After Masayoshi Kishimoto took a taxi to send Makoto Natsui back first, it was only then that he returned home. He opened the door to his room, the entranceway and took off the shoes on his feet, changed into slippers and headed inside.

As soon as Masayoshi Kishimoto walked into the living room, he saw the Sakai sisters sitting on top of the long sofa, each holding a pillow in their hands, still watching TV.

He casually asked, “It’s so late, still not sleeping?”

Sakai Meiling put down the pillow in front of her, stood up, walked towards him with a smile, and took the initiative to extend her hands, “Where’s my Christmas present?”

“I’m really sorry, I forgot.” Masayoshi Kishimoto snapped his palms together and placed them in front of his face.

“So sad!” Sakai Misuzu put her fists on the left and right sides of her eyes, and made a crying motion as she went up and down.

“Meiling, stop it.” Rie Sakai said as she stopped her pouting behavior.

Sakai Mirai lowered her hands and turned back sideways just to make a face at her sister. She once again turned back to look at Masayoshi Kishimoto and said quietly, “Even though you’re heartless, my sister and I are affectionate.”

When she said this, she intentionally paused for a moment, shaking her palms at the other party, and then with a turn of phrase, she said with a joyful voice, “We prepared a Christmas present for you. Are you happy? Surprised?”

Justice Kishimoto was infected by her joyful atmosphere, and also played along with her, cupping his face with both hands and saying, “I’m so happy! I’m so surprised!”

Sakai Mirei sidestepped and scattered her legs before trotting into her sister’s bedroom, from which she fetched two wrapped presents. She repositioned herself in front of Masayoshi Kishimoto.

Sakai Misuzu first handed out the relatively small gift in her left hand, and then handed out the relatively large gift in her right hand, “This one is a Christmas gift I personally picked out for you.

This one is the Christmas gift that my sister picked out for you. Brother Justice, open it up and see if you like the Christmas gift I gave you or the Christmas gift from your sister?”

Kishimoto Masayoshi reached out with both hands to take the two Christmas gifts together, and moved his feet towards the long couch. After he turned around and sat down on his butt, he began to open the presents.

The first present Masayoshi Kishimoto opened was the large one from Rie Sakai. He tore open the outer packaging and took a look at it, and it was a pair of gloves.

Although they were not as warm as the one on the top of his neck that Natsui Makoto had compiled with a single stitch, they were still thoughtful, and after all, it was the first time that he had received a gift from Sakai Rie of his own free will.

Masayoshi Kishimoto even put it on his hand in front of the sisters. He then went on to unwrap the outer packaging of the Christmas gift that Sakai Mirei had given herself. He unwrapped it and his entire being was left a bit speechless.

“My sister is giving you a pair of gloves, and I’m giving you a pair of socks. We’re warming your hands and feet inside the great winter.” Sakai Meiling said with a smile as she made a pair of scissor hand motions.

Masayoshi Kishimoto silently stood up and walked towards his bedroom without saying anything. A few moments later, he went and returned and reappeared before the Sakai sisters’ eyes.

“Things have been a bit hectic lately, I really forgot about the whole preparing Christmas gifts for you guys thing.” Masayoshi Kishimoto mouthed.

“No need. You’ve done enough, I’m afraid I can’t pay you back in this lifetime.” Sakai Rie said with a special count in her heart.

Adding to that, her sister had already left her completely at a loss for words after she had given herself a gushing account of that one single-family house in a high-class residential area in Nishi-Mabu in the harbor district.

“Family, why should we be so clear-cut? Right, Brother Justice?” Sakai Meiling said as she took the initiative to sit on the other side of Kishimoto’s body after he sat down again.

“Your call.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said as he leaned forward and bent down towards the glass coffee table.

He wrote an Arabic numeral of 500,000 yen on the top of the Mitsui Bank’s cashier’s checkbook, and signed “Masayoshi Kishimoto” with four kanji characters in a flowery signature.

Masayoshi Kishimoto put down the Parker pen in his right hand, tore off the written check, turned sideways to the left and handed it to Rie Sakai, saying, “Take it and buy two decent clothes.”

Rie Sakai understood that he had taken the money to buy clothes for himself to wear for the three days of the New Year’s Concert on stage. She returned the cash check without even glancing at the numbers on it and said, “I’ll go rent them.”

Masayoshi Kishimoto placed the cashier’s check she had returned in her hand on top of the glass coffee table and said, “As you wish.

However, let me kindly remind you that the three-day New Year’s Concert will not only have an audience, but also media reporters.”

Sakai Rie was surprised. She had never thought that her first debut show would be so grand. Since there were media reporters coming, there would be press and all that. It would inevitably have to be a well-dressed affair.

Sakai Meiling reached out to Kishimoto Masayoshi with both hands, taking the initiative to demand with anticipation, “What about me?”

“Not without your share.” Kishimoto Masayoshi took out the wallet he was carrying, and pulled out a 10,000 yen Fukuzawa Yukichi from it and put it in her hand, “Here.”

Sakai Misuzu immediately refused, pouted her mouth high up and said, “Brother Justice, you are also too biased. Why does my sister get half a million yen and I only get a measly 10,000 yen?”

“Good boy, don’t get into a little mood, I’ll give you another one.” Masayoshi Kishimoto drew another 10,000 yen Fukuzawa Yukichi from his wallet and placed it on top of her two outstretched hands, saying.

“You are really too biased.” Sakai Mirei said with a face full of displeasure.

“Your sister is going to buy a dress code for the show. What do you need so much money for when you’re just a little girl?” It wasn’t that Masayoshi Kishimoto couldn’t give her money to spend, but he didn’t want to see her corrupted away by money at a young age said.

“It’s already early in the morning. Don’t you fool around.” Rie Sakai sidled up to her own sister and reminded her of that.

Sakai Meiling ignored her sister’s reminder to herself. Holding the money in both hands, she grabbed one of Masayoshi Kishimoto’s arms and swung it from left to right, dragging out her pouty voice, “Onii-chan ……”

Masayoshi Kishimoto faced her unperturbed and said in a serious manner, “In a word, to be or not to be? If you do, it’s only 20,000 yen. If you don’t, give it back to me.”

“Onii-chan, can you give me some more Fukuzawa Yukari? People love it so much.” Sakai Meiling’s eyebrows smiled as she said.

“You’re not the only one who likes Fukuzawa Oracle, it can be said that everyone likes it.” Masayoshi Kishimoto couldn’t help but laugh and said.

“I promise you that I will never spend them indiscriminately, I will only keep them in my collection.” Sakai Meiling grabbed his arm with one hand and didn’t let go, and with the other hand, she put up three fingers in a swearing gesture and said.

“It’s better for me to collect them for you!” Masayoshi Kishimoto said with an unchanging smile as he feigned that he was about to reach out to retrieve the two ten thousand yen bills in her hand.

“Don’t, resolutely don’t.” Sakai Misuzu grabbed the money without letting go and shook her head vigorously.
