Part 5 The Red Priestess Chapter 89 The Early Diary
BECKLAND EAST, inside a certain two-bedroom rental house in a certain apartment building.
Forsyth was holding a round-bellied blotting fountain pen and writing on spread out letter paper.
It was a letter to her teacher, Dorian Gray Abrahams, telling the other person that she was forced by some danger to move out of her original place, that she should not send her last reply there again, and if she did, to change her address as soon as possible, preferably even her identity.
After writing a bunch of words, Voorhees put down the pen, folded up the letterhead, stuffed it into an envelope and put a stamp on it.
Then she changed into her going-out clothes, took the letter she was going to mail, and left the room.
She hadn’t wanted to go out too much, but this was part of the new residence, and not to mention all kinds of alcoholic beverages, there were no coffee beans, instant coffee, black tea tea leaves, the newspaper of the day, the latest magazines, books and novels.
For these she had to go out and mail the letters herself, and in the meantime make some purchases outside the East End.
As for Hugh, he had long since gone out to send a letter back to the house he had been renting, to see if he could induce Sherman’s monitors to take some action on the matter of “Viscount Sturford’s true allegiance being to the King.”
”Really, the fear of the aftermath was surprisingly strong, I almost forgot to write to my teacher, if only I had gotten it done earlier, I could have gotten Hugh to send it along with me ……” Forsyth put on his floppy hat with the fine veil draped over it, and made his way down the slightly gloomy staircase all the way down to the ground floor and out of the apartment.
This was one of the more fringe areas of the East End, populated mainly by skilled laborers and lower level managers, and relatively well policed, even by newsboys.
Forsyth listened to the occasional ringing of bells and walked slowly up along the street.
At that moment, a mailman stopped his bicycle, took out a stack of newspapers from his mailbag, and entered the apartment building next to him.
Forsyth casually glanced at it and noticed that at the top of the stack was the Maritime News.
”People here actually subscribe to that kind of paper? Work related to maritime trade?” Voorhees retracted his gaze and muttered a couple sentences in slight surprise.
However, it wasn’t anything to be concerned about, and she quickly walked over to the mailbox in the street after seeing it.
The postman, on the other hand, entered the apartment and identified several targets from the rows of letterboxes, stuffing the appropriate newspaper into each.
Not long after he left, one of the letterboxes was opened and the newspaper was removed.
The man who took out the newspaper stepped up to the third floor, opened one of the rooms, sat down on a simple easy chair, and staggered to read it.
Next to the easy chair, there was a black wooden table, on which one newspaper after another was stacked messily.
Some of these newspapers were neatly folded, with the first page facing upwards, while some were asymmetrically bent to reveal one of the pages, and all of them presented the corresponding report:
”Shocker! Mad adventurer turns wanted man” “Mad adventurer reappears in an incredible hunt” “Closest man to a king at sea, £90,000 worth of adventurers” “Germaine Sparrow’s tale of three female pirate generals” “A battle to the death, Germaine Sparrow assassinates ‘Lieutenant General of Disease’ in the middle of the night ……
……
Forsyth had finished his purchases and had not been long in returning to that rented room when Hugh, too, returned from his trip.
They were so silent because it was already Monday, and three o’clock in the afternoon was about to fall.
Dang! When! When!
As the nearby church bells echoed, a tidal wave of crimson light simultaneously appeared before Forsyth and Hugh’s eyes.
Inside the majestic palace, at the old mottled table, a figure appeared in no particular order, coalescing into shape.
”Justice,” Audrey, as usual, stood up first, facing the uppermost head of the long bronze table, lifted her skirts in vain, and saluted:
”Good afternoon, Mr. ‘Fool’.”
Ms. “Justice” is still in a rather low mood. …… It seems that she is still affected by last night’s news. …… “Fool Mr. “Fool” Klein nodded his head imperceptibly in response to the greetings from the members of the Tarot Club.
At this time, the mood is not so happy Audrey with keen observation, but still the first to find the “Fool” Mr. right hand side, more a copper green cross.
Where did this cross come from? Can be put on the table by Mr. Fool, at least “blasphemy card” this level of items …… It originated from who? What does it do? One by one, the questions flew in the “justice” Audrey’s mind, let her hard to contain some curiosity.
This is the first time that Mr. Fool has placed a non-blasphemous item in front of him!
Immediately after, the Tarot Club members, including Alger the Hanged Man and Gaudreaux the Hidden, also noticed the bronze-green cross, which was much more conspicuous than the cards, and was the same as Ms. Justice. “Like Ms. Justice, they couldn’t help but speculate in their hearts about the origin, level and function of the item.
Among them, “Sun” Derek vaguely felt an invisible call, only felt that the copper-green cross is attracting him to go there.
He then remembered a basic rule that was mentioned in several courses in Silver City:
The Law of Convergence of Extraordinary Characteristics!
Is this a high-level seal of the Sun’s pathway? Derek had a realization.
