Chapter 0148 – Nine Patients, Ten Wards
Chen Ge pushed open the door to the bathroom on the first floor, the mirrors on the walls were covered by black cloth, and the cubicle door panels were sealed.
”Visitors visit all during the day, the blood door in the mirror only appears at twelve o’clock at night, it’s impossible for the two to run into each other under normal circumstances. However, we can’t rule out the possibility of people with bad intentions entering the haunted house late at night and accidentally opening the door to the compartment, like Zhang Peng at the beginning.” Chen Ge removed the black cloth and stood in front of the mirror.
He didn’t know anything about the blood-colored world behind the mirror, and he wasn’t even too clear about the reason why the door was formed, let alone going to close or destroy the door in the mirror.
”My parents had said that the door to the third sickbay had been opened again, which means that the door was originally closed, and there is a possibility that a way to close the door is hidden in the third sickbay. If the door in the third sick building is the same as the blood door in the mirror, then this trial mission is even more important to me.”
Chen Ge kept watch until twelve o’clock midnight, and at the instant the needle crossed zero, the bloody room door in the mirror appeared right on time.
Within a short minute, all sorts of strange sounds emanated from the compartment, and compared to before, more things seemed to have wandered around the door.
”Perhaps when I return from the third sick bay, I can completely close this bloody door in the bathroom.”
Back in the staff lounge, Chen Ge had no desire to sleep as he sat on a chair, holding a pen to list the things he needed to prepare for tomorrow’s live broadcast.
”Perpetually blood-stained butcher knives, live roosters, table salt ……”
Deleting and revising until 1:50 a.m., Chen Ge was still sitting at the table, he couldn’t feel sleepy, he had to look at his watch every few minutes, and there was a trace of unspeakable emotions spreading in his heart.
”It’s still not safe, the difficulty of the three-star horror scene should be several times that of the two-star Twilight Sun Middle School, and I’m going in alone, I have to be prepared for anything.” Chen Ge checked the precautions he had written down on the white paper, and before he could see the end, his cell phone suddenly vibrated.
”It’s already almost two o’clock, who would call me at this hour?”
Chen Ge picked up his phone, glanced at the caller ID, and immediately put it through, “Dr. Gao? You’re looking for me?”
”I’m very sorry to bother you at this late hour.” Dr. Gao politely said, then went straight to the point: “I asked for Wang Shenglong’s previous consultation records and case lists from Wang Shenglong’s father, and compared them to our internal patient database, and found a strange thing.”
”What is it?” Chen Ge perked up, it must be something important that could make Dr. Gao make a special call late at night.
”This Wang Shenglong is actually very dangerous, he was even involved in a murder at a very young age.”
”Murder?!” Chen Ge couldn’t believe that that stupid fat kid would go and do such a thing.
”Listen to me, this matter is very odd.” The sound of tapping on the keyboard came from the other side of the phone, and Dr. Gao seemed to be querying something in the computer, “Wang Shenglong first went to a hospital to receive treatment when he was six years old, and the hospital he went to was called the Third Mental Disease Rehabilitation Center, which is a private hospital that operates under a public banner, located in a remote suburb, and it was closed down four or five years ago. ”
”I heard Wang Hailong talk about this hospital, their family was poor at the time, and the Third Hospital was relatively close to their home, so they received treatment there, this shouldn’t have anything to do with the murder, right?” Chen Ge said over the phone.
”When he was first admitted to the hospital, the six-year-old Wang Shenglong showed strong and extreme emotions, he couldn’t control himself and attacked the doctors and his family.”
”Even if a six year old child displays strong aggression, it doesn’t pose much of a threat to adults, right?”
”I was thinking the same thing as you, but the information shows that the boy bit off a finger of a patient in the same ward when he went crazy. I have pictures here, do you want to take a look?” Dr. Gao passed over a picture that didn’t even have a mosaic on it.
Chen Ge glanced at it; it was a case report, which rated Wang Shenglong as dangerous and recommended that he be quarantined for the time being.
”Injury is just the beginning, the hospital sent the six-year-old Wang Shenglong to the third closed ward to protect the safety of the other patients, and what happens further on is even more horrifying.” Dr. Gao moused the screen, picked a few pages that could be displayed and did not involve patient privacy, and sent them to Chen Ge through the social platform, “In the second month after Wang Shenglong was admitted to the closed ward, a tragic murder occurred in the third closed ward, and a nurse on duty was killed. After the police investigated the scene, they determined that the murderer was not a single person, and that the murder was most likely a joint effort of all the patients in the third closed ward!”
”The patients teamed up to kill the nurse?” The things that Dr. Gao said were related to the third ward, and these were all internal information, so Chen Ge listened very carefully, “Dr. Gao, can you tell me more about this case.”
”I don’t know the exact process, I’m just a doctor and not a police officer.”
”Then you should be able to find information about the other patients in the third closed ward, right?” All the information related to the third ward, Chen Ge wanted to know.
”Why are you asking about this?”
”Mere curiosity, don’t worry, I definitely won’t leak anything.”
Chen Ge grinded for half a day before Dr. Gao finally agreed.
”In the Third Mental Disease Rehabilitation Center’s Third Ward Block, there are a total of ten wards housing nine patients, all of these people are dangerous to a certain extent, so they’re being treated in isolation.”
”The one living in Ward One is Wang Shenglong, diagnosed with Happy Puppet Syndrome, also known as Angel Syndrome, the signs of which include frequent fits of laughter, spasticity, lack of speech, and mental retardation. He is the youngest in Closed Ward Three and has the lowest risk factor.”
”Ward Two housed a woman with her name blotted out and no photograph, with only a tattered case sheet remaining in the file. She suffers from severe depression triggered by Dowling Gray Syndrome, the disease is characterized by excessive concern for herself, extensive use of cosmetics, multiple cosmetic procedures, and a great fear of the natural aging of the human body, many female celebrities suffer from a similar disease.”
”Ward three of the third ward building is an empty room, and I’m not sure if there’s a patient living inside or not.”
Hearing this, Chen Ge suddenly thought of the note left to him by his parents, which specifically named the third room in the third sick building, “Not being able to find any records doesn’t necessarily mean that there are no patients inside, this sick room has a big problem!”
”You have a point, but the numbering of the sick rooms is based on the level of danger, even if there are patients inside it’s not considered to be the particularly dangerous kind, maybe it’s a negligence on the part of the hospital.” Dr. Gao took a sip of tea and continued.
”The patient in ward number four lost an arm due to an accident, and he got phantom limb syndrome as a result. After having an amputation surgery, he felt that the limb was still growing on his body, and he could even feel hot and cold and pain and itching.”
