“What you’re saying can’t be true, can it?”
In a flash, Leonard suddenly raised the inexplicable question in front of me.
“The crown prince bastard and you ……!”
“Leonard!”
I nervously looked at Leonard, whose voice had gotten louder, and was startled.
Cursing the crown prince in the palace!
Surely not your average guy. Fortunately, early in the morning, we were the only ones wandering around the hunting grounds of the Duke’s house. As if sobering up, Leonard immediately closed his mouth and said carefully.
“Is …… that guy really in such a relationship with you?
“By the way, what is that kind of relationship?”
“I’m not in the mood for your jokes right now.”
I really don’t know so I asked. Leonard said with trepidation.
“In the hunting grounds, where there are stories about the crown prince and you! Did you know that?”
“What exactly did you say at the Inquisition? The truth, isn’t it? Hmm?”
Leonard had a strong look on his face, restraining the desire to shake me right away, his face all tangled up. I answered truthfully.
“Uh-huh. No.”
“Whew. ……”
Probably relieved, he sighed deeply and scratched his head. Then mumbled in annoyance.
“Damn, why are there such rumors ……”
“If there’s a rumor about a secret meeting in the forest, it’s true.”
“…… What?”
But soon, after hearing my added words, Leonard’s hand ruffling his pink hair stopped. He asked with a surprised look.
“What do you …… you mean by that?”
“Literally. Met alone in the forest. Chased by assassins together, I think.” I shrugged and answered vaguely.
I expected someone to ask if that was true. I could truthfully say it was made up to avoid Marquis Ellen’s suspicion, but I didn’t want to do that to anyone other than the Duke.
“You …… just tell me straight.”
Leonard clenched his teeth and asked me in a grim voice.
“You were stabbed by that kid last time, and you’ve been trembling since you got back. What secret meeting with that guy.”
I frowned at the guy’s whispered words.
“His Highness and I had something to say, so we met alone.”
“What do you want to say?”
“It’s fine if you don’t know something like that.”
There wasn’t really any conversation, so there was nothing to tell.
“Put away your barking and speak truthfully. You said you had a fetish, again!”
“Has it spread so quickly?”
Nobles who value their honor are such a fast-talking bunch.
I smacked my lips at the rumor that spread in one night. Then with a deep sigh, I opened my mouth.
“…… That was just made up to support the secret meeting.”
Having resolved not to explain everything, I sighed and spoke the truth. Before the yes or no answer came out, I didn’t want to make it up at all, and I didn’t want to be tied to the Crown Prince with “adoration”.
As soon as I finished speaking, he immediately asked.
“But why did you meet with that boy? Wanna get stabbed with a knife again and go crazy?”
I looked around again and reminded him.
“Watch what you say.”
Didn’t want to start this war of attrition from the morning. Therefore, I said somewhat wearily.
“…… And saying you met him by chance wouldn’t be believed anyway.”
“I’m not like my brother.”
“…… What?”
“If you say you didn’t shoot the nobleman, I’ll soon believe it.”
Next, I repeated Leonard’s words again.
“Unlike my brother, it will be believed.”
It was only this time that the words were unbelievable, and I erupted into twisted laughter.
“Don’t lie, would you believe me?”
“No. You’re no different than that Derrick man, would have stood up and sold me out. The Duke’s two sons will just push me over the edge when they get beaten, won’t they.”
“Am I, am I not at all happy?”
At my cold sight, Leonard stopped raging and began to panic. Then mumbled aimlessly.
“Even if you’re stupid, you won’t go crazy once the ban is lifted.”
“Besides, you, for fear of another incident, don’t like hunting matches.”
I looked back at Leonard.
To be exact, I didn’t want to meet all the male leads. I thought I didn’t show it. It was a little surprising that he, unlike the others, had an accurate picture of my state.
“So, be honest with me. You’re not really like that, are you? Hmm?”
As if he noticed me focused in my own thoughts, Leonard asked again in a low voice.
“No? I’ll help you put the rumors to rest.”
