Chapter 908 – Capital’s Restlessness
“Will Grace have trouble with you if she knows I’m around.” Waiting for Grace to leave, Hedy Lamarr tiptoed out of the bedroom and looked at Alan Wilson with worry.
“Look at those soft eyes.” Reaching out and tugging on Hedy Lamarr’s cheek, Allen Wilson blandly consoled, “Don’t worry, he knows my handle and I know his, having some of each other’s shortcomings clutched in each other’s hands. It helps to build long-lasting connections.”
“You’re not comforting me.” Hedy Lamarr lowered her head, “You’re a government official, if word gets out there must be repercussions, I’m not worried about myself, the public actually despise movie stars in their hearts.”
“Where to say. Who can not have troubles.” Alan Wilson kissed the woman’s forehead, “People like to look at you with unblinking eyes, like your mirror in general, but they actually can’t see the real you, instead, they can only see their own lewd side, but in turn, they say that you are frivolous and slutty.”
Hedy Lamarr listened to the crystals in her eyes, these words simply hit the softest place in her heart.
Alan Wilson put in the most vulnerable stage of Hedy Lamarr in his arms for a long time, the heart of Marilyn Monroe said a confession, said the words were borrowed by himself, should not be too much.
Marilyn Monroe, like Joan Crawford, was a big star who had risen from the bottom of the heap, but apparently she was even more difficult to get hold of than Joan Crawford, to the point where, after decades, no one had yet figured out the cause of her death.
“Kennedy? There’s not much time left to utilize.” Alan Wilson’s mind calculated how much time was left to be utilized by Britain; Eisenhower’s term would certainly not be uneventful, but the real trouble was Kennedy.
The Republicans are obviously much more predictable than the Democrats, and while the Republicans may hover between center-left and center-right if you go by the political spectrum, the Democrats are awesome and can go from one extreme to the other.
And the Democrats know how to be and stand for something, always wrapping up unsuspecting purposes in a justifiable manner.
Once Kennedy was in power, the U.S. was sure to see a wave of general reorientation that would do more than just pick on the Soviet Union. The Nassau Conference was called when Kennedy was president.
“You’d better think about how to live.” Allen Wilson’s gaze seemed to have seen the convertible.
Although there was little reason for it, Allen Wilson felt that right away the United States would be hammering away at Britain.
Once this economic crisis his plan was really a big success, not only was the UK not affected, but it also grew against the trend. This could draw the attention of the United States, and it might be thought that there is a possibility of a resurgence of the British Empire.
This concern, though not much justified, is perfectly reasonable from a country’s perspective. The fact that the United States had done it showed that the country knew how to live in peace.
If he could have chosen, he would have wished that Britain had the treatment of a republic, where any progress was seen as invisible. Any small moves were ignored by Washington, but the America of today is not the United States of America of a few decades from now, where communities are torn apart and citizens are addicted to information cocoons.
The United States, only in its infancy, is still carefully guarding its hard-won position of world supremacy. Keeping a dead eye on the momentum-boosting Soviet Union, while preventing a resurgence of the British Empire.
There is reason to suspect that the U.S. will start hammering the U.K. as soon as it shows signs of revival.
Luckily, no matter what, the United States will not solve the problem with war, otherwise, with the circumstances that Britain is in, there is really no way out, and sometimes it is better to think about the freedom of being an ally of the United States than to be an enemy of the United States.
From Moore Loston where to get about the North Sea oil exploration and reserves estimation report, Allen Wilson put into the intense work, borrowed from the Nigerian Autonomous Dominion officials, changed out of an authoritative certification with professionalism.
The Gulf of Guinea is the second Persian Gulf, from the geology and plate has and Persian Gulf mind characteristics, the report almost hundreds of pages, condensed overseas officials hard sweat.
When the report was in the hands of Moore-Loston, he could not help but open his eyes to the impudence of the bureaucracy, “Mr. Wilson, no matter how much you make the document look like a fake, the Mountbatten group will suffer a great loss if there is no oil.”
“Pamela is completely covered. This loss is bearable.” Alan Wilson thought to himself that he still didn’t know his wife’s stature?
Not to mention one Gulf of Guinea oil project, even ten more would be able to withstand it.
A company in the middle of the need for Moore Loston to stick to his guns at the top, on another occasion, Allen Wilson would have expressed his appreciation for him, but not now.
The Nigerian Autonomous Territories had a shortfall in funding and he had assured that he did not need Cabinet funding.
Nigeria autonomous territory has a population of 40 million people, not only a hundred thousand citizens of Newfoundland, he mobilized a number of hard-working Chinese sweating, wipe out the liabilities on the finish, so big huge population destined to require a large amount of money in order to move forward with the plan.
