I cursed in my heart, saying that this was really bad luck. Could it be that this corpse was also faking?

But at this point I was completely out of it, thinking that even if it was a fake corpse, this fresh dumpling didn’t have a chin, and it couldn’t bite me to death. Just as I was about to fight, I suddenly saw a fiery red snake head poking out from under the tongue, about the size of a fist, with a huge rooster’s comb on its head. As soon as the snake head moved, the whole snake crawled out from under the tongue and climbed onto the pile of branches.

The well where the fat man and I were was less than two or three meters away from the pile of branches. After the snake had crawled up the pile of branches, it slowly swam down the branches that grew horizontally on the pile of branches. The snake was quite long, more than a meter long. It was a little longer than the one that bit Ning to death.

The snake was obviously hiding in the corpse inside the pile of branches and was disturbed by me.

The snake quickly climbed up the stone wall along the tree branches. The stone wall was very uneven, and it climbed up the wall just like a gecko, silently creeping towards us. I saw that it was bad, and I didn’t have time to avoid it. In desperation, I quietly slipped down the well and hid in the water.

I thought it would alert us and then roll out of the water. I was already more than two meters away from the pile of branches. I looked up immediately and saw that the snake was attracted by the fat man. That was the entrance to the well where the fat man was. It followed the stone wall all the way down to the entrance to the well. Immediately, it realized that the fat man in the well was a living person and stopped. It turned its head a few times.

My heart immediately went up, and I thought to myself that it wasn’t going to bite the fat man. This was unlikely, because the fat man was lying there like a dead fish. If you don’t disturb the snake, it won’t bite anything on its own. After all, venom is very precious.

I watched as the snake suddenly moved again, climbed into the well and headed straight for the fat man’s head. It even climbed onto the fat man’s forehead, as if it was going to burrow into the fat man’s mouth.

I was horrified. It was going to go in and give the fat man some protein again. I immediately wanted to find something to throw at it to get it to go away, but I couldn’t feel anything in the water. I had to splash water with my hands to hit the snake.

This was a really stupid decision. If it had been another kind of snake, it might have been scared away, but I forgot that this snake was evil. The snake was scared away by my splash of water and immediately retreated. It immediately spotted me, straightened its body, erected its crest, and emitted a series of high-pitched “cuckoo” sounds, as if threatening me.

I thought it had worked, and continued splashing water. Before I could make a second splash, the snake suddenly contracted, spotted me, and then flew up like an arrow. It shot out of the well opening, danced gracefully in an 8-shape along the water surface, and rushed to my face in less than a second.

I only saw a flash of red light, and my hand reflexively went up to block it. The snake wrapped itself around my arm and shoulder, and I could feel it was as thick as my arm. The scales were very slippery, and I almost saw its fangs at that moment. My brain immediately buzzed, and I yelled and threw it away.

It was a crazy move, and I must have used all my strength to throw it away. The snake was thrown out several meters, but it didn’t stick to the water. Suddenly, it made a turn, slapped the water with its tail, and bounced up again, coming back to the surface.

I turned around and fled, using all my strength to flop around. I darted forward and plunged into the water, changing direction and swimming several times. I then hid in the gap under the pile of branches.

I hid there until I couldn’t hold my breath anymore, then I peeked out of the water and took a deep breath. I looked around, trying to see if I had fooled the snake.

I thought to myself that snakes are still animals, they can’t use human tricks, so this simple little trick should work.

But when I looked around, there was no sign of the snake on the water, it didn’t seem to have chased me.

I let out a sigh of relief, thinking to myself that I had just narrowly escaped death. I was about to smile wryly when I suddenly heard a cold, sinister laugh behind me.

I was already scared out of my wits, and I immediately felt a chill run down my spine. I turned around and saw the blood-red crested snake standing right behind me, its venomous yellow eyes looking down at me with contempt.

I choked and immediately wanted to dive into the water, but when I saw it shake its crest, it suddenly emitted a faint sound: “Little Master?”
