Episode 2 Growing Up Chapter 22 Proulx Hall (below)
Proulx Guild Hall.
The number one guild hall in the stone carving world, there were branches in the top few major cities in the Yulan Continent. Proulx Hall covers an extremely vast area, and most of the people who enter and exit Proulx Hall are some self-appointed and educated characters.
In Proulx Hall, if you wore a few magic diamond rings on your hands, it was expected that others would only look down on you and ridicule you for not being educated.
Art, literacy!
That’s what they’re all about here.
Admission to the Proulx Hall is one gold coin per person.
Such as mountain water tinkling music sound from the Proulx Hall came out, after listening to let a person feel a burst of peace of mind, stepped into the Proulx Hall of people in an endless stream of noblemen, noblewomen, beautiful ladies are dressed in one is very tasteful.
And the commoners would unconsciously feel ashamed of themselves in front of the Proulx Hall.
Linley’s four brothers, as well as four guards such as Cass, came directly to the square in front of the Proulx Guild Hall, but anyone with a little bit of eyesight, seeing the Ernst Academy’s standardized clothing on Linley’s four brothers, and then seeing the turquoise-eyed Thunderhawk on Cass’s shoulder, couldn’t help but all be humble in their attitudes.
“Uncle Cas, you come in with us, and the other three will wait outside.”
Yale casually commanded.
Linley’s four as well as Cass then stepped into the middle of the Proulx Guild Hall, and in the center of the hall of the Proulx Guild Hall there was a tall humanoid stone sculpture, this humanoid stone sculpture was none other than the number one person in the stone sculpture world, Grandmaster ‘Proulx’.
The entire Proulx Hall was quiet.
Almost all of the people, no matter how high the status is, talking are lowering their voices for fear of disturbing others.
The four of them, Yale, Reynolds, George, and Linley, looked at one of the stone carvings placed, and in the bottom of their hearts, they all felt that these stone carvings were indeed beautiful.
“The exhibition hall of the Proulx Guild Hall is mainly divided into three parts – the ordinary exhibition hall, the masters’ exhibition hall, and the masters’ exhibition hall. This ordinary exhibition hall, that is, some stone carving enthusiasts will send their own works to put over for anyone to taste, anyone markup, the exhibition time for a month, a month after the highest price. These works are relatively ordinary, mostly worth a few gold coins, excellent dozens of gold coins just.”
Yale smiled and introduced, “The masters’ exhibition hall is different, the masters’ exhibition hall, is divided into individual exhibition rooms, and within each individual exhibition room is the same master’s work. Generally known as a master, that’s when his stone carving prowess is recognized, and his works are generally worth around a thousand gold coins.”
“As for the master’s exhibition hall, that’s even more impressive, the entire innermost floor of the guild hall, the master’s exhibition hall contains a total of just a few master’s works, the master’s works, that’s a horrible price, just any one of them is tens of thousands of gold coins, and some of the master’s famous works are as much as hundreds of thousands of gold coins.”
Yale described in detail to the three brothers.
Linley held his breath as he listened.
A random piece of a master’s work was tens of thousands of gold coins, and to the masters of the stone carving world, money was nothing.
“But stone carving masters, they are all rare to produce a single piece, after all, they don’t want to leave a stain on themselves.”
Yale exclaimed, “A work that can be passed down to the next generation, that requires strength, talent, and a certain split second of inspiration!”
“The works in this ordinary exhibition hall just look good in appearance, let’s go to the front.”
Yale led the way in front.
Walking amongst the quiet and empty Proulx Hall, listening to the tranquilizing sound of music, Linley felt himself immersed in an ocean of art. And at this time, Derinkelwalt had come out of the Ring of the Coiled Dragon again, and Derinkelwalt also admired the stone carvings around him.
“It’s lousy, it’s lousy, what level is this, and you dare to bring it out for people to see?”
Derrin Corvette said in dissatisfaction.
“Grandpa Delin.”
Linley turned his head to look at Delinquent Corvette, “This is just the ordinary exhibition hall of the Proulx Guild Hall, there’s also the masters’ exhibition hall in front of it, and the grandmasters’ exhibition hall.”
“Proulx Guild Hall?”
