After disposing of the mutated vials, Klein pulled out his gold-cased pocket watch and pressed it open to memorize the current time.

He had to return here in three hours to separate the “Darknessless Cross” and the “Vial of Enslavement”, only then could he obtain the extraordinary characteristics of the “Manipulator” alone, instead of the product of combining the characteristics of all the previous sequences. This is the only way to get the “Manipulator” extraordinary characteristic alone, not a product that combines the characteristics of all the previous sequences.

”There is a feeling of experimentation ……” Klein nodded slightly, put away the pocket watch, returned to the real world, and really began to take a lunch break.

By four o’clock in the afternoon, the valet, Njoni, knocked on the door of his employer’s room under the watchful eye of his butler, Walter.

”What is it?” Dawn Dantes, dressed in her pajamas and rubbing the corners of her forehead, opened the bedroom door.

  Njoni saluted and said:

”Sir, you accepted Lady Liana’s invitation for afternoon tea the night before last, today.”

”Good, give me a quarter of an hour to prepare.” Klein said as he looked over at his butler, Walter.

He then ordered up his valet, Njoni:

”You come in and help me change my clothes.”

When only himself and his secret puppet were left in the room, Klein maneuvered the latter to bring clothes suitable for afternoon tea while glancing at the wall clock on the wall from time to time.

After about ten minutes, having tied his bowtie and put on his jacket, he took four steps backwards from where he was and headed above the gray mist.

At this point, exactly three hours had passed since he had last entered.

At the top of the bronze table, the mutated glass bottle, which had been firmly pressed together with the “Darkness-less Cross” by the power of the gray mist, had lost its original feeling of being covered with a grid of shimmering light, and appeared to have changed from a work of art to a common household item on the street.

The bottom of this glass bottle precipitated a large number of gray and white, they have the vitality to flow on their own, forming a child’s fist-sized heart-shaped thing, not only has a lot of wrinkles on it, but also cracked one eye-like slit after another, as for the kind of intricate, three-dimensional, into the interior of the void of the patterns, signs and symbols, and Klein previously obtained Hwyn Lambeth extraordinary characteristics of the nearly identical to what he saw.

There is only a slight difference …… Klein released the gray mist of suppression, “no dark cross” out of the mouth of the bottle.

With this step, the item that had precipitated out of the bottle was completely separated from the mutated glass bottle, and became complete and independent.

Klein reached out with his left hand and picked up the brain-like item, examined it for a few seconds, and threw it into the pile of debris, enveloped by the gray mist.

This time, inside the mutated glass vial, the voice sounded once again, but rather weakly:

  ”You, this, devil ……”

Kraven did not respond, inserted the “no darkness cross” held in his right hand back, relying on the power of the gray fog to press and not let go.

Then, the ancient palace was back to quiet.

Back in the real world, Klein put on his bowler hat, took his cane, and left 160 Birklund Street in a carriage, heading for Senator Macht’s residence, number 39 on the same block.

  ……

At Senator Macht’s house, in the elegantly furnished sitting room, several guests were seated around an elaborate three-tiered tray, each with a cup of black tea of attractive color in front of them.

Klein took a piece of cucumber sandwich and lightly bit into it, half joking and half stating his true feelings:

”The desserts all seem to be chic today, whether it’s the carrot cake or the cream muffin.”

  Councilman Macht sniffed and laughed:

”Dawn, you really do have a keen sense of observation.”

This has nothing to do with observation, as long as the eyes are not blind they can see it, oddly shaped …… Klein said after bellyaching in his heart:

”That sounds like a good thing.”

”Of course, this is made by Hazel herself, you guys can taste it later, even though she can’t control the shape effectively yet, it tastes really good.” Councilor Macht said with a slight swagger.

On the other side of the room, Portland Mormont, the president of Bakerland Technical University, instantly laughed:

”That’s not quite the Hazel I know.”

Councilman Macht gave Mrs. Liana a contented look:

  ”Everyone grows, don’t they?

”Hazel has really matured lately; not only is she willing to take those lessons in preparation for society and marriage which she used to repel, and to make the occasional snack and play a piece of music for us, but she often volunteers to accompany her mother to concerts, to the races, to the department stores, and to be a quiet observer at the various salons and banquets.”

According to Ms. “Justice”, Hazel’s healing process has reached a stage where she can recall the great shock and pain she once suffered, although it is only an intuitive emotional feeling and does not involve specific events, but it is enough to make Hazel dream of losing her parents and most of her relatives from time to time. …… It made her unconsciously begin to cherish her family, and for that reason change herself to some extent? Klein nodded thoughtfully and smiled:

  ”That’s a good thing.”

”Yes.” Councilor Macht responded with considerable feeling, “I used to worry about Hazel’s character, worrying that she wouldn’t be able to get a good marriage, wouldn’t be able to socialize properly with the people in this circle, and wouldn’t be able to find anyone to help her when she encountered difficulties after our deaths, but now, I’m finally relieved.”

