Part 4 The Undead Chapter34 – The Anchor of the Gods
Knowing that the Queen of Mystery’s carefully selected journals were sure to contain something of great importance, Krynn the Fool focused his mind, and with seeming carelessness, turned his attention to the tawny parchment in his hand:
”September 11th, ever since I became an Angel, I have had the feeling that I have a split personality, that there are always voices in my heart, within my spirit, deep within my spirit, urging me on, influencing me, creating uncontrollable indifference, bloodthirstiness, cruelty, and insanity.
”This does not originate from the outside world, nor is it the influence of the divine on its own pathways; I can clearly feel it originating from the genes, from the collective subconsciousness of mankind inherited from one generation to the next, from the extraordinary traits themselves, and not from the residual spiritual influence from above.
”It gives me a strong desire to hunt and kill, to devour all the living beings around me that possess the Extraordinary Trait, which makes it necessary for me to spend the vast majority of my energy fighting against it, and even though I’ve been playing the part and digesting the magic potion, I haven’t seen any improvement.
”No wonder Mr. ‘Gate’ said that sanity is temporary and madness is eternal.”
”On September 28th, I hadn’t written in my diary for a long time, and for most of the previous month, it was as if I was watching myself being replaced little by little by strangers, little by little by strangers, becoming cold and terrible, and even my daughter, Bernadette, could only give me a small amount of fatherly love, very, very little.

”September 29, re-reading yesterday’s diary, I remembered the rituals corresponding to my Sequence 4, Sequence 3, and Sequence 2 respectively, and they all clearly had an insane cruelty to them, like the kind only villains in novels would perform.
”The Sequence Pathway, in all likelihood, is the path of doomed madness doomed despair.
”And it is in turn the only path by which mankind can attain transcendent power.
”It’s funny, the irony.
”We work so hard to save ourselves, only to better and more completely destroy ourselves?”
The content of the first page of the diary was heavy and depressing to read, the Rossel who wrote those statements was no longer an ordinary person, he had already become an angel, joined the “Twilight Hermit Society”, read the “Blasphemous Tablet”, and had a much better understanding of the mystical world and extraordinary characteristics than he did now. But he was even more pessimistic than he was now, and seemed to think that this world was twisted, crazy, and destined for self-destruction from the very beginning.
However, the seven gods seem to have found a way to maintain their sanity, and ordinary human beings are not without a role to play. Their cognition and their spirituality, when brought together, can potentially help the gods “locate” their original image, retaining the memories and sanity they have accumulated over the past few years. …… this This can be inferred from Rossel’s personal experience …… However, why did the seven gods abandon their original human images and use symbolic and abstract sacred emblems instead? This is not quite in line with my judgment …… can’t understand …… Klein didn’t waste time and flipped to the next page of the diary:
”December 5, Night of the Blood Moon, communication with Mr. ‘Gate’.
”K is still the same as every time before, always making requests for me to help K return to the real world, but without being too insistent and answering random questions for me.

”I asked again which King of Angels ‘accommodated’ Uniqueness, and again Mr. Gate did not answer directly, except to say that Amon and Adam made all the angels jealous from the bottom of their hearts because the K’s came with Uniqueness at birth, and did not have to think about the ‘accommodated ‘ problem. Another way to put it is that Amon and Adam themselves are equal to the uniqueness of taking the Sequence 1 magic potion? Worthy of being the son of the Creator!
”That Creator, also known as the Ancient Sun God, is so powerful that he can inherit a portion of Uniqueness to each of his two children, as well as the Sequence 1 Extraordinary Characteristics ……k is purifying himself and eliminating unnecessary interference?
”So, did Mr. ‘Gate’ also ‘accommodate’ the Uniqueness and even take two copies of the Sequence 1 magic potion? I didn’t ask because I knew for sure that K wouldn’t answer.
”During the exchange, Mr. ‘Door’ reminded me not to say Adam’s full name directly, or else I would be detected and caught in the conversation just now.
”I probably understood what was going on and asked K, with a smile, if you hadn’t already said Adam’s full name yourself.
”Mr. ‘Door’ replied that it was all right, because Sequence 4 of the ‘Apprentice’ pathway is called ‘Secret Mage,’ which has a certain meaning of keeping secrets, though not as much as the ‘Servant of Secrecy’ of the ‘Darkness’ pathway, but it’s enough to shield the senses of an existence at K’s level.
”I asked quite a few more questions about the gods, and Mr. ‘Door’ did not answer, but only said that when I had the ability and opportunity, I would be able to understand a lot of things by going to the moon and looking above it.
”This matches some of my previous thoughts, but I suspect that K is tempting me to go, wanting to use it to return to the real world, after all, every time K appears it’s related to the moon!”
Whenever Mr. “Door” appears, there’s a lot of information, and it always fills up a page …… Well, his explanation of the power level of the “King of Angels” is very much in line with my assumptions! ……
The “King of Angels” in the broad sense refers to a quasi-god who has exceeded Sequence 1 but has not yet reached Sequence 0 by various means, which includes accommodating “uniqueness” and consuming additional Sequence 1 magic potions, while the “King of Angels” in the narrow sense refers to a quasi-god who has exceeded Sequence 1 but has not yet reached Sequence 0 by various means. The narrow definition of “King of Angels” refers exclusively to the eight kings who rule over all the angels around the ancient sun god, the Creator that Silver City believes in. Of course, the K’s certainly meet the criteria of the broad definition as well……. Klein’s mind quickly flashed through multiple thoughts.
As for Russell’s speculation about the ancient sun god, he agreed, that the silver city believes that the Creator “recycled” too much of the ancient god’s authority is too mixed, there are signs of confusion and madness, and so decisively gave birth to two children, so as to exclude part of the “clutter”. So they decided to have two children, thereby eliminating some of the “clutter”.
Simply put, both Amon and Adam drank the magic potion and sent it to …… So it seems obvious that Adam, the “Angel of the Imagination”, has the only way to “audience”. K should be the mysterious leader of the “Dusk Hermits”, who interfered with the changes of the times from the ancient times to the present in order to resurrect his father. …… I don’t know if K has been promoted to the Sequence 0 …… Even if he hasn’t, the “Dusk Hermits” have been promoted to the Sequence 0. Even if not, the number of angels that the Hermits of Dusk can mobilize will be more than I can imagine. …… Well, the word “Hermit” even has the meaning of “secret keeper”, which means “secret”. …… Klein immediately thought of the symbol behind the “Fool” chair:

”On November 28th, I dreamt of Grimm again.
”He was the smartest one in my subordinates, but unfortunately, while exploring that nameless island, he was infected by an unknown infection and died in the Sea of Mists, not even leaving behind a child.

”Are they praying to an unknown god?
”In the midst of the ceremony, I saw Grimm ……”