Derlin Corvette was stunned, and surprisingly never spoke again.
“Grandpa Delin, Grandpa Delin?”
Linley called out a few times in his mind, seeing that Derlin Corvette was still immersed in contemplation he no longer bothered. Then he followed Yale, Reynolds, and George to the masters’ exhibition hall, the masters’ exhibition hall was really different, in the lobby of the masters’ exhibition hall, there were messages for each master as well as separate exhibition room locations.
Yale, Linley several people then entered one independent exhibition room.
Although he didn’t know enough about stone carvings, Linley clearly felt that the works of these masters were clearly different from those ordinary works outside, and seemed to have a special aura embedded within them.
As Linley immersed himself in the various works, he suddenly heard Derinkelwalt’s voice in his head again.
“Not bad, considered an introduction.”
Derinkelwalt nodded in admiration, “But compared to Proulx’s works, there’s still a huge gap.”
Linley was speechless.
“Grandpa Delin, how could they possibly be compared to Master Proulx?”
Linley shook his head and smiled bitterly, Proulx, that was the number one person in the stone carving world throughout time.
Deryn Corvette frowned, his white beard twitching in dissatisfaction, “What’s wrong? Was Proulx born a master, he also grew up step by step from an ordinary stone carver before finally becoming a true stone carving master.”
Linley was stunned.
Hearing Grandpa Delin say that, it made sense.
Once they had finished strolling through the individual exhibition rooms of each master, Linley’s four brothers headed towards the innermost ‘masters’ exhibition hall’.
“Everyone, remember, don’t reach out and touch anything while you’re in the masters’ exhibition hall, if you break it, it’ll be a disaster.”
Yale reminded.
Stepping into the Masters Showroom was peaceful.
The Masters’ Exhibition Hall was very large, but the works were very sparse, there were only a few Masters in total, and each Master only had four or five works on display. There were only a few masters in total, and each master had only four or five pieces of artwork on display. The entire expansive masters’ exhibition hall only housed twenty to thirty pieces of artwork.
Although the works were scarce, as soon as Linley and the other four saw those stone carvings, they felt a kind of spiritual aura, as if these works all contained life.
“Oh, not bad, not bad, I didn’t realize that after five or six thousand years, the skill of this stone carving work had developed to this point.”
Derinkelwalt marveled, “If they had gone further, they would probably be able to rival Proulx as well.”
Immersed in the midst of the Hall of Arts, Linley’s four even felt that their minds had been sublimated.
In the evening, at the entrance to the Ernst Academy, Linley’s four got off the carriage.
“Oldest two, oldest three, the two of you are also, I said to enjoy myself in Finlay City tonight, but you guys are …… alas, too thin-skinned, think I’ve been playing in those places since I was six years old.”
Yale still said with some indignation.
“That’s it.”
Reno also chimed in.
George and Linley looked at each other and smiled helplessly and bitterly.
“Quick, open the door!”
Riot’s anxious voice rang out.
Linley’s four couldn’t help but look to the side, only to see a curly-haired youth holding a youth whose body was stained with blood, alongside a pretty woman on the sidelines, the blood-stained youth’s face pale, while his left arm had been broken off, revealing white bones, and there were several claw marks on his chest.
“It seems that another one who went to the Magical Beast Forest to try and get injured, how many batches has this been? Coming to Ernst Academy for less than a year, but I’ve seen quite a few senior cadets who were injured because of the trials.”
Yale said casually from the side.
The Devil Beast Mountain Range, was in the east of the Holy Alliance.
In fact, the Devil Beast Mountain Range was also very close to the Ernst Academy, probably only more than a hundred miles, and generally those with better health could run from the Devil Beast Mountain Range to the Ernst Academy in half a day.
“In Ernst College, the thing I see most is the magical beasts, wow, those magical beasts have flying in the sky and running on the ground, all sorts of things. But the ones who own magical beasts are mostly the magic teachers of Ernst Academy, and a small number of senior students.”
George exclaimed.
As the four brothers walked to the entrance of the academy, suddenly – “Linley.”
A familiar voice rang out, and Linley turned his head to look, his face unable to help but reveal a look of surprise: “Uncle Hillman.”
