Episode 9 – Famous Under Heaven Chapter 21 – Big Brother
The mountain wind whistled, but the two of them, Linley and Kasloth, who were walking on the mountain path, were a hundred meters away in two or three steps.
“There are eight senior brothers residing on Green Thunder Peak, and Eldest Brother his residence is on the peak of this Green Thunder Peak.”
Kasroth lamented.
In his mind, however, Kasroth was imagining the battle between Hisser and that Eldest Senior Brother more than a thousand years ago.
“Kasroth, do you know what it was like when Hisser fought your Eldest Senior Brother?”
Linley inquired.
Kasroth envied, “Back then, I hadn’t even entered the Martial God Sect during that great battle. But I’ve heard other senior brothers talk about it. That Hisser’s strength was terrifying, and he was extremely fast. Eldest brother’s speed was also the fastest amongst our brothers. It’s also just a fight with Hiese.”
“How fast?”
Linley was also good at speed.
Kasroth smiled faintly, “I don’t know, after all, I didn’t see it with my own eyes. But it’s estimated …… that it should be much faster than you, Olivia.”
Linley also understood that his normal human form today had yet to enter the Holy Realm. There was still a lot of room for improvement in strength. It was normal to not be able to compare to others right now.
The peak of Green Thunder Peak.
This peak had a space of roughly tens of meters in circumference, with some low old trees growing on the peak, some weeds, and two stone houses next to an old tree.
And at the edge of this peak, there was a man standing there, looking down.
Linley looked closely at this person, he was wearing a very plain green robe. His body was relatively thin but as straight as a benchmark, except that his hair was three inches short, and the same green-colored hair. Just by looking at his back alone, he gave off an extremely brawny and stalwart feeling.
“Eldest Senior Brother.”
Caselot respectfully said.
This man with short turquoise hair turned his head to look over, and when that gaze landed on Linley, Linley locked eyes with the other party. Yet, he felt his soul tremble.
What kind of attack was this?
Linley’s heart was astonished, and Linley was certain that if an ordinary Earth warrior, it was estimated that this Grand Master’s gaze could cause the other party’s soul to be scattered. Luckily, he had the spiritual power of a rank nine Grand Magus. “Not bad.”
This elder brother smiled and nodded, “Your name is Linley?”
“Yes.”
Linley just nodded as well.
“My name is Faun.”
The eldest senior brother smiled, “Teacher asked me to receive you first, you were able to transform by drinking dragon blood, right? Not a pure dragon blood warrior, right?”
“En?”
Linley frowned.
“I guessed so when I heard about your transformed appearance. I’ve seen your Baruch clan’s dragonblood warriors before.”
Eldest Senior Brother Fain smiled faintly.
“Yes, so what?”
Linley continued.
Eldest Senior Brother Faun sighed, “As far as I know. The Baruch family’s pure dragonblood warriors have a greater potential, while the potential of mutated dragonblood warriors born from drinking dragonblood is a bit weaker. If you are a pure dragon blood warrior, when you reach the peak of your strength. You should be able to fight me. “Even a mutated dragon blood warrior. The potential should still be stronger than you.”
Linley wasn’t satisfied with this big senior brother’s tone.
Eldest Senior Brother Faun frowned.
What kind of status did he have?
Even the Ground Rock Sword Saint Hedson, who was known as the number one powerhouse in the Holy Realm, was only a junior in Fahn’s eyes. He simply didn’t bother. The fact that Linley was contradicting him right now did make him dissatisfied.
However, thinking of the Martial God’s orders, Fahn smiled faintly and was no longer angry.
“Indeed, ultimate warriors, even if they aren’t pure, have much higher potential than normal humans.”
Faun smiled. With that, he glanced at Kasroth next to him. “Senior brother, just go back first, Linley will let me receive him for the time being.”
“Yes. Eldest senior brother.”
Kasroth said respectfully, and then he gave Linley a wink, telling him not to be too arrogant, before heading down the mountain.
Linley took a deep breath, he also understood that it was better to be humble in the Martial God Sect.
“Linley, let’s sit down and talk.”
With a wave of his hand, Eldest Senior Brother Faun waved his hand, and two wooden stools in the distance flew straight over, landing in front of Linley and himself.
