking diagonally ahead.

  ……

  Becklander, Wyatt’s home.

After much deliberation, a confident Emlyn came to her parents and opened her mouth to ask:

”If, if I want to delve into the history of our blood race, who should I look for?”

Directly asking about Silver City will probably expose my problem, although I’m not afraid and very frank, but for the sake of the Patriarch, in order to save the entire Blood Clan, I can only choose to conceal …… I’ve always been interested in the history of the Blood Clan, and I’ve collected a lot of information, my father and my mother are very clear about this, and won’t have any suspicions …… This excuse is perfect! Emlyn praised himself in his heart.

His father was five or six percent similar to him, wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and looking professional.

The gentleman, who had truly gotten his medical doctorate, put down the thick Anatomy in his hand and pushed down his glasses:

”There is no one in Berkland who knows more than Lord Nibais.”

……If I dared to go to Lord Nibais, I would have already gone ……Emlin thought of Mr. “Fool’s” description of the Savior’s posture of carrying secrets and misunderstandings, and pursued the question with a serious expression:

  ”Except where is Lord Nebais?

”He sleeps underground and is not conveniently disturbed often.”

Emlyn’s father pulled down the collar of his thick cotton pajamas and thoughtfully said:

”Wimandi, he always thought of himself as a historian.”

Emlyn said with secret relief and a smile:

”I wish to pay him a visit.”

  ……

  Whoop!

The siren sounded and the White Onyx sailed into Damir Harbor.

It would replenish fresh water and food on this colonized island and set sail again the next morning.

After hunting the fishmen, Klein had spent two days of what could be described as leisure and boredom, thoroughly bored with the sea, and decided to explore the harbor bar tonight in hopes of gaining more mermaid intel and finding inspiration for his role.

I wouldn’t be shy about teaching a lesson to any pirate who comes ashore with blood on his hands, and there are still spirits waiting to be set free within the Creeping Hunger …… Crane puts all the magical items on his body, and with a sweaty forehead, he leaves the ship’s cabin and goes down to the harbor.

In the process, he meets Donna and Clovis, who seem to be heading to the harbor restaurant to try Damir’s famous cured meat.

Donna and Denton took advantage of their parents’ inattention to greet their recently met adventurer uncle, seemingly curious as to where he was planning to go.

Klein returned the smile, tugged his collar together, and followed the signs to the nearest bar.

”Flying Fish and Wine ……” Klein glanced at the sign and realized that the outside of the bar was plastered with all sorts of bounties.

There were 800,000 pounds belonging to the “King of the Five Seas”, as well as hundreds of pounds for ordinary pirate leaders, ranging from high to low, forming a unique landscape.

”It’s all money ah …… “Klein stopped where he was and looked at it for a while.

Retracting his eyes, he pushed his way into the bar and found it perversely quiet, devoid of the requisite clamor of such an occasion.

What had happened? Crane looked around the room and saw Captain Erland in his dark red jacket sitting at the bar, and saw two burly men facing off in the center.
