Episode 17: The House of Spectre Chapter 5: Baruch
Linley’s heart was relieved when he heard this middle-aged man mention the ‘Baruch family’. The ancestors of his own Baruch family had indeed come to hell. It was also true that they were here, for a time. Linley had mixed feelings.
“Right. Yes, it’s the Baruch family.” Bebe rejoiced. “Boss. Finally found it.”
“Linley.” Delia was also happy for Linley.
At the side, Olivia, O’Brien, Tarosha, Dylin, and a bunch of other people had smiles on their faces, the Baruch family. How famous it was in the Yulan Continent. And in hell. It was the first time they had heard it from someone else.
“Linley, congratulations.” Di Lin laughed.
“There’s absolutely no mistaking it now.” Hisser and the others also laughed.
Linley’s heart was joyful. From a young age, he had been taught by his family, and the deeds of the ancestors in his family. Linley knew all about it, and now he was finally able to meet those ancestors of the family ground himself.
“This lord. I’m the Baruch family, so hurry up and take me. Go see my family’s forefathers.” Linley couldn’t help but say.
“How dare you.” That Captain Izur snorted coldly.
Linley was stunned.
“What is your lordship’s status to personally take you there?” Captain Isole was displeased. The ‘newcomer’ land in front of him didn’t know about honor. “As for whether or not you’re from that Yulan branch, we can’t be completely sure until later. You shouldn’t be too happy too early.”
That middle-aged man smiled, “Isol. You run a trip yourself.” After saying that. This middle-aged man turned his head and flew away.
Isole looked coldly at Linley’s few people, “Listen up, each and every one of you. When you enter the interior of the Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range in a moment. Don’t fly around and follow me! If you bump into the senior members of the clan. If you’re blamed, I won’t be able to protect you.”
“Understood.” Linley responded.
But Linley also felt that there were strict hierarchies in this Four Divine Beasts clan.
“Follow me.” Isole flew up first. Linley and his group immediately followed. The Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range was extremely extensive, and the eastern region of this Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range land was all occupied by the clansmen of the Green Dragon Clan.
Linley and the others ascended onto the ‘Dragon Road’.
The dragon path was fifty meters wide. At the edge of the dragon path were pieces of dragon scales. The tens of thousands of miles of dragon road snaked through the rolling hills. Countless mansions and castles were built right next to the Dragon Road, and there were human figures in those mansions and castles.
“Boss. There are really a lot of people.” Bebe’s eyes darted around, “Let’s see, the population of this Green Dragon Clan. At the very least, there are at least a million of them. Boss, I remember. Your clan seems to have very few children.”
Linley smiled.
Indeed. The more powerful the race, the smaller the population.
“Perhaps the cumulative population has increased over time.” Linley said casually.
Assuming that every hundred years, a generation was born.
Each family member, or one child. Or two children, that was a long time. Assuming hundreds of millions of years, how many members would there be in the family? After all, one wouldn’t die of old age once they reached the Saint realm.
Unless one is killed.
“Give birth and live on.” Captain Isol from the ground in front spoke, “In the past. Our Four Divine Beasts family was strong and was able to shelter all of its children. The natural population grew. But now, it’s not that simple.”
Linley couldn’t help but be puzzled.
What exactly had caused the Four Divine Beasts Clan to fall into a place of decline.
“That castle is beautifully built.” Delia whispered in Linley’s ear, and Linley turned his head to look at the one that was blue all over, only through the shades of color. A castle that formed a special splendor effect that was indeed appealing.
“Remember, just fly on this dragon path. Don’t fly anywhere else.” Isole reminded.
Bebe let out a low hum. Linley couldn’t help but look at Bebe with a smile, “Bebe. This family manages to be a bit strict. It’ll be better when we return to our residence.” Linley was in a good mood right now.
“I know.” Bebe’s divine sense transmitted a voice.
As they spoke. Linley and the others, led by Isol, followed the dragon path to the entrance of a small two-story building that was very plainly constructed on a mountainside. At the entrance of this small two-story building was a white-haired old man squinting and lying comfortably on a chair.
“Hahnemann.” Isol smiled and spoke.
