Chapter 175: The Country Girl
This is normal, Allen Wilson also does not believe that the American citizens are extremely keen on the Black Lives Matter, but it is the politicians who hype similar issues and gag everyone with political correctness.
Margaret Thatcher and Reagan, who appeared in the United States at the same time, adopted a similar policy of playing chicken to go on full offense. But in reality, this chicken-blooded mode with huge after-effects did not just cause extremely negative impacts in the future, but had already tossed Britain and the United States around at the time.
When Reagan was in office in the United States, the U.S. economy was actually not very good, like a roller coaster going up and down. And the UK was far less powerful than the US, and there were massive protests almost as soon as Margaret Thatcher was in office.
With full privatization, it was a sale of everything, and almost everything was slated for privatization. The first step was the privatization of small businesses and groups in which the government owned some or most of the shares.
This was followed by the privatization of natural monopolies, such as telecommunications, energy and aviation, which began with the sale of British Telecom. The government also sold off a large number of state-owned shares in post-war public housing.
At first to the current occupants of the houses, and later to all. At the time privatization was in full swing, the United Kingdom alone had privatized one-third of the world’s total in terms of the amount of assets privatized.
Despite the obvious reduction in the state-owned portion and Margaret Thatcher’s promise that the state would no longer be a burden on the people, government spending as a percentage of GDP in Britain, which received a large amount of privatization money, remained essentially unchanged as compared to the Labour years, due to the fact that the Conservative government had to pay out huge sums of money in unemployment benefits, something that had never been done before.
At the same time that the Soviet Union has gone from being controlled by Andropov to Maphead, the number of unemployed people in Britain has reached three and a quarter million, more than twice the highest recorded in Britain since the data was recorded, a figure that had been the highest in Europe during Thatcher’s tenure.
The money Britain got from privatizing all its industries went into the hole of unemployment benefits.
Mrs. Thatcher was re-elected many times, but each victory was not a pretty one, just a relative majority. Thanks to Harold Wilson, the Labor Party has seen the hearts and minds of many of its traditional supporters turn to other parties.
But even so, the rift within Britain reached its highest point in nearly a hundred years.
Britain and the United States at the same time to play a set of seven hurt fist, came a not hurt first hurt themselves, fortunately the same period of time opponent is also a hundred years of existence, there are map head and the Chetniks of the Soviet Union, every time to show more than Britain and the United States of America more chaotic state.
Margaret, who was not yet Margaret Thatcher at this time, entered a world she had never imagined.
Not realizing that there was nothing special about her at all in the eyes of Alan Wilson, who had invited her to the party, it just didn’t show on her face.
“I say Alan, this girl is like a country girl, nothing at all appealing.” Henry shook his wine glass and tasted the young Iron Maiden with a hint of contempt on his face, “Isn’t it inappropriate to have her come to a gathering of us elites?”
“I just casually invited her, didn’t think she’d actually come!” Alan Wilson tilted his head, looked at Margaret who was quietly listening to the others’ conversation in the corner, as if he remembered something and asked, “Henry, what do you think about the women in our civil service group?”
“They’re too much of a drag to be like us.” Henry chuckled slightly, “They approach things differently, too emotional, not as rational as us. And can’t say so explicitly, either by chewing their tongue or shedding a tear.”
“Is that so?” Alan Wilson agreed with a look of realization, “Spilling the beans without shedding a tear is very unattractive.”
“Yes, women have too many prejudices, and always judge things by generalizations. All so-called thinking is one way!” Henry mocked with a helpless scowl, “Always thinks she’s particularly sensible and expects you to listen to her.”
“Wow, that’s really insightful.” Alan Wilson said with great approval, “But Henry, in a British …… democracy like ours, a woman’s vote is of equal value to a man’s. I say what if, what if sometime in the future there is a female Prime Minister of the British Empire?”
“One can only hope she doesn’t screw it up.” Henry replied without thinking, “Of course we hope that such a possibility will never arise, otherwise it would be a heavy blow to the civilization and order of the whole empire.”
Alan Wilson didn’t answer, if this civilization and order referred to civil servants, then as soon as Margaret Thatcher came to power, it was bound to be hit hard! Thinking of this Alan Wilson jerked his head back to look at Margaret and whispered, “I haven’t driven a domestic car yet.”
“What did you say?” Henry, who was clinking glasses with his friend next to him, suddenly turned his head and asked in disbelief.
