Part 6 The Light-Exporter Chapter 10 There’s Progress
Silver City, at the top of the Round Tower.
Derek Burger waited for a while, but could not get a response from Mr. Fool.
He panicked for a moment, not knowing what this meant or what to do about it.
”Mr. Fool is in some kind of state where he can’t answer prayers? Well, K had hinted to us that next week’s party might be canceled, so this should be a sign. …… Remembering what happened earlier, Derek barely managed to soothe his inner anxiety and nervousness.
It was no wonder that he reacted so strongly, for the textbooks of Silver City documented a similar situation:
The Creator who normally responded to the believers suddenly stopped responding one day and abandoned the land!
After a few seconds of silence, Derek stood up and returned to the room where the Chief was, addressing Colin Iliad:
”There is still a few days of waiting.”
”Wait?” “Demon Hunter,” Colin repeated that keyword, his brow furrowing slightly.
To him, it was an unusual thing that seemed to symbolize a bad development.
Derek resisted the instinctive reaction of scratching the back of his head and nodded with slight difficulty:
”Yes.”
The gray-haired Colin Iliad watched him for a few seconds and nodded slowly:
”Good, you can go back first.”
……
Inside a two-bedroom rental house in Birkeland, East End.
Wrapped in thick clothing, Voorhees paced back and forth around the warmth of the stove, confusion written all over her face.
Finally, she turned her head sideways and looked at Hugh Doyle in his chair:
”Why hasn’t Mr. ‘World’ replied to me yet?”
”Maybe tripped up on something.” Hugh stated the reason he had long considered, “Perhaps Mr. ‘Fool’ is not at liberty to convey your prayers at the moment, k alluded to the possibility of the party being suspended for a week earlier.”
Forsyth nodded thoughtfully and said:
”Mr. ‘Fool’ hinted at the possibility of our gathering being suspended for next week, and it was only in the middle of the week that he said so; could this be related to the matter of George III?”
Thinking of what Mr. ‘World’ had been pursuing, Hugh said with an “Hmmm”:
”Very likely.”
……
Inside the dead city-state of Godforsaken Land.
Amon, dressed in the black robes of a classical wizard, led Klein into a church that was still intact.
Here the stone pillars were leaning and broken in several places, and at the top dark red barren grasses grew through their cracks and entangled a bird relief.
Carrying a leather lantern, Klein looked around and confirmed that the inhabitants of this city-state were not truly dead, and that there were still a handful of survivors left, who had somehow transformed into monsters in the depths of the darkness, and were hiding from the dim light, surrounding the church out of sight and trying to attack Klein and Amon, the two normal-looking humans.
–The reason why Klein was sure that those monsters were originally inhabitants of this city-state was because their “spiritual threads” had a certain degree of distortion, or gray, or twisted, or partially adhered, which was very different from the monsters in other places, and was closer to that of the corpse inside the sarcophagus. The feeling of a corpse inside the sarcophagus is much closer to the feeling of a corpse inside the sarcophagus.
I do not know what kind of despair and collapse, so that the remaining human beings here chose such a road …… Perhaps the deepest despair is that every day you can not see hope, and the situation around you is getting worse and worse …… Klein has some feelings to take this opportunity to adjust their own state of mind .
He was experiencing the encounter of appearing hope and reaping despair again and again.
Amon, wearing a monocle, walked on the edge of the glow of the lamps all the way to the deepest part of the church.
Klein followed closer and saw a door veiled in a pale white glow standing there.
”This city-state is actually divided into two parts, light and dark, they use certain abilities of the ‘Apprentice’ pathway to hide parts of the area that must be accessed through specific ‘doors’.” Amon said as he raised his hand and pointed ahead.
”Secret Mage abilities?” Klein nodded in understanding, signaling that he probably knew what was going on.
Amon then said:
”Behind this door is the dark side of this city-state, and I can use it to connect with a similar area further away and arrive there directly, shortening our journey.”
No less than the embodiment of loopholes …… Klein watched as Amon reached out his left hand and pressed down on the door made of pale white light.
Ripples began to appear in that glow, darting out in all directions, growing more and more intense.
Just then, the body of a monstrous monster hiding in the depths of the darkness and peering into the church shook violently, transforming into Klein’s secret puppet.
As early as twenty or thirty seconds ago, Klein had already completed his initial control over it and deepened his influence, but waited until now to completely transform it.
Immediately after, Klein and the secret puppet at the same time to explore the hand, taking advantage of Amon to change the “door” pointing opportunity, respectively grabbed out a thing.
In Klein’s hand was the Crimson Moon Coronet, which was shaped like a full moon and inlaid with scarlet gems, and in the secret puppet’s palm was the brass-colored and anciently shaped Universal Key!
At the same time, they opened their mouths and let out a “bang” sound, using air cannonballs to push the “Crimson Moon Coronet” and the “Universal Key” towards Amon and the light white light door.
