Episode 14: Demons Chapter 9: Danger in Every Direction
The black dragon changed into by the metal beings hovered in the mountain air of the mountain range, and one by one, those in the Black Dragon Tribe who wanted to travel to Emperor Wing City flew over. A burly young man, on the other hand, stood at the entrance of the passageway opened by the metal life’s abdomen.
“Come one by one. For those who want to go to Emperor Wing City, five inkstones each!” The burly young man bellowed out, full of concern.
There were over a hundred people who wanted to go to Emperor Wing City. Linley and the three of them were naturally in the crowd.
Five inkstones per person, the three of them would need fifteen inkstones, and they had only gotten twenty inkstones from selling four inferior divine artifacts in the first place, so they had lost most of them in one go.
“It’s still really expensive!” Bebe muttered in a low voice.
“Didn’t you hear Patton?” Linley whispered. “This is the departure of the people and horses within the tribe, that is, the internal residents of the tribe. One can depart together by spending five inkstones. Like the residents of other tribes, they’re not qualified to enter this metal life at all.”
As the two spoke, it was Linley’s turn for the three of them.
“The three of us land.”
Linley gestured. Then he took out two long strips of inkstone. Each inkstone long strip was equal to ten inkstones.
After the burly young man took it, he gave Linley five more small pieces of inkstone. Impatiently, he said, “Hurry up, next.”
Linley and the others immediately entered the interior of this metal life.
The space within the metal life was extremely large, and at the same time, it was also separated into a front and back compartment. Anyone like Linley who paid five inkstones to come in entered the rear compartment, which also had a large number of positions automatically formed by the metal life.
These positions were four people in a row. Linley’s three naturally chose the same row.
“I’m leaning against the side.”
Bebe sat directly at the innermost part. It was possible to look out through the transparent metal as Delia and Linley sat outside.
“It’s finally time to leave the Black Dragon Tribe.”
Linley and Delia smiled at each other. Shaking hands with each other. And as one by one, the tribesmen came in. Naturally, there were somewhat insufficient places in the rear cabin, and a young man with twisted turquoise hair smiled and greeted Linley. Then he sat down next to Linley.
“Greetings, my name is Deborah!” This turquoise-haired youth friend gave a friendly greeting to Linley, who was next to him.
“I’m Linley.”
Linley nodded in a friendly manner.
In hell. When looking at status, it was mainly based on the level of strength. This Deborah was only a lower level god …… Deborah also felt. That woman (Delia) and that teenager’s (Bebe) aura both made him feel intimidated. Instead, Linley should be a lower god.
“Linley, what are you doing in Emperor Wing City?” Deborah inquired curiously.
“Me? I just came to Hell for the first time and wanted to visit Emperor Wing City. Never been there before, what about you?” Linley asked with a faint smile.
Deborah lowered her voice and said, “I wanted to sell a divine artifact, but it was too much of a loss to sell it in the tribe. So I still decided to go to Emperor Wing City to sell it, which was also lucky for me. That big battle half a year ago. I happened to pick up a Median Divine Artifact down there.”
In that great battle, numerous Median Gods fell.
At that time. For example, Linley’s three even killed three Mediate Gods. Taking away their divine frames, divine artifacts, and spatial rings, at the time of the Great War, tribesmen were not required to surrender some of the ordinary possessions they had gotten to the patriarch, whoever got them went to whoever. This was the rule of the tribe.
“You’re lucky.”
Linley praised with a faint smile.
“Rumble~” the metal being moved, the violent air currents were split apart, and the metal being instantly transformed into a phantom weaving and disappearing over the mountain range, leaving the Black Dragon Tribe.
“It’s starting.”
Linley said silently in his heart.
“From here to Emperor Wing City. It’s going to take about half a month, so this half a month is going to be boring.”
The turquoise-haired youth beside Linley, ‘Deborah’, muttered somewhat helplessly.
“Half a month?” Linley’s heart stirred.
He also recalled that Quatre had once said. The closest city to the Black Dragon Tribe, ‘Emperor Wing City’, was more than ten million miles away from the Black Dragon Tribe, and since it could arrive in half a month, the distance this metal being traveled in a day was almost a million miles or so.
