Episode 4: Dragon Blood Warriors Chapter 5: A Rose in Winter (Up)
Later that evening, Linley, Yale, and the other four walked out of a hotel, and according to the old rules the next stop would be Aqua Paradise.
“Boss Yale, you three go ahead, I’ll just stroll around first.”
Just after walking out of the hotel, Linley said.
Yale, Reno, and George all looked at Linley with some surprise.
“I don’t like the atmosphere of that Aqua Paradise very much. You guys just go ahead and I’ll meet up with you in two or three hours.”
Linley explained, while at this time, ‘Bebe’, who was standing on Linley’s shoulder, ‘squeaked’ twice while transmitting in his soul, “Boss, you’re going to Alice’s house, aren’t you.”
Bebe had been following Linley, and naturally knew about Linley’s affairs.
Don’t look at the fact that Bebe had never grown up, but this mind was catching up to the average human teenager.
“You fellow.”
Linley gave Bebe a look without a good reason.
“Alright, you’ll go out and wander around first, but don’t wander around for too long oh, we’ll be waiting for you in the old party.”
Yale laughed and said, and then Linley separated from his three best brothers and walked in the direction of Dry Mor Road.
There wasn’t much foot traffic on Dry Stranger Road, it seemed much quieter. There would also be some taverns and restaurants on both sides of the street, and most of these taverns and restaurants were filled with residents from the surrounding area.
Walked not far from Alice’s house, looked at the balcony of the small two-story building.
The balcony was still empty.
Linley smiled to himself, in the bottom of his heart he was actually only holding very small hopes, Linley immediately turned around and stepped into a nearby tavern, choosing a position by the window. Through the window, Linley could completely see the balcony of Alice’s house.
“Give me a bottle of emerald green and two wine glasses.”
Linley casually ordered a bottle of very mild wine.
“Yes, sir.”
The waiter wondered why Linley wanted two wine glasses, but he didn’t ask much.
“Bebe, drink slowly.”
Linley arrived at a cup for Bebe and placed it to the side, and Bebe immediately jumped onto the table, surprisingly following Linley’s example of slowly drinking it one sip at a time.
Linley held the wine cup, looking away in the direction of the balcony as he slowly drank.
One person and one magical beast drank slowly like this, and when it took nearly two hours to finish three bottles, Linley paid the bill and brought Bebe to get up and leave the tavern.
“Boss, aren’t you disappointed?”
Bebe said in a soul transmission as he stood on Linley’s shoulder.
Linley reached out and stroked Bebe’s little head, cursing with a laugh, “You little fellow.”
And then Linley strolled through the streets of Finlay City, walking towards Aqua Paradise while enjoying the night scenery of Finlay City.
The next day, September 30th, Linley’s four brothers left Finlay City to go back to the Ernst Magic Academy, and then just the next day in the evening Alice, Karan, and a few others returned to Finlay City.
The reason why it was such a coincidence was because the holidays at Ernst Magic Academy were different from those at Weylin Magic Academy.
At Ernst Magic Academy, the 29th and 30th of every month were holidays. On the other hand, Weylin Magic Academy and Weylin Warrior Academy had holidays on the 1st and 2nd of every month. Alice rushed back on the evening of the 30th.
Unfortunately ……
Alice was on the balcony, her hands propped up on her chin as she watched the crowds of people coming and going on the streets, occasionally some distant figure similar to Linley would make Alice excited, but whenever the figure approached, she would be disappointed.
On the afternoon of October 2nd, Alice could only helplessly return to the Magic Academy.
October 29th, on this day Linley sent three more stone sculptures to the Proulx Guild Hall, and in the evening, Linley came back to the tavern on Dry Stranger Road, choosing the same position by the window, ordering the same Emerald Green Wine, and Linley slowly drank it together with Bebe.
“Boss, it looks like you’re going to be disappointed again this time.”
Bebe’s small, ebony eyes looked towards Linley while his soul transmitted his voice and said.
“Disappointment is disappointment, it can only be considered a lack of destiny.”
Linley tilted his head and drank the small half cup in his hand, by this time, Linley and Bebe had finished two bottles of emerald green, while the balcony still hadn’t appeared with the silhouette Linley was expecting.
And the waiter on the side came over.
“One more bottle of Fei ……”
Lin Lei’s words stopped in mid-sentence, and his eyes lit up all of a sudden, staring dead center at the balcony of that small two-story building of Alice’s house. This time a girl in white appeared on the balcony.
“Checkout.”
Linley stood up abruptly.
The waiter, who was all set to get the wine, was stunned for a moment, and in a moment he reacted. After paying the bill, Linley walked directly towards the outside, and Bebe jumped from the table onto Linley’s shoulder in a flash.
At this time, it was already nearly eight o’clock in the evening, and it was somewhat dim on Dry Strand Road, which was still very sparsely populated at night because it wasn’t a main road.
“It’s Alice.”
Linley was certain in his mind.
“Wow, boss, you’ve finally met this beautiful woman, haha, you’re happy, excited, thrilled, right?”
Bebe was also on the sidelines and kept talking in triumph.
Linley didn’t care about Bebe, instead, he ran towards the courtyard wall of Alice’s house with great agility, and with a brace of his hands, he landed on the balcony after cutting through a black shadow.
Alice happened to see Linley scurrying over from the direction of the courtyard wall at this time.
“Big brother Linley.”
Alice instantly recognized it, her heart’s rate of beating increasing dramatically all of a sudden, and her face turning a little red. There was also some gratitude in Alice’s heart.
Last time, she hadn’t waited for Linley, and after returning to the Weylin Magic Academy, she had also checked and realized that the holidays at Ernst Academy were the 29th and 30th. So Alice had skipped class this time and returned two days early.
“Big brother Linley, what a coincidence.”
Alice said with a smile.
Linley was stunned, “Alice, what a coincidence indeed.”
Alice couldn’t help but smile, then she reacted by immediately pulling Linley, “Quickly sit down, don’t let the gatekeeper find out.”
Linley also sat down. The two hid under the balcony parapet and talked to each other in low voices.
Drinkwater also appeared beside them.
“Linley, Linley.”
“Grandpa Delin, is there something wrong?”
Linley was a little unhappy.
Derin Corvette laughed, “Kid, don’t talk about those borderline things with this girl, make out, you take the initiative. What an idiot. Look at this Alice’s appearance, she also has a heart for you kid.”
“No rush, no rush.”
Although Linley wasn’t too fearful of life and death, he was a little short of breath at this time.
“What a fool.”
Derinkelwalt was furious.
Linley then ignored Derinkelwalt and exclusively chatted with Alice.
Derinkovort looked at the two of them, and in the end had no choice but to turn into a stream of light and return to the middle of the Ring of Coiled Dragons, and Linley didn’t feel the slightest bit of time passing as he chatted with Alice.
“Big brother Linley, you’re so powerful, there must be a lot of girls chasing after you in the Ernst Magic Academy.”
Alice inquired in a casual manner, but asking this, Alice’s heartbeat intensified.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.”
Linley was talking to Alice, and speaking a bit without thinking.
“Idiot.”
Derinkelwalt’s voice rang out in Linley’s head.
