It’s just anti-Soviet, and since the Germans can be anti-Soviet, it’s not impossible to add the Yugoslavs to the mix. The remnants of Mihailovich’s forces were themselves Tito’s enemies, the enemies of the Soviet Union.

As to whether a meeting between Mikhailovich and Patton would achieve the desired result. This matter does not worry Alan Wilson, either success or failure, encountered General Patton kind of war maniac, at least there is the possibility of a hot head to take in.

If you run into a general with a brain like Eisenhower, these people who are destined to be liquidated in their own right have even less of a chance.

There was simply no other way to do it than to expect Patton to be willing to take these men in for the sake of waging war against the Soviet Union.

At least that’s what Alan Wilson thought, and on the other side George and the Yugoslav delegate negotiating on behalf of Tito, in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, recalled the friendship between the two sides in the course of the fight against German aggression.

“Liaison Officer, our negotiations with Tito’s representatives have turned out quite well, but there is one point where the Yugoslavs have made it very difficult for us to make conditions, or to inform us of the operations we are carrying out.” George had also just finished the part he was responsible for and met up with Alan Wilson immediately after finishing.

Allen Wilson put his hands in his pockets, a brain of question marks asked, “What’s the problem, what to do shall not go through the process, my British Empire has its own national conditions here, the country has a system, what’s wrong with taking some time? As long as the final result is good not on the line?”

Alan Wilson also thought that his side of the stalling attempts, has been found by the Yugoslavians, the heart is angry, the British Empire at least in 1945 is still ringing the big three, British India is not yet independent. A Yugoslavia are out to look for trouble, really think that the Indians will never surrender until their blood runs dry is a joke?

“Liaison Officer, it’s not that. It’s that Yugoslavia is currently disenfranchising the German population, which they want to drive back to Germany or Austria. This is already in progress.” As soon as George heard that, he knew that Alan Wilson had misunderstood and explained, “There may be over a hundred thousand people involved.”

“Ah!” Allen Wilson’s eyes dripped open as he thought for a moment, “That’s a tragedy.”

Trying to squeeze out a crocodile tear, he unfortunately failed. After World War II, given that Germany had started two world wars in the space of thirty years, and that World War II had resulted in a joint occupation by four nations, the whole country had been a complete failure.

In this great aura of political correctness, there was a movement across Europe to drive out the Germanic peoples. The liquidation of France was mild among them all; after all, there weren’t many Germans in France.

Outside of Western Europe, the expulsions were even more violent. In the eyes of Eastern Europeans, World War II was started by the Germans, and the entire Germanic nation had to take the blame for it, forcing millions of German citizens to migrate back to Germany from other European countries during the latter stages of World War II and at the end of the war.

That was just the beginning, the deportation campaign didn’t come to an end until the fifties, totaling tens of millions of deported Germans in all.

“Liaison Officer, are we reporting the situation here to London.” George saw Alan Wilson’s silence and softly began to beckon, “It seems as if the German population of Yugoslavia is quite large.”

“Quite a few? Over half a million people. Of course we must report to London at once, and we must sternly refuse the deportation of the Yugoslavs, it’s a big trouble.” It was impossible for Alan Wilson to think what had become of the British-occupied territories directly in front of Austria once they were confronted with the Yugoslavian campaign to expel the Teutons, but he could vaguely feel that a cauldron seemed to be waiting in front of him.

Whenever you can faint, not at this time! Alan Wilson righteously said, “This is a Soviet problem, let the Yugoslavs communicate with the Soviets, the Soviet Union occupies such a large piece of Soviet-occupied territory it.”

How many Germanic people died, he absolutely will not sympathize, who let you start a world war, and lost the war? It’s all a foregone conclusion, but it can’t affect the current British-occupied zone.

Yugoslavia is not the same system as the USSR, go find your big brother. It’s not like Austria didn’t have a Soviet-occupied zone!

Such a complex situation, Alan Wilson of course, in the report to London, focusing on the difficulties mentioned. Instead of the matter of the Yugoslavian Fatherland Army, to prepare for the possible confusion of the future to dump.

Half a million Germans were mentioned, first of all, because the number was large enough, and Allen Wilson did not know how many of the remnants of the Yugoslav Fatherland Army, as well as other organizations, were in the constant stream. But even if there was a steady stream, a couple hundred thousand or three hundred thousand would be tops.

If Allen Wilson could make a stand to Yugoslavia and stop this half-million Teutons from pouring into the British-occupied territories, and instead make it a problem for them to become Soviets, that would be a credit.

And wouldn’t that have been good for the Soviet Union? The fact that the GDR had been suppressed by the FRG actually had something to do with the constant loss of population from the GDR, and the Soviet Union should be thankful for increasing the strength of the German Soviet-occupied zone and even the GDR in the future.

The report was telegraphed to London, checked by MI6, and passed to the Cabinet Secretary’s office in Whitehall.

Knock knock! Edward Bridges looked up and said, “Come in!”

“Edward, what gives you the time to call me in for a chat?” Norman Brooke pushed his way in and sat directly across from Edward Bridges and asked, “What’s come up?”

“You remember the little civil servant who was very close to General Mountbatten, don’t you? He’s in Austria now!” Edward Bridges shrugged his shoulders and handed the file to Norman Brooke and took a deep breath, “I don’t know if it’s because of his work in British India or what, it could be that he’s confused Europe with Indians who can only do what they’re told. Anyway, he seems to be feeling self-conscious about solving a tough problem right now.”

“Oh?” Norman Brooke looked through the papers and nodded in agreement, “Maybe you have a point, there are two main problems, some pre-war pro-British remnants of the Fatherland Army, and the other is a much bigger problem, the opening of a movement in Yugoslavia to liquidate the Germans, to be honest it seems as though there are movements like this all over Europe and especially in Eastern Europe, and on a much larger scale in Eastern Germany.”

“But that’s Soviet-occupied territory over there, and Yugoslavia is directly next to British-occupied territory.” Edward Bridges leaned back in his chair, “The Prime Minister is suggesting the same thing as I am, for the remnants of the Fatherland Army can take in some of them. But the Teutons cleared by Yugoslavia must not enter the British occupied zone, that is a Soviet problem.”

“This little civil servant has a pretty good sense of that.” In the blink of an eye Norman Brooke finished reading the document and nodded his head in approval, “It’s not good to stay honestly in Berlin, having to face such tricky things.”
