”Well? Did you see it clearly?” Forsyth had just left the street where Viscount Stepford’s mansion was located when he saw Hugh walking back with a somber expression and a slightly bewildered look on his face.

  Hugh nodded hesitantly:

  ”See clearly …….”

After saying this, she seemed to have finally come back to her senses and said rather shocked:

  ”I know her, no, him!”

”Him?” Forsyth was confused for a moment.

Hugh looked around out of habit before saying:

”He’s Sherman! The Sherman I told you about!

  ”He’s, he’s actually turned into a woman!”

Forsyth asked subconsciously rhetorically as he froze at the sound of his voice:

  ”Could you be mistaken?

  ”Actually Sherman’s sister?”

  Hugh shook his head firmly:

”No, she admitted it herself, and told me to leave her alone, that she wanted to say goodbye to the past altogether!

”But …… how did he become female ……”

Forsyth’s eyes rolled for a moment, suddenly remembering something and thinking:

”It’s not impossible …… there’s an extraordinary pathway that can turn a man into a female at some point.”

She remembered Ms. Justice mentioning something similar in one of the free exchanges.

”Huh? Really?” Hugh’s eyes widened for a moment and he asked back incredulously.

”For sure!” Already remembering the specifics, Forsyth gave the answer with considerable certainty.

”This ……” Hugh was a little hard to accept for a moment, but couldn’t find the words to refute it, so he had to ask after him, “Which way is it?”

  Forsyth replied:

  ”The Witch!

”Uh, the ‘assassin’ pathway, that is.”

”The Witch …… Sherman actually became a Witch …… ” Hugh repeated as if to himself.

Suddenly, her voice got a little louder:

  ”Could she be being used?

”No, I have to warn her!”

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Hugh was already turning around, running furiously with great strides, trying to catch up with the hired carriage again.

However, she couldn’t find her target again even after chasing for a few blocks, Sherman together with that carriage seemed to have disappeared out of thin air.

Hugh gradually slowed down and finally stopped, looking at the empty streets ahead with a complicated expression.

Behind her, Forsyth finally caught up after passing through several walls in a row.

  ”It’s gone ……,” Hugh whispered.

Folth likewise cast his eyes forward and responded thoughtfully:

  ”Spotted …….”

Without waiting for Hugh to speak, she sighed as she turned her side:

”Go back, and find another opportunity.”

Hugh did not take a step and remained standing there.

It was several seconds before she said, at Forsyth’s puzzled look:

”Now that they’ve realized something’s gone wrong, will they move ahead?”

”It’s possible! If they don’t want their plan to go bust, they’ll most likely try to make a last-ditch effort tonight, before we’re ready!” Forsyth immediately agreed with Hugh’s judgment, “Let’s go back to Viscount Stepford’s place, crouch down to a more secluded place, and continue monitoring!”

Hugh immediately nodded his head and responded without the slightest hesitation:

  ”Good.”

  ……

In the dock area, inside a warehouse where a lot of goods were placed.

Sherman was sitting on a dirty wooden crate, her hands clipped behind her back, and her body surface was entangled with one thin and tough spider silk after another.

It was as if her entire body was encased in a transparent cocoon, and she couldn’t even make a sound.

”This isn’t a bad thing for you.” Tris stood in front of Sherman, holding a flame as black as ink in her hand, “At least you can thus determine whether he really loves you or is deceiving you.”

Snowman was angry and fearful, trying her best to show pleading with a whimpering voice, but Tris was not the least bit moved by this, and the palm holding the pitch-black flame flipped over and pressed on Snowman’s stomach.

The flame was like a spirit, first dispersing like flowing water, then as if it had no form, it penetrated through the skin and flesh, trying to burrow inside.

Tris’s smooth, black hair fluttered against the laws of nature, pulled by an invisible hand and extended in all directions, so much so that the air around her was tinted with an inexplicable flavor.

Those hairs vaguely became thicker, dispersed from each other and rooted.

At their base, a deep light emerged, carrying curses and words that flowed forward quickly, merging into the pitch-black flames and entering Sherman’s stomach, where it quickly disappeared.

Snowman’s face appeared to twitch uncontrollably, but there was no feeling of pain, as if it was just a purely neurological instinctive reaction.

She quickly calmed down and saw the body of Tris, who was wearing a long, shadowy black dress in front of her, fade a little and gradually become transparent until it disappeared.

Sherman’s pupils dilated, and she struggled up once again, but she couldn’t get out of her bonds.

She exhausted her strength again and again, and started again and again, just like a flood was rising centimeter by centimeter in the silent warehouse.

I don’t know how long it took, but the door to the warehouse clanged open backward and slammed into the walls on either side.

A silhouette walked in slightly staggering, and it was none other than Viscount Stepford, who had long been middle-aged.