This white-haired old man’s eyes opened. Then he smiled and stood up, “Oh. It’s you. Isol, why did you come to my place today?”
“We just met a member with our family bloodline. Please ask for your help. Go along to check out the records.” Isol explained.
“Which one?” The white-haired old man turned his head to look at Linley and his group.
“That’s him!” Isol pointed towards Linley, who also smiled as he looked at the white-haired old man and said, “Mr. Hahnemann, my name is Linley, and I’m from the Baruch family of the Material Plane of the Yulan Continent!”
“Oh, the Baruch family? That lineage from the Yulan Continent’s land. I know.” Hahnemann raised his white eyebrows and smiled, “Our Green Dragon clan. It’s also the Redding family, almost all of the branches. All of them would consider themselves to be the ‘Redding Family’, and there are only a few branches that don’t even know their family name. They just make up their own names. Your Baruch clan is one of them.”
Linley could only smile.
The first generation of his own family, Baruch, also didn’t know about the Green Dragon clan, nor did he know that they were actually members of the Redding clan. That was what had led to the founding of the Baruch clan.
“You can report the name of the Baruch family land. I believe. You should be a member of our family.” Hahnemann shook his head helplessly. “However, the family has rules. It must be strictly inspected. So …… I’m going to be with you. Go together to meet those family seniors of yours.”
“Meet the family seniors?” Linley got a little excited.
“En, yes, need to go through them. Only then can we fully ascertain your origin.” Hahnemann then looked at Isol. “Isol, there’s nothing more for you to do here. You go and get busy. I’ll just accompany them.”
Isol nodded and immediately retreated.
“A thousand years. It’s rare to even come across a scattered family member returning once.” Hahnemann sighed. “Go. Accompany me to meet your predecessor from that branch of the earth.”
Linley even followed, but the group of people behind Linley were talking.
“The four ultimate warriors of that year, the Dragonblood Warrior ‘Baruch’. It’s been almost six thousand years since I’ve seen them.” A rare smile surfaced on Hisser’s face, “I wonder how those old guys, how are they now?”
O’Brien nodded back.
“Old guys?” Hahnemann, who was walking in front, turned around and frowned, “This Yulan continent branch, the oldest one. It’s only over six thousand years old, and it’s also called an old guy? In our family, there are countless people who have cultivated for more than a hundred million years, and this branch of the Yulan continent is the youngest branch in my Redding family. The youngest lineage.”
“The youngest lineage?”
Linley and a group of others looked at each other.
In the Yulan Continent. Thousands of years of history, that was definitely considered a long history, but in Hell. Thousands of years was considered the ‘youngest’, but compared to other branch veins. Hundreds of millions of years as a unit of comparison. It was indeed young.
“This old gentleman.” Bebe shouted, “You can see tons of castles and mansions everywhere within this mountain range.
There are so many people. Old sir, you can remember clearly. The dwellings of that lineage in the Yulan Continent?”
“Why can’t you remember clearly!”
Hahnemann glared. “Our Redding family. All the major branches, as well as the residences of the supreme powerhouses. I, Hahnemann, know it best. With my eyes closed. One can easily find anyone’s residence.”
“We’ve been flying on this Dragon Road for quite a while, why haven’t we arrived yet?” Bebe muttered.
Hahnemann couldn’t help but frown at Bebe, “Little guy in the straw hat. Of this group of people. It seems like you talk the most.”
“Bebe.” Linley whispered.
“Hmph.” Bebe let out a low hum and didn’t say anything.
Only then did Hahnemann say, “The Yulan lineage. It’s a very weak vein. These weak branches are the ones that live deep in the edges, so they have to fly farther away from the land. It hasn’t even reached 10% of the distance yet.”
The flight went on for quite a while. The number of patrolling warriors they saw on the ground alone was over 100,000 people. Linley and the others had finally arrived at their destination.
“Arrived.” Hahnemann flew directly out of the dragon path. “Follow me.”
Linley and the others had also discovered a large canyon not far from the dragon road, so Hahnemann flew directly into the canyon, and Linley and the others flew into it with him. There was a misty fog within the canyon.