Seeing this scene, Linley was puzzled.
What exactly had this Fahn executed, Linley hadn’t felt any fighting qi just now. “I heard that you rejected Lord Hodan?”
Faun smiled. Even Fahn was respectful towards Hodan. After all, Hodan was a god level expert.
“Yes.”
Linley nodded.
“Clever.”
Fahn said smilingly, “Linley, we should be grateful that we were born on the Yulan Continent.”
“Oh?”
Linley was somewhat puzzled.
Fahn continued, “Many Saint realm powerhouses have been famous for hundreds of years, and have enjoyed all the land they should have enjoyed, with most of their loved ones aging and dying. After being unattached, most of these Saint realm powerhouses went to the Supreme Plane.”
Linley nodded, he understood this point.
Materialistic life, after enjoying it for a long time, one would also grow weary. Hundreds of years passed, and loved ones who hadn’t reached the Sacred Realm Lands would naturally grow old. Unattached, they went to the Supreme Plane. It was normal.
“But those people don’t know that many strong people from the Supreme Realm want to come to the Yulan Continent Realm.”
There was a hint of a smile at the corner of Fahn’s mouth, “Linley, do you know about the matter of the strong people from the other realms descending more than five thousand years ago?”
“I’ve heard about it.”
Linley nodded.
“I didn’t expect you to even know about this.”
Fahn nodded, “Why did so many experts come to the Yulan Continent, naturally, the Yulan Continent realm had places that attracted them.”
Fahn shook his head and sighed, “Quite a few Saint Realm powerhouses, they instead ran to the Supreme Plane where there are so many experts. Instead, they’re seeking farther and nearer.”
“Linley, I just have to tell you not to rush to the Supreme Plane. Stay here, you’ll know the benefits later, as for what secrets the Yulan Continent actually has, I can’t tell you for now.”
Fahn said with a smile.
Linley looked at Faun in confusion, “Why are you telling me this?”
This sort of thing. Many Saint realm powerhouses didn’t know, so why was Fahn telling himself?
“This is what teacher instructed.”
Farn said.
“Martial God?”
Linley was puzzled in his heart.
This was already the second time the Martial God had helped himself, the first time was to directly allow His Majesty Joanne to choose Warden, and this time he was even telling himself this.
Faun suddenly said, “Linley, I’ve heard that you have good strength, you and I will spar. How about it?”
Linley’s eyes lit up and he immediately nodded.
To spar with an expert of Farn’s level was indeed powerful for himself. Linley flipped his hand and took out the purple-blooded soft sword, his feet pointing back and flying back, while black scale armor directly covered his entire body, and hideous spikes sprouted out.
Looking at Linley’s cold, dark golden pupils, Faun exclaimed in admiration, “This Mutant Dragonblood Warrior Transformation of yours seems to be very special. Come on, are you ready?”
Linley was still meditating on the Wind Shadow Technique at this time.
“Alright.”
Linley nodded.
Faun looked at the Linley in front of him, remembering his teacher’s instructions. He couldn’t help but sigh helplessly, he had taken the initiative to spar with Linley, and it was actually the Martial God’s request.
According to the Martial God’s words, it was time to let Linley know the strength of the true experts of this continent.
“Linley. I’m very fast. You have to be careful.”
Faun said with a smile, and it was precisely because Linley knew that Faun was fast that he held the Violet Blood Softsword.
When the Purple Blood Soft Sword was used, its speed was phenomenal.
“It’s starting.”
Fahn’s eyes lit up.
“Snorting,” green-colored lightning flowed across the surface of Fahn is body, even to the point of crackling in the tips of his hair.
Fain’s body moved.
Linley only felt a green-colored lightning strike directly towards him, at a speed at least twice as fast as Olivia. With this terrifying speed, Linley was simply too late to dodge.
“How terrifying!”
Linley’s foot pointed, while the purple-blooded soft sword in his hand transformed into a whirlwind all of a sudden. Countless purple sword tips stabbed directly towards the green-colored lightning in front of him.
Wind Upanishad – Windstorm Movement!