“Lower your voice!” Suddenly a cold shout came from the front, and Linley and the others all tilted their heads to look. Only to see a blonde-haired old man stepping into the passageway entrance where the rear and front compartments connected, followed by several Medium God warriors.
“Lord Edmund has also come.”
The turquoise-haired youth ‘Deborah’ whispered in surprise.
“Who is Edmund?” Linley also lowered his voice.
That Deborah explained, “Lord Edmund, is the great steward of the clan leader, Lord ‘Stoughton’, and I didn’t expect that this time, Lord Edmund is also going to Emperor Wing City, and I was able to get Lord Edmund to make an appearance. It seems that this time, the tribe is going to Imperial Wing City. There is big business.”
Deborah’s knowledge of the Black Dragon Tribe could exceed that of Linley and the others.
Linley also glanced in amazement at Edmund in the distance.
A great steward? “This Edmund should be an upper god.”
Bebe’s voice resounded in Linley’s mind.
Linley secretly nodded as well.
Edmund’s gaze was clear and cold as he looked around at the crowd in the rear cabin. Drinking blandly, he said, “Is there anyone here who is going to Emperor’s Wing City for the first time. If it’s your first time going. Stand up first!” Instantly, two figures stood up in the rear cabin. Linley, Delia, and Bebe looked at each other. They also stood up.
Edmund swept his eyes. Nodding bashfully, he said, “Five in total.”
Spinning around, he walked over towards the three people closest to him, Linley. When he reached the side he saw Edmund and laughed, “Edmund you little guy are going this time too? Just tell the three of them some things to watch out for when they go to Emperor Wing City. If they get into trouble. It would be fine if the three of them die. I don’t want to. Because of the three of them causing the tribe to get into big trouble.”
“Yes. My lord, you can rest assured. I will definitely tell them everything they need to be aware of. Tell them all.”
This blue-haired youth ‘Deborah’ even said.
Edmund nodded indifferently, “If something goes wrong. I will look for you. You three, sit down!” After saying that, Edmund walked towards the back again. Similarly, he ordered the person next to him to tell those two some things that needed to be taken care of, and when that was done, Edmund left the back cabin with his own people and went back to the front cabin.
In the front cabin, that was the clan leader ‘Stoughton’s’ immediate family.
“You need to pay attention to a few things when you go to Emperor’s Wing City?” Linley looked to Deborah.
Deborah smiled and nodded, “There are some things. First of all, to enter any city in hell, you need to pay an entry fee. The entry fee is one inkstone per person!” “So greedy.”
Linley said in his heart.
Deborah continued, “After you enter the city, you’d better keep following the tribal land and horses and don’t run around …… because after you’ve done everything. Everyone will immediately leave Emperor Wing City on the same day and return to their tribal lands.”
“Back on the same day?” Linley was somewhat surprised.
But in Linley’s opinion. This didn’t have much to do with him. Because Linley wasn’t even prepared to return to the Black Dragon Tribe again.
“Yes, return on the same day, because Emperor Wing City, in fact, not only Emperor Wing City, but all the cities in the entire hell have a ‘curfew’, whenever it’s twelve o’clock in the night to around five o’clock in the morning, no one is allowed on the city’s streets, big or small, during that time. Once caught …… if it is a resident of Emperor Wing City, it is okay. You will be punished and put back, but if you are not a resident of Emperor Wing City, then. You will never be able to return to the Black Dragon Tribe.”
Deborah said solemnly.
Linley’s heart was startled.
“What you mean is. If you’re caught at night, that’s the end of it?” Linley looked at Deborah in surprise.
Deborah nodded solemnly, “So. We usually go back to the Black Dragon Tribe immediately on the same day, and we definitely don’t spend the night in Emperor’s Wing City anymore, because in some of the hotels in Emperor’s Wing City, it only takes one stay. It would require over a hundred ink stones, who would be willing to part with that?” “Over a hundred ink stones?” Beside him, Bei Bei stretched his head.
“En.”
Deborah nodded affirmatively.