”Magician Forsyth and Judgement Hugh recognized the copper-green cross as the seal that they had both sacrificed, and their pupils dilated slightly, as if trying to get a better look at it.
Mr. “Fool” is so attached to this item? Is it, is it more important than Hugh and I thought? Forsyth was stunned and couldn’t hide his curiosity.
Her thoughts would never go in the direction of romance when it came to matters involving the gods.
Hugh and Forsyth had similar thoughts, but neither of them opened their mouths, thinking that Ms. Justice would definitely take the initiative to ask about this kind of thing.
And while Audrey “Justice” was deliberating on how to raise her hand in a small way, Gadelia “The Hidden One” closed her eyes and turned her body to face the top of the long bronze table.
Before she curtsied and spoke, “Fool” Klein suddenly laughed softly:
”Don’t worry, these glasses can seal your ‘secretive eyes’.”
He knew very well that Ms. Hermit had already pushed open the door of the demigods, acquired divinity, and become an occultist.
This was partly due to the fact that “Star General” Gadelia had prayed to the “Fool” before performing the ceremony and taking the magic potion, hoping that she could be promoted under K’s watchful eye, so that even if she didn’t succeed in the end, she could still be blessed and wouldn’t lose control of her body or go crazy. Afterwards, she can still find a way to expel the excess characteristics and start again.
For this matter, Klein was actually not very sure, because he had never tried it before, and he did not get a valid answer from the divination, but he still agreed to Ms. Hidden One, thinking that if the other party fails and does not die, then it must be the credit of Mr. Fool, but if she directly goes out of control or crazy, then the other party will also be protected. If the other party lost control or went crazy, then the other party does not need to care about whether Mr. Fool is a liar or not, in short, Kline’s main purpose is to give the other party a certain degree of confidence and confidence, so that her state is more conducive to promotion, anyway, “General above the stars” can not find another existence to do similar blessings. Anyway, the “General above the Stars” couldn’t find any other existence to do similar blessings.
After witnessing Ms. Hidden One’s successful promotion to Demigod, Klein sighed in relief while spitting a few words in his heart:
”Sometimes, it’s easy to pretend to be a god, but it’s hard to pretend to be a human being. When a believer encounters a crisis, there are often only two outcomes, one is to be alive, the other is to be dead; being alive is naturally the blessing of the gods, while being dead is not something anyone cares about ……”.
On the other hand, after becoming a demi-god and half-human being, and being able to call upon the power of the mysterious space above the gray mist, “Fool” Klein could easily see the state of the astral bodies of the members of the Tarot Society, and thus deciphered their current extraordinary pathways and sequence levels.
The “Hidden One” Gadelia, who had taken the initiative to seal the “Eye of Secrets”, let out a sigh of relief and spoke respectfully:
”Great ‘Fool’ sir, this time there is a page of Rossel the Great’s diary.”
There’s a diary of Rossel the Great? “The Mystic Queen’s business is over? But there’s nothing out of the ordinary in Berklund. …… Well, no one noticed the invasion of Amon on Berklund Street or the demigod battle at Maege Manor. …… Klein the Fool nodded his head without moving his head and said. said:
”Good, you may think of questions or requests.”
At the same time he spoke, “Hanged Man” Alger, “Justice” Audrey and the others keenly interpreted a message from the conversation just now:
Ms. “The Hidden One” was worried that the manifested glasses would not be able to seal her “Eye of Secrets”, while in so many previous gatherings, she had never had similar concerns.
This means that Ms. Hidden One’s “Eye of Secrets” ability has increased dramatically. …… Well, why has it suddenly increased so dramatically? She’s been elevated to demigod status? We have a second demigod in the Tarot Club? Audrey “Justice” recalled the matter of the “Hidden One” Gadelia acquiring the blood of mythical creatures, and her heart immediately had a guess.
She swept the male members opposite her, and found that Mr. “Inverted Man” had unconsciously changed his sitting posture, putting on a bit of defensiveness, and seemed to understand that Ms. “The Hidden One” had already become a demigod; the small “Sun” was still looking at him with his eyes. “Mr. Moon Emlyn looked up at Ms. Hermit a few seconds later, and Mr. Star Mr. “Star” was similar to the little “Sun”, except that his eyes were slightly vacant, as if he was waiting for the diary session to pass.
”Dear Mr. ‘Fool’, can this question be accumulated for the next time?” At this time, the “Hidden One” Gadelia responded.
Accumulating to the next …… Is this the “Queen of Mysteries” still not wanting to be affected by her mood? Then why did she suddenly provide a page of her diary? What did she predict? In order to maintain the image of the “Fool”, Klein didn’t ask why and gently nodded his head:
”Yes.”
Without further ado, Gadelia manifested the diary page and watched as it flashed into Mr. Fool’s hand.
Klein scanned it as if at random, taking in most of the contents:
”July 19th, the night of the blood moon.
”Mr. ‘Gate’s’ answer has made me certain of one thing; the second desecrated tablet I saw within that ancient hidden organization was not complete!”