He didn’t wear a white wig head covering as he usually did when he went out, revealing a higher hairline and rather messy black hair, the latter stuck together in locks that seemed to have been soaked through by the torrential rains and dried out some more, but it hadn’t rained at all in the previous several hours, with thin clouds and a red moon overhanging the sky.

Drop after drop of sweat was sliding down the rigid lines of Viscount Stratford’s face toward his neck, while uncountable thin black threads seemed to be running under his skin.

His body was slightly hunched over, the muscles of his face twisted somewhat, and his eyes were filled with pain and worry.

After looking around and spotting Sherman, he was first delighted, then became anxious and rushed over with some difficulty in grasping his balance.

After seeing him enter the warehouse, Sherman’s face suddenly became vivid, as if it was covered with a layer of light.

She then revealed a look of worry mixed with fear, and madly tried to shake her head, but her neck was firmly fixed by the spider’s silk, and she could not turn it in any way.

She became more and more anxious, so much so that tears overflowed from her eyes, drop after drop, crystalline and fragile.

Seeing that Viscount Stepford was about to run in front of her, there was a sudden loud bang between the two of them.

It was as if there was an invisible wall there, separating Viscount Stafford and Sherman on both sides, which was difficult to cross.

”If you want to lift the curse and take her away, then answer my question without any hidden agenda.” At this time, a figure flew outlined in the corner of the warehouse.

Each of her five features was charming, and the combination was exceptionally sweet, as if every man had fantasized about his lover when he was a teenager, and it was none other than the magical girl Tris.

Without waiting for Viscount Stepford to respond, she directly raised her right hand, allowing a pitch-black flame to leap out.

On Viscount Stepford’s face, hands, and neck, all the exposed skin became transparent at once, highlighting one blood vessel after another.

And within each blood vessel, black flames burned quietly and flowed silently.

The pain in Viscount Stepford’s eyes peaked at this moment, but it disappeared in an instant.

His expression became extremely cold, and his eyes even took on a bit of derision, as if the one who was cursed was not himself, but Tris, who was a long distance away.

A large amount of black flames suddenly rose around Tris in the corner of the warehouse, illuminating the dense invisible spider silk, but it was unable to ignite them.

In an instant, Tris was “sealed” inside a transparent “cocoon” just like Sherman, making it difficult to move and unable to escape.

Warehouse high vents position, another figure outlined, this is a can not see the specific age of the lady, wearing a simple and holy white robe, black hair and blue eyes, clear spirit beautiful, has a kind of indescribable charm.

”Katrina Pellet ……” Tris, as if she had used all her strength, finally shouted out a name in a low voice.

At this time, Viscount Stepford scratched towards himself and grabbed out an illusory muppet that was densely entangled by black fire filaments.

He glanced at Sherman on his side and turned to Tris and smiled:

”I’m never careless when it comes to matters of life, and after the death of this fellow Sykes, I knew that one day it would be my turn.

”Oh, you were hunting me, then of course there were others who wanted to hunt you, we were patient, afraid of scaring you off, did nothing and waited until today.

”Also, your gift is very nice.”

Upon hearing Viscount Stepford’s words, Sherman, who was still struggling out of habit, stopped all movements at once, her expression dumbfounded like never before.

Her pair of eyes were wide open, but without focus, as if they were sinking inch by inch in the water.

”Love ……,” Tris suddenly laughed, seemingly sarcastic seemingly self-deprecating.

She wasn’t the least bit nervous, not flustered.

  ……

Rose Song Manor, the night is already deep.

Klein, who had arranged for the accommodation of more than twenty guests and prepared for the next day’s hunting activities, had not long fallen asleep when he suddenly woke up.

His intuitive premonition touched and conjured up a picture within his mind:

Major General Chunas Korg, shirt with pants, flew stealthily out of the stateroom window and floated outward against the rules of nature.

This …… I haven’t even done it yet …… He came here, but he also has his own purpose ah …… With a flash of thought, Klein has already taken control of one of the cockroaches outside, transforming it into a secret puppet and using its “eyes” to help him. The “eyes” of the cockroach to observe the surroundings.

Almost at the same time, Chunas Korg appeared.

After this demigod left the Maege Manor, he immediately confused the “distance”, and quickly arrived at the bank of the Tasok River, preparing to cross over.

The cockroach watched silently, not reacting in any way.

He is going to the south bank of the Tasok River …… What does he want to do …… He likes to hunt in the countryside, is it to cover up such actions? Did he introduce me to Maege Manor for that reason as well? Klein lay on his bed and carefully analyzed Chunas’ behavior.

By the time that MI9 demigod actually set foot on the south bank of the Tasok River, Klein suddenly remembered something:

After he had initially escaped from the underground ruins where Ince Zangwill and the others were located, the place where he had appeared was precisely in the northwest direction of Berkland, precisely on the south bank of the Tasok River, not too far away from the area where Maege Manor was located.