“Nothing! It’s still evocative of everything during the day.” Alan Wilson made some eastward remarks and took the initiative to clink glasses with the officer of the Ministry of Finance and said, “I’ll look around, you guys take your time to chat.”
If this country girl in front of him, in the future, really became the Prime Minister of the British Empire? Then according to history, civil servants would inevitably engage in a battle with political parties.
As for the result of this infighting, according to history, it should be that the civil servant group was defeated, their authority was greatly weakened, and they almost became the mascot of the political party.
This is not good news for the inspirational and progressive Alan Wilson, as he himself is certain to be caught up in terms of his current age.
Attributed to the total collapse of the civil service, Alan Wilson felt that the problem still lay with the colonies throwing clean, take the 100,000 civil servants in British India, and the native civil servants were just over 200,000 in number. The civil servants of British India were a huge support for the civil service.
When it came to administering the colonies, it was impossible to send out these elected politicians. Even if they were sent, how many governorships in a colony are there for Congress lords?
Politicians were nothing more than a distant, conceptual mascot for the civil servants of the colonies. Politicians were known to exist, but never seen.
And not all of the colonies had politicians as governors; many of them chose military men as governors.
Once a huge colony is lost cleanly, the native civil servants are completely at a disadvantage when they fight the politicians. There was no support at all from their foreign colleagues.
Were there any other significant colonies under Margaret Thatcher? The sheep-over-people Isle of Man that was fought with Argentina?
As it is, Prime Minister Adderley has the idea of wanting to give up British India, but Alan Wilson guarantees that British India, up and down the line, has no such idea, and that the people in British India are doing fine and have no desire to return home at all.
The existence or otherwise of the colony is one aspect, Allen Wilson still feel that you can take the appropriate guidance, test the current Margaret has no such impractical ideas.
“Margaret! How do you feel?” Alan Wilson approached the domestics in his eyes with his signature hypocritical expression.
“They talk too formal.” Margaret said with a vague sense of excitement despite saying so, “But it’s been an interesting experience and has expanded my insights.”
Alan Wilson of course understood in his heart that the few colleagues sitting here were not formal at all. Rather, they were unfamiliar with this country girl, and seeing a stranger here, their hearts might have been annoyed.
What could a group of men sitting together talk about? Don’t look at all the cornerstones of the country in Whitehall, and talk about things related to the lower third. Now a stranger is sitting here, we can not talk about the wind and moon, only talk about elegance how can it work?
Fortunately, Alan Wilson was understanding and fully understood the embarrassment of a few colleagues from the Department of Indian Affairs, and attracted Margaret’s attention, “It’s not like what people think, our usual work is just very boring, take me for example, every day is just dealing with paper and pen.”
Alan Wilson stepped back into the role of life coach, catching Margaret’s attention and making the unpopular country girl turn, the hand hidden behind her back making a veiled gesture of apology to her coworker.
Since he had come over to himself, he had to deal with the Iron Maiden’s questions, and when he came across a pointed question, which Alan Wilson was not at liberty to answer, he compared it with another.
I have to say that the keyboard warrior’s rich knowledge reserves, and let Allen Wilson find the initiative, and even finally explored to the interpersonal relationship above.
In just a few words Alan Wilson had already judged that Margaret’s interpersonal relationships, especially with women, should be extremely bad, and male relationships are not much better, of course, compared to the relationship with women, it is still considered to be passable.
True to form, the person who was capped to see the annoyance, so far Alan Wilson is known to have a bad relationship with the Queen, a bad relationship with the citizens, and a bad relationship with their children.
Margaret Thatcher, like Reagan, was a former member of the Know It All King, never a mountain of opponents, just supporters of the special, never recognized as being popular.
It’s just that the two caught up with an era where there was still a fold, King Know It All’s era was a bit sadder, externally there were no great opponents like the Gothic map or the Khitans, and internally the demographics at home were already shifting unfavorably to the native whites.
“If you are interested in politics there will be many opportunities in the future, you are a girl don’t stay out too late.” Alan Wilson spoke with a gentlemanly demeanor, “I’ll take you back to school, do you live in school or go home.”
The future Iron Lady got into Allen Wilson’s car, and it wasn’t completely uneventful in the process.
Allen Wilson Prime drove the car to his home, causing Margaret to be startled, and just as her mind was disturbed, Allen Wilson made a trip into his room and came back out again, “Sorry to pick up a little something, I’ll take you home now.”
The reason for the intentional trip home was simple, to let Margaret recognize this as her home, so that if the opportunity arose later, she would let her guard down about the place.