“…… Yeah. Not a secret meeting or anything like that.”
Lost. Facing Leonard with an attitude of trying to convince me, I finally told the truth.
“By chance, I met with the Crown Prince who was passing by, and it’s hard to quell suspicions with boring words like that, so I think that’s the only excuse.” That was the end of it.
“Little fool! I wish I had said that earlier. What was that about, letting someone worry so much.” As soon as I finished speaking, Leonard said reassuringly.
“That’s it.”
I couldn’t speak for a moment when one of the guys didn’t believe me. I swallowed a bitter complaint with effort.
“…… Yeah. You can’t be like that with that guy.”
Leonard mumbled reassuringly to himself several times during this. I muttered a question.
“Did you call me just to confirm this?”
“What just. What a serious issue this is, stinky girl!”
Leonard shouted at me with a frown. I was surprised that while it was a serious problem, was it also a serious problem for him?
If the Crown Prince couldn’t wake up within a day, I would be the only one to clean up the mess.
“Wasn’t it because of that that you called?”
As if sensing my disgruntled sight, Leonard roughly rummaged around in his arms.
“Here, take this.”
He suddenly pulled something out and handed it to me. A small, wide pill container, something I’d seen a day ago.
“What are you doing, don’t take it yet.”
Quietly looking down, he waved his hand carelessly. I froze and took the medicine tube he handed me.
“It’s a bigger wound than the night before. It’s stupid, doesn’t it even hurt?”
He smacked his lips and spoke foul. Wynter had noticed at a glance yesterday as well, so it did seem like the wound had gotten bigger. I touch around my neck awkwardly.
“Is it serious?”
“Don’t touch. I’ll get mad.”
He smacked his lips to stop me, so I lowered my hand.
“Tsk. Don’t forget to apply it carefully when you go to live in the palace. Don’t be polite, and be sure to come to the medical clinic sometime. Got it?”
“I will. Thank you for your concern, Leonard.”
I nodded obediently. Then after a moment’s hesitation, he adds.
“…… willing to trust me as well. The only person who says things like that is my brother.”
Just telling it like it is. Suddenly Leonard’s face reddened for a moment.
“Why are you saying that?”
He suddenly burst into a rage and immediately left from my side without saying hello.
Really, patience doesn’t have to be said with actions, right?
[Favorability 40%]
Looking at the pink hair that quickly disappeared in front of me, I pouted.

There was nothing uncomfortable about living in the palace. Except for Emily, the palace attendants served very sincerely and prepared good food for every meal.
Most importantly, no matter what I do, there are no restrictions on where I can go.
”Richer than the Duke’s family, right?”
On the third day, while returning from the palace’s bookstore, this thought suddenly came to me.
There was no one in the vicinity of the book vault, it was very silent. In addition, the huge book vault was filled with my favorite books. Thanks to it, I’ve dabbled in quite a few books about ancient wizards and Baltar mythology.
I moved my feet briskly, clutching the borrowed book about the Aquinas Islands.
The path was familiar by now. Guards surrounded the entrance with murderous intent, and I passed easily enough to see the man who had emerged from the building with the councilor.
“Public Lady! Are you here today as well?”
The Crown Prince’s assistant just came in and asked, seemingly pleased to see me. Nodding my head to accept the greeting, I asked straight away.
“How is it today?”
“Breathing is stable, it seems hopeful.”
“Excellent.”
It was good news. In fact, it was nerve-wracking to hear that I was in a tight spot two nights ago.
“But there’s no additional antidote yet, so we still have to wait a few more days.”
“…… Yes?”
“…… go in and take a look?”
Looking at me who answered tediously, the Crown Prince’s assistant asked quietly. I didn’t know what news had reached me, but the way I was looked at every time I came to the Crown Prince’s Palace was marvelous.
“It’s only ten minutes before it comes out.”
I said without moving.
“Okay.”
The assistant gave a meaningful smile and made way for me.
Contrary to rumors, I have no special relationship with the Crown Prince. Today is no exception, just stay for ten minutes. After that time it’s a quick escape.