Councilor Macht broke into a heartfelt smile, rarely spilling out past concerns.

He then raised his arm and gave it a light wave, saying with great bravado:

”Why should I be an enemy of the damned haze and pollution, why should we fight for colonial interests with Forsak in East Byron, and Intis in West Byron, is it not so that our future generations will live well and have fewer worries?

”Hazel’s maturity means more to me than the feats built in East Byron, the resistance done in the House of Commons.”

Crane listened quietly to Senator Macht’s account and couldn’t help but glance sideways out the window.

It was cloudy outside, and the sun was nowhere to be seen.

At this point, Portland Mormont responded half-jokingly to Councilor Macht:

”No, those things are also for our own betterment.”

With that said, he looked over at Clyne:

”Dawn, thought about it yet? Want to invest in that mechanical lab of mine?”

Klein let out a laugh and said:

”Mr. Principal, why are you still as eager as a young man?

”I’ve gone through the information you gave me, I have a rough impression of what kind of equity and income I can get from investing, frankly speaking, I’m very interested, and I’m very satisfied with the fact that this mechanical lab is able to let one talented young man get exercise, that’s the most important thing that should be invested in, what’s the most valuable thing in the current era? Talent!”

”Rossel the Great said this.” Portland Mormont laughed, “So, how much do you plan to invest?”

Klein lifted his bone china teacup and took a sip of black tea and said:

”The initial plan is ten thousand pounds.”

”Worthy of being the most famous tycoon in Berkland recently, I can’t even guess how much assets you actually have, first you donated shares worth 10,000 or so pounds, then you spent 20,000 gold pounds to buy the Maege Manor, and now you’re going to invest the entire 10,000 pounds in Portland’s Mechanical Laboratory …… “Next to her, Lady Liana couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.

Portland Mormont, on the other hand, gave a thumbs up:

”Now that’s a truly discerning investor.”

  Klein smiled and said:

”But I will still first get a team of lawyers and accountants to verify the situation and draw up the terms and conditions, professional things have to be left to professionals, moreover, I still have to consider whether to invest directly or first set up a company or fund through which I can do it, well, Portland, I think there is a place where you didn’t think enough about it, such an important laboratory has little protection! Is there no fear of infiltration and sabotage by commercial spies or foreign powers?”

Portland Mormont was stunned for a moment and nodded slowly:

”Very reasonable …… I somewhat overlooked this issue before.”

Having achieved his goal, Klein stopped dwelling on the topic and turned to ask deliberately:

”Is there still no word from Rear Admiral Chunas Korg?”

  Councilor Macht sighed and said:

”No, the West Velas Field side said that Maege Manor and the surrounding area have been searched all over, and there isn’t even a single clue.”

As he spoke, the House of Commons MP lowered his voice:

”I suspect that that Major General had an accident during the course of some secret mission, and the atmosphere up there has been a bit strange lately ……”

In a sense, you guessed it all right …… Klein followed with a sigh:

  ”I hope nothing really happens.”

Afterwards, in the afternoon tea, Klein seized the time, went to the washroom, and put the extraordinary characteristics of the “dreamwalker” analyzed by the mutated bottle into the pile of clutter.

By the time the party was over and he returned to 160 Birklund Street, it was dark, the gas streetlights lining the road were lit in advance, and the drizzle was beating against the windows of the car.

”Right now all the questions are centered on what exactly the ‘Blood Emperor’ relics are hiding, and as long as the three major churches can catch the problem in time, they can stop a lot of things from breaking out.” Klein looked out the window at the light that was misty from the rain and pondered on the recent situation, “In the short term, unless I can capture Katrina, I won’t be able to do much to help, and the Goddess, who is in the midst of digesting or grasping the uniqueness of the ‘Reaper,’ may not be capable of responding at that level.

”To solve this dilemma, we either need to bring in targeted ‘0’ level seals from the Holy Church, or rely on the Storm or Steam Churches to see who of those two true gods will respond ……’0 ‘ level seals may not be possible, after all, it involves the King of Angels, and within the two major churches, there is likely to be a mole hiding ……”

It wasn’t far from 39 Birklund Street to 160, and before Klein could clear his thoughts, he was already back in front of his house and had to walk off the carriage.

He went to the third floor to change his clothes when inspiration suddenly touched him and he saw Renette Tynecol carrying four blonde, red-eyed heads out of the void.

”Sharon’s?” Klein reached for the incoming letter with some speculation.

”Yes ……,” one of the heads Renette Tynicol was carrying responded with an open mouth.

Without further ado, Klein opened the envelope and unfolded the paper, only to be met with a single line of words:

  ”Action at 10:00 tonight.”
