Episode 3: The Beast Mountain Range Chapter 3: Night in the Aqua Paradise

Time passed, and it was already the end of May.

Over the past two months, Linley had spent most of his days meditating, and some of his time on ‘sculpting’ and reading books. The library of the Ernst Academy had a vast amount of books, and in the midst of his reading, Linley’s knowledge continued to broaden.

On the morning of May 29th.

The four of them, Linley, Yale, Reynolds, and George, stood on the square in front of the Proulx Guild Hall, and three wooden crates were being placed on the carriage next to them, in these two months or so, Linley had actually completed nine stone carvings, but this first time they were sent to the Proulx Guild Hall, and Linley was only attempting to send three to see how they would turn out.

“You guys carry these three wooden crates.”

Yale commanded.

Some of the Yale family’s servants immediately lifted each of the three wooden crates.

“Old Three, follow me.”

Yale was obviously very familiar with the path, and directly walked towards the side of the Proulx Hall, the Proulx Hall covered an extremely large area, and there was also an inconspicuous door next to the main entrance that was roughly a few hundred meters away, and at the doorway there was a middle-aged man wearing a gentleman’s clothes.

When the middle-aged man saw Yale and the others walking over, he immediately walked over with a glint in his eye and saluted with a smile, “Young Master Yale, welcome to your arrival.”

Yale nodded with a smile, “You should know the purpose of my coming, this is my good brother Linley, these three stone carvings are his, where are your people from the Proulx Guild Hall warehouse, move these three wooden crates in quickly.”

“One moment.”

The middle-aged man smiled and nodded.

Soon a few porters came over from inside the passageway, the middle-aged man smiled at Linley and said, “Young Master Linley, according to the rules of our Proulx Guild Hall, we must leave a message of your identity, all you need to do is to record it for me with your Ernst College student ID.”

The student card of the Ernst Academy was sufficient proof of identity.

Linley took out the student ID from his arms.

The middle-aged man took the student ID and flipped it open, unable to help his eyes light up as he looked up at Linley in amazement, “Fifth year?”

Linley’s age was obvious at a glance, but to reach the level of a fifth grade magician at such a young age was indeed shocking enough.

Yale couldn’t help but proudly say, “This brother of mine, is one of the two greatest geniuses of our Ernst Academy, last year he was only fourteen years old, and at the end of the school year test, he reached the realm of a fifth level magician.”

Two great geniuses of Ernst Academy?

The middle-aged man immediately understood in the bottom of his heart that the future achievements of this Linley in front of him were unlimited, and his attitude was immediately much more humble. Recording Linley’s proof of identity, he made another mark in the three wooden boxes.

“Young Master Lin Lei, everything is ready, as long as Young Master Lin Lei comes over once more a month later to receive some payment.”

The middle-aged man said with a smile.

“A month later? I don’t have time after a month, is it alright to postpone it for two or three months?”

Linley inquired. In another week or two Linley would be ready to set off for the Magic Mountains, this time entering the Magic Beast Mountains was almost two months.

“There’s no rush, as long as your work is sold, you can receive your payment no matter when you come.”

The middle-aged man nodded and said.

Yale frowned and said, “Huh? What’s going on, I remember that in the past, you guys collected the stone carvings to check the interior, why don’t you check it this time?”

The middle-aged man said, “The reason for checking the inside of the wooden crates is because we are worried that some people will send broken stone carvings over, and if we didn’t check them, they are afraid that they will end up saying that the stone carvings were broken by our guild, and blackmail our guild instead. However, these three stone carvings were sent by Young Master Yale and Young Master Lin Lei you guys, I believe that people like Young Master Yale and you guys wouldn’t do something like that.”

The middle-aged man was clear in his mind.

What kind of person was Yale?

Would blackmail the Proulx Guild Hall? I’m afraid that the little amount of money that was blackmailed wasn’t enough for Yale to spend as he pleased. As for the creator of the stone sculpture, ”Linley”, he was known as one of the two greatest geniuses of the Ernst Academy, would such a character lower his status to do something like blackmail? ……

Late that night, on the third floor of the ‘Aqua Paradise’ deep within the Champs Avenue in Finlay’s East City, Linley’s few people were in an independent private room.

The night in Finlay City was very noisy.

And the night of ‘Aqua Paradise’ was the most prosperous and noisy of the day, with women’s petulant snickers and men’s boisterous laughter ringing out one after another, and the four brothers in the middle of the private room were drinking and chatting, accompanied by four clean-cut girls.

“Lao Er, Lao San, Lao Si and I will go to sleep first, you two ……”

Yale said with his arm around a girl with long green hair and a mouth full of booze.

“Alright, Boss Yale, just stop talking, okay?”

Linley interrupted Yale.

Yale and Reynolds looked at each other and gave Linley and George a look of contempt, and then Yale and Reynolds left the separate private room with one of their arms wrapped around a beautiful girl. Ever since two years ago, Linley and the others had been here often.

Usually when the Yale, Reno duo went for a quickie, Linley and Reno would at most drink and chat with the girls.

“Young master Linley, we’ve known each other for two years, yet you ……”

The green-haired girl sitting next to Linley said with some dissatisfaction.

Linley couldn’t help but have a big headache.

“Ella, if you’re tired, go back and rest, you won’t be missing a copper coin when the time comes.”

Linley could only say icily, which caused the girl named Ella to not dare to say any more, to come to Aqua Paradise and only drink, this was indeed a rare thing.

A stream of light flew out from within the Ring of the Coiled Dragon, transforming into Derin Corvette.

Derinkovot looked at Linley with a smile on his face and said teasingly, ”Yo, Linley, a woman is placed in front of you and you still have this stinky look? Alas, it’s a pity that I’m a Holy Realm Magus, but now I’m only an existence in the form of a soul, and I can’t even touch a woman if I want to. You brat, you’re still like this?”

“Grandpa Delin.”

Linley frowned and said in a dissatisfied voice transmission to Delinquent Corvette.

Delinquent Corvette bristled, “You’re the one who hasn’t tasted a woman, and when you do, it’ll probably be a different story.”

Linley turned his head towards the window, no longer paying any attention to this colorful old man Derinkelwalt, the cool air from the window blowing on his face also made Linley’s heart settle down.

“The Wraith Mountains, what exactly is it like in the Wraith Mountains?”

There was still a week or two before Linley would be leaving, and amongst the Ernst Academy, Linley had heard many legends about the Wraith Mountains, and had heard many in Derinkelwalt’s mouth as well. However, Linley had never been there. All the scenarios about the Magical Beast Mountain Range, Linley could only imagine on his own.

“One week later, prepare to depart.”

Linley made a decision in his heart as he looked at the endless night sky through the window.