Linley didn’t dare to perform any other moves at all. It was estimated that casting Wind’s Rhythm couldn’t even touch the opponent’s body, so this was the only move that could barely manage to defend, right?
“Peng!”
A terrifying impact struck the tip of the purple-blooded soft sword.
Afterwards, Linley clearly saw that the green-colored lightning directly rushed along the purple-blooded soft sword in front of him. It directly blasted against his own black scale armor.
“Boom!”
As if a heavy punch had smashed into Linley’s soul, Linley directly flew up and spiraled down to the ground, his entire body trembling as the green-colored lightning still coursed through Linley’s body.
A sense of paralysis swept through his entire body, Linley felt that his muscles were completely powerless, even his consciousness was dazed.
It was only after a long time that Linley fully came to his senses, and the muscles of his limbs gradually gained strength. Only then did Linley stand up, incredulously looking at this Faun.
When he had fought Olivia, Linley had thought that he was already at the peak of the Holy Realm. There weren’t many people on the continent who could defeat him anymore.
However, it was only after a brief sparring session with Farn that he realized that the gap between him and Farn was too great.
Farn’s speed was twice as fast as his. Although twice as fast didn’t sound like much, but in a speed fight, slightly faster would be an advantage. Two times …… that is a completely insurmountable gap.
There is simply no way to resist. And that lightning attack, surprisingly shook his soul. That Faan also showed mercy. It didn’t really hurt himself.
“What’s wrong, can’t believe it?”
Eldest Senior Brother Fahn sat on Mudeng and said with a smile.
Linley’s heart was still a little messed up, “Although I know that you’re very strong, Mr. Farn, I didn’t expect …… me to be powerless to fight back. Mr. Farn, could it be that you’ve reached the divine level?”
No, I’m still at the peak of the Holy Realm.”
Farn shook his head.
“I’m also at the peak of the Saint realm, this ……”
Linley couldn’t understand.
Fahn laughed as he looked at Linley and sighed, “Linley, you mustn’t be blinded by the words peak Saint realm. In the eyes of experts like us, there’s no mention of peak Saint realm or not, rather, it’s all about, comprehending the Law Grounds.”
“Comprehending the fur of the Laws, according to the view of ordinary people, is the peak of the Holy Realm.”
Faun didn’t care.
Linley was stunned.
Right.
This was indeed the case, the third level of potential in Linley’s sword technique was merely utilizing the potential of heaven and earth. It didn’t even have the skin of a law.
And the Upanishads of Wind – Windstorm Movement, Wind Rhythm, and the Upanishad of Earth – were all a bit of Linley’s furtive comprehension of the two great Laws.
Indeed, it was only a comprehension of the skin.
“According to what teacher said, the elemental laws are as vast as the sea, you comprehend one drop of water and you’re still at the peak of the Saint realm, you comprehend a hundred drops and you’re still at the peak of the Saint realm. But the gap between each other is huge, huge!”
There was a hint of despondency on Faun’s face, “The elemental laws are really vast, and it is said that comprehending one percent of them is the only way to reach the Inferior God Realm.”
“And you, Olivia, comprehend not even one ten thousandth of it.”
Faun smiled and glanced at Linley, “You say, although you guys have also comprehended a little bit. But how can you compare it to someone like me who has comprehended it for thousands of years?”
Linley also understood in his heart.
No matter how genius he was, he had only comprehended it for less than a decade.
And what about others? Having comprehended for thousands of years, even if their talent wasn’t as good as his own, how could they have comprehended less than him?
“Linley, some of the Saint Realm powerhouses that are famous on the continent today, like what’s-his-name Rock Sword Saint Hedson, are only people who have been famous for less than a thousand years. And experts who have truly been cultivating for thousands of years have long since stopped caring about mundane fame and fortune, they’re all cultivating.”
Linley froze.
The Granite Sword Saint, after all, was known as the number one powerhouse in the Holy Realm.
“Some of the rankings on the continent are just some of the strongest people that people know about, the strongest people they don’t know about, do you know how strong those people are? The strong people who survived that battle more than five thousand years ago are all lurking one by one. I don’t believe that those old guys, would be willing to leave the Yulan Continent Plane.”
There was a hint of a smile at the corner of Faun’s mouth.