During the landing process. Through the misty fog. A small building could also be vaguely seen.
“There is your Yulan vein here, as well as some other branch veins.” Hahnemann said, “The people living within this canyon. It adds up to over ten thousand.”
“Baruch!” Hahnemann steeply shouted.
“Baruch!” “Baruch!” “Baruch!” …… Only shouts could be heard echoing throughout the canyon, and Linley and his group were all startled by Hahnemann’s voice.
Descending to the flat ground of the canyon.
Only to see dozens of silhouettes flying over at great speed in the distance. The one in the lead was wearing a short sleeveless ground shirt. Highlighting his strong pecs, his brownish-black hair was draped in a messy manner. Those eyes were flowing with a refined aura.
“Haha. So it’s Mr. Hahnemann.” That brown-black messy-haired, burly big man laughed aloud.
He was also followed by a group of people behind him, which mostly had brownish-black hair. Occasionally, there were also blonde and blue haired lands.
Linley, meanwhile, stared at the man.
“He’s Baruch? The founder of my Baruch clan?” Linley’s heart felt as if it had been struck by a giant hammer. Most of these dozens of people flying over right now were male. There were also a few females.
A sense of familiarity grew in Linley’s heart at the sight of them.
“Baruch.” Hahnemann laughed, “I’m here today because there’s a son of a family land. Says he’s from the Yulan Continent. Says it’s the Baruch family land.”
Linley’s eyes glowed.
Sure enough, the person in front of him was Baruch! The founder of the Dragonblood Warrior clan!
“From the Yulan Continent?” Baruch was stunned. Then he revealed a look of ecstasy.
“Someone from the Yulan Continent? Saying that it’s our Baruch family land?” A burly and handsome youth on Baruch’s side also said. At the same time, his gaze swept over the group of people behind Hahnemann.
Seemingly aware of something, his gaze landed on Linley!
This was the resonance of bloodlines.
But Baruch’s gaze fell on someone else – Hisser!
“Hisser! It’s you?” Baruch said in surprise.
“Haha, Baruch, I didn’t realize that you old man had disappeared into obscurity and had come to hell.” Hisser laughed as well.
“Auburn?” Baruch also looked at the Martial God ‘O’Boone’.
“Baruch, long time no see.” O’Brien also greeted.
Hahnemann, however, was deliberately disgruntled, “Feeding? I came today. But I want to make sure that the person who came. Is it your family’s son. Baruch, you also cooperate. Help confirm it.”
“Oh.” Only then did Baruch respond.
“His name is Linley.” Hahnemann laughed, “He says he’s from the Baruch family land.” Said. He pointed his finger at Linley.
Immediately, Baruch, as well as the group of people behind him, all of their gazes fell on Linley, and the gazes of this group of family land seniors were all blazing at the moment. Not having gone back for thousands of years, the family juniors came they were certainly excited.
In fact. Seeing Hisser and O’Brien, Baruch was certain that the person in front of him called ‘Linley’. Should be their family descendant.
“Help confirm it.” Hahnemann said.
Baruch nodded and looked at Linley, “Linley. Right? If you’re from my Baruch family land, you should know …… about the records of successive generations of ancestors within my family’s ancestral shrine.”
Linley spoke, “Baruch. The first Dragonblood Warrior of the Yulan Continent, in the 4560th year of the Yulan Calendar, Baruch fought the Frost Dragon and the Black Dragon underneath the city of ‘Linnan City’. In the end, he killed the Frost Dragon and the Black Dragon. In the 4579th year of the Jade Orchid Calendar, Baruch fought against the Hydra Emperor on the coastline of the North Sea of the continent. On that day, the tsunami continued and the city crumbled. After a day and a night of fierce fighting, Baruch finally killed the Hydra Emperor …… and eventually established the Baruch family. Baruch is the first generation patriarch!”
“Ryan Baruch ……”
“Hazard Baruch……”
Linley said the deeds of three predecessors in succession, and Baruch, as well as the group of people behind him, all had their eyes wet with excitement.
“Right, right.” Baruch said evenly.
Baruch stepped forward and directly and violently embraced Linley in his arms, “Child, welcome back.”