Linley and the others were all shocked. This Emperor Wing City land consumption was too terrifying, no wonder …… that Quatre had said to himself that it was difficult to gain a foothold in Emperor Wing City! “This black dragon will stop soon. Passing through our Petrel Mountain, it’s better to leave money down!” A cheerful voice instantly resounded throughout the metal beings. No matter if it was the front or the back cabin, everyone was in shock. Everyone understood – not good, they had encountered robbers! “It’s only been a short while since we set out, and we’ve already encountered robbers?” Linley was surprised.
One had to realize that traveling to Emperor Wing City would take nearly half a month. If this frequency was followed, how many robbers would be encountered on the road? Linley looked at Delia and Bebe and said in his heart, “No wonder that Patton said back then that if the three of us broke into hell. We wouldn’t survive more than three days. There are simply too many bandits and robbers in this hell.”
Linley and the others also saw a large group of people hovering outside through the transparent glass, the leader of which was wearing a dark green robe, his green hair spread out. There was a unicorn horn on his forehead.
“A unicorn horn?” Linley understood. Many other races had different aesthetics than humans. Even when they took human form, they would retain some. Things they considered beautiful, such as the unicorn horn! This bandit leader was afraid that this was the case. These seventy to eighty people or so, they had just cast a One Elemental Behemoth to block this metal being.
The turquoise-haired youth next to him, ‘Deborah’, laughed, “Linley don’t worry. There won’t be any problems.”
“Hmph! When did you guys occupy the Petrarchal Mountains, don’t you even know about my Black Dragon Tribe?” That Grand Steward ‘Edmund’s’ voice rang out, and at the same time, both Edmund and the two black-robed men flew out of their metal beings.
Linley was stunned when he saw those two black-robed men through the transparent glass, “The same black-robed men who helped Lord Stoughton in the great battle half a year ago.”
At that time, there were a total of three black-robed men, one of whom died, and the remaining ground was these two.
Above Mount Petrel. This metal life stopped right here, those nearly eighty god level powerhouses when once they saw the three people who came out, they were shocked. None of them could see through …… it was obvious. These three are all upper level gods.
Especially those two black-robed people, there was also a Demon Medal on their chests! “It’s demons!” Those bandits and robbers were shocked.
They had run into an iron plate! Three Upper Level Gods. Two of them were also demons, enough to exterminate them all.
“Three lords, I’m truly sorry, we, we made a mistake.”
The one-horned, green-haired strong man said in shock.
“Hmph. Get lost. Disappear before my eyes!” Edmund shouted coldly.
“Aye. Yes!” That one-horned, green-haired strong man was overjoyed, and without hesitation, he immediately led his men in a whistling dive down. Instantly, he disappeared into the depths of Mount Petrarch below.
This scene scene is to make Lin Lei secretly sigh, this bandit land ability is really weak, but that is also for the upper gods, if it is Lin Lei three people encountered these robbers robbers will be in trouble …… after all, they are a group of god level powerhouses, the middle gods have thirty or forty this metal life to continue on.
“Hell is still really dangerous.”
Linley sighed.
“Right. We also only have a chance to enter the Emperor Winged Citylands if we follow the tribal land.”
Deborah sighed, “But Linley, there are still safe places in hell. There, there is no danger and no one dares to make a move. There. You can live a very safe life!” “Oh?” Linley was astonished.
During the time he had come to Hell, all he had seen was brutal fighting. Hell gave him the feeling that there was killing and pillaging everywhere. There were many crises. But listening to what Deborah had said, it seemed that there were still safe places.
“Right. In hell. There are ten cities in each house, and this city is the safest place.”
Deborah said solemnly. “Linley. This is also a point I must remind you of. You absolutely must not kill and strike within Emperor’s Wing City. Once caught. The consequences would be even worse than being caught by curfew, and not only would you be finished, I’m afraid our tribe would all be in trouble!” “No killing?” Linley’s heart was relieved instead.
Since this was the case. Then no one else in Emperor Wing City would be able to make a move.
It seemed that ……
Emperor Wing City really was a safe place.
“A pity. The entire Ye Murefu is a billion miles in circumference, but there are ten cities. Each city is only nearly a thousand miles in circumference, the range is too small, and it’s too costly to live in Emperor Wing City.”
Deborah shook her head and sighed.
