Episode 8: Walking a Thousand Miles Chapter 28: Sisterhood

The morning air was fresh.

Ruskin was leading two of his men quickly towards the courtyard that was arranged yesterday for Lampson and the others to live in.

“This time we can serve Lord Lampson and the others well, as long as Lampson gives a word, I guess I can be promoted to a higher position.”

Ruskin was also a little troubled in his heart, “Unfortunately, Lord Lampson and the others seem to be too cautious, not even a single attendant is allowed to enter that courtyard.”

Thinking in his heart, Ruskin walked to the courtyard door.

Ruskin stepped into the room where Lampson lived at the beginning, and frowned at a glance, the bed was still very messy obviously not organized. Also at the end of the bed were outer robes hanging.

“Not right.”

Ruskin immediately stepped into the other people’s rooms, and sure enough the beds in every room were not organized, and there were still packages on the table. If Ruskin couldn’t see that there was something wrong at this time, he was in over his head.

“There’s blood, and the adults are missing?”

Ruskin looked at the quiet and depressing courtyard, his heart was as heavy as if it was pressed with a boulder, “There was a battle here, as for the grown-ups, could it be that they chased them out?”

Sessler also nodded, “This squad is also six people. All of them are men. There should indeed be two more men inside that carriage.”

“Bebe, do you hear me, kill the two men inside the carriage.”

Linley smiled and stroked Bebe’s head.

Bebe jumped onto Linley’s shoulder. Standing upright, he raised his little head and confidently ‘squeaked’ at Linley: “Boss, when have I, Beibei, ever let you down?”

Linley smiled favorably.

“Depart.”

The sisters, Rebecca and Lina, looked down and saw a very cute little black mouse standing upright and raising its little head in a very smelly way, that stroked those whiskers very humanely with its paws.

“This is?”

Rebecca and Lina were puzzled.

Bebe immediately got annoyed, and jumped up with a flash of his body, while demonstratively waving that small claw violently, only to see two black residual shadows flashing by.

“Could it be it?”

Rebecca and Lina both understood somewhat.

Bebe had made too little noise killing people. Coupled with the fact that the carriage had been bone-crunching along, the four knights outside hadn’t even noticed.

“Ah.”

Suddenly a mournful scream came from outside.

“Roar Terrifying beast roars rang out.”