The combination of these two items allows one to hear Mr. Door’s cry for help, which means that Mr. Door’s power can penetrate into the real world in a limited way.
This is the master of all the Doors, and he is one of the last people who want to see Amon become the Mistake and take control of the Fortress of Source!
Klein didn’t expect that Mr. Gate in the sealed state could really hurt Amon, but only hoped that he could use this opportunity to interfere with the Time Angel, creating enough space for himself to make other preparations.
Of course, if Mr. Gate can make the door mutate, widen or distort the loophole created by Amon, and in turn affect the King of Angels in the way of the “Stealer”, and teleport K to a faraway place, Klein will definitely be sincerely grateful! Mr. “Door” for a week.
–After the previous attempts, Klein realized what his biggest disadvantage is now, not the sequence difference of one place, there is an essential difference in the level, but the loss of initiative, unable to prepare properly, every time he started to prepare, it would be interrupted or destroyed by Amon.
For a senior “magician”, unprepared performance is often synonymous with failure.
If Klein could have prepared in advance and quietly summoned the historical aperture projections of Mr. Azteca, Renette Tignicole, and the “Serpent of Destiny” Will Onsettin, even if he couldn’t solve K in the face of the Sequence 2 level of Amon’s doppelgänger, he could surely create a very good chance of escaping.
At that moment, the “Crimson Moon Coronet” and the “Universal Key”, which emanated a serene glow, arrived at the light door with a whistling sound.
The pale white light that made up the illusory door distorted, swallowed up the two items, tinted a little scarlet, and collapsed into a vortex.
The vortex seemed as if it could not see the bottom, like a huge eye.
Amon, who was about to turn around, appeared to stall slightly after being gazed at by this eye, as if he had heard the shouts of an old friend.
However, such a lag disappeared in an instant, as if it had never existed.
As Amon’s gaze shifted to Kraven, he lost six of his extraordinary abilities at once.
These included the ability to control “psychic threads”, summon images of historical orifices, paper doubles, manipulate fire, breathe underwater, and soften bones.
Of course, the loss of these six extraordinary abilities did not affect Klein’s ability to do other operations.
The imperceptible pause just now allowed Klein to swap places with the Secret Puppet in time!
He had arrived in the dark depths outside the church, and the monstrous monsters around him trembled in unison and turned into his secret puppets.
For this kind of target that didn’t even have a Sequence 5 level, it only took Kraven two or three seconds to turn them into secret puppets, and he had already begun a similar operation when he summoned “Crimson Moon Coronet”.
While enjoying the darkness without a care in the world, trying to transform into a hidden state or succeeding in committing suicide, Kraven simultaneously reached out with the secret puppets and grasped at the mist woven by history.
This time, he divided the secret puppets into three groups, summoning Renette Tynecol, Mr. Azk and Will Onsettin, the Serpent of Destiny, so as not to succeed as he did last time, only to be stolen by Amon – he might have one or two of them left in a similar arrangement. One or two.
Assuming, of course, that Amon can’t steal the images of more than one historical orifice at a time.
This was yet to be confirmed by Klein.
Klein’s essence retracted its hand, grabbing nothing.
All the puppets that summoned the “Serpent of Destiny” failed, but two of the “Ancient Scholars” that summoned the “Consul of Death” and Renate Tynicol had their arms slightly tense. The situation.
Klein was delighted, and felt that this attempt might not be unable to turn into a real escape operation.
At that moment, the crystal monocle worn by Amon burst out with a blazing, raging, and terrifying light.
The entire city-state, even the surrounding valleys, hills and wilderness, was filled with pure, burning sunlight, and “day” came again after thousands of years of saying goodbye to this place.
Amon returned the “day” that he had stolen from the “relics of the divine war”!
In such a “day”, not only did Klein’s body feel like it was melting, but his ears also echoed with familiar and crazy ravings, which were like steel needles that penetrated into every “Spirit Worm”.
This caused his mind to be consumed by immense pain, and the summoning of the secret puppets, which was about to be successful, failed.
The “daytime” of the Divine War Ruins contained the ravings of the “True Creator”!
The monstrous monsters that had been hiding in the depths of the darkness, the few survivors of the city-state, seemed to have briefly regained their senses, and looked at the “daytime” in a daze, unable to stop themselves from squinting.
Then, they madly rushed to the source of the “day”, and one by one, they dissolved into dust.
Far away from here, in the afternoon camp of Silver City, the guards on top of the barricade noticed that a light different from lightning appeared in the sky in the northeast direction, just like the scene in the legend when the sun was about to rise.
It lasted only a few seconds before fragmenting, and the sky returned to deep darkness.
Klein had just recovered from his ravings when he saw Amon standing in front of him wearing a peaked floppy hat.
The Angel of Time stroked his monocle and smiled:
”Well done.”