He could have used the autonomous territories’ books to top up the first wave of development costs first, and ramped up the timber output in the borrowed Niger Delta, but that wouldn’t necessarily have been enough.
Releasing fake news about oil exploration and borrowing from private lobbyists to fuel his plans was the only viable option.
If it was a small, unknown company that released a report on oil exploration in the Gulf of Guinea, it would never have caused such a stir. But for the Mountbatten Group to solemnly bring out this report is completely different.
It is now known that the Mountbatten Group has discovered Libyan oil, Algerian oil, North Sea oil, and Timor Island oil and gas zones in just under ten years. As well as iron ore in Western Australia.
With an amazing success rate in exploration, the known confirmed failure is the temporary failure of marine exploration in Newfoundland. The reason for this temporary failure is that the department of Newfoundland exploration has never been abolished.
Such results almost gave birth to conspiracy theories because Pamela Mountbatten’s parents came from the British high command. Many wondered if the British had long ago found traces of said resources in the colonies, but had just kept drawing them out.
Perth, the capital of Western Australia, Pamela Mountbatten held a cup of black tea and listened to the man in front of her introduce his intentions, “Sydney, it’s not easy to make the trip to Perth from the mainland, is it? In fact, ask about the Gulf of Guinea and send a telegram. Or just ask my husband, he is in Lagos and knows it much better than I do.”
“Pamela, your husband is a Whitehall official, I wouldn’t dare give away the bottom by asking too much.” Sydney Montague said with a cherubic look on his face, “In fact, all you have to do is tell me, does the Gulf of Guinea really have the potential to become the Persian Gulf? And why do you reason to use this for financing?”
“Money can’t be made all by one person.” Pamela Mountbatten red a sip of black tea, her other hand holding her somewhat bulging belly, “The entire aristocracy is facing, the threat of high inheritance taxes. It’s a threat to all of us, we all need a good financing program, relying on Newfoundland alone doesn’t always escape government scrutiny. We need a good industrial program to put money into.”
“There’s no doubt that the Gulf of Guinea is such a project, and it can be a win-win situation with the country.”
“You are fine with that, like us families, whose wealth depends a lot on land on the mainland.” Sydney Montague let out a bitter laugh, “It seems like you’re almost ready to be based in Australia, it’s a pain in the ass to try and see you once now.”
“Technology has changed the world, it’s not hard to make a plane over.” Putting down the tea cup, Pamela Mountbatten smiled and said, “Sydney, in fact, your purpose is to want to ask whether it is worth investing in, you represent not one person, but a lot of groups that need a project to invest in foreign investment, if you want to ask what is appropriate, the Niger River Delta is in the midst of the Autonomous Territories planning, and definitely needs to establish an oil refining center, think of a way on this. ”
“Allen is pushing for the development of the Niger River Delta, if you guys made a move earlier, now is the right time.”
“Oh, Alan makes the policy plans and you mobilize the financial support, to say nothing of the marriage between the two of you.” Sydney Montague sighed, then said, “Since you said that you can’t personally follow up on the investment in Nigeria for a while because of too many projects to follow up on, then it’s up to us to raise the capital funds, your share is definitely not less.”
“Thank you on behalf of my husband.” Pamela Mountbatten raised her cup of black tea in salute, “I’m not too physically able to do so, or else I really would have made the trip myself. But I’m sure it’s just as well to have everyone’s help.”
Sydney Montague nodded and then left the room, his personal trip to Perth was an expression of importance, and with Pamela Mountbatten’s promise, he would naturally return immediately.
In a few moments the Princess Margaret came in, asking as she went, “What is the heir of the Duke of Manchester doing here?”
“On behalf of the other families, wanting a share in the Gulf of Guinea oil.” Pamela Mountbatten guffawed, others don’t understand, how could she not know, the so called Gulf of Guinea oil, at least for now, there is not even a drop at all ……
“They are really greedy.” Princess Margaret bristled, normally one hated to leave the castle, but now they came all the way to Perth, eating a little hard.
“This is a second Persian Gulf.” Pamela Mountbatten rose slowly and walked over to the telephone and picked up the receiver and instructed, “Send me a telegram to Lagos and say that the Duke of Manchester has inquired about the Guinean oil project. That’s all; my husband will find out without taking up too much substance.”
The Mountbatten Group was now capable of causing agitation in British capital by the mere release of a message; such was the influence of the Group now that in a few days Alan Wilson became steeply busy. One by one, the heirs of the dukes and earls hanging, visited Lagos, ready for the development of the Niger Delta, to play a leading role in the aristocracy.
