The passageway was long, the walls on both sides were painted white, and every few meters you could see a rusty iron door with a yellowed seal that seemed to be some years old.

”I didn’t really notice it the first few times I came in, this seems to be a passageway for transporting corpses.”

Some medical schools have passages that specialize in transporting corpses, this special passage is usually underground, the ground is flat and convenient for carts to push, in addition there is also a distinctive feature is that the walls will be painted with a layer of white paint, other than that there won’t be any extra decoration.

”Don’t look, hurry up and go over to the storehouse.” Liu Xianxian tugged on Ma Ying’s arm and took the phone into the middle of the passageway on the right.

On the left was the corpse warehouse, while on the right was the ordinary warehouse where all sorts of miscellaneous items and eliminated equipment were placed.

The two of them walked along the passageway for a long time, when Ma Ying suddenly heard what sounded like footsteps behind her, she hurriedly stopped and used her cell phone to shine the light behind her.

  ”Ying? What’s wrong with you?”

”There seems to be someone following us behind.” Ma Ying wasn’t too sure, and when she went to listen carefully, the footsteps seemed to have disappeared again.

”Could you have misheard it?” Liu Xianxian squeezed out an ugly smile on her face, revealing a smile in the face of fear had become a habit for her.

”Let’s talk about it in the warehouse first, this passageway is straight ahead without even a place to hide.”

Accelerating their pace, Ma Ying and Liu Xianxian quickly walked to the first corner, where there was a scarred wooden door.

The lock was severely damaged, various black engravings remained on the door panel, and the most baffling thing was that two words – Paradise – had been written on the top of the door by who knows who.

”Strange, when I left last time, I clearly remembered closing the door myself.”

The door to the room was half open, as if someone had gone in while they were gone.

”Be careful.” Ma Ying’s hands forcefully opened the wooden door, and she stopped at the doorway, not going in the first time.

This girl seemed to be big-headed, but in fact, she was rough and meticulous, she picked up her cell phone and shone it towards the interior of the house, sweeping through the rows of shelves and not finding anything unusual.

”Let’s both stay together this time, don’t act separately.” Ma Ying took care of Liu Xianxian and walked ahead by herself.

The school building had been sealed off for many years, and this warehouse should logically have not had anyone come in for a long time, but strangely enough there was very little dust inside, as if someone would come in and clean it every once in a while.

Most of the miscellaneous items in the entire Jiujiang Forensic Science Institute were piled up here, stuffed to the brim with all sorts of weird and wonderful things.

The shelves were lined with all sorts of bottles and jars, some of which were soaked in a viscous orange-red liquid, as if organ specimens had been preserved before.

There were many such things, if a normal person came in, they might be scared and directly turn their heads away, but as students of the College of Forensic Medicine, Ma Ying and Liu Xianxian didn’t find these things scary.

Walking through the middle of the shelves, it’s a bit more chaotic inside, with fire extinguishers, broken copiers and computers in the corners, tables, chairs and benches stacked on top of each other, all sorts of messy reports stuffed in the drawers, and some broken sports equipment thrown in between the chair gaps.

Further in, there were unused costumes from the drama club, used drawing boards and easels from the painting club, and a whole lot of useless items.

When Jiujiang Medical University moved to the new campus, most of the discarded items cleared out were piled up and stuffed to the brim.

”I inquired with the counselor of the new campus, before Jiujiang Medical University moved away, a few clubs handed over things that were difficult to carry and were not willing to throw away to the school to dispose of, and the school put all of those things into the underground warehouse in order to save trouble.” Ma Ying walked ahead alone, she took her cell phone and began to rummage through a pile of miscellaneous items, “The only thing that our medical school can use for sculptures should be the art club, let’s focus on finding this area tonight.”

Walking out a few steps away, Ma Ying realized that Liu Xianxian was still frozen in place, “What’s wrong with you?”

  ”Look at that.”

Liu Xianxian points to the computer in the corner, the plug behind the monitor is now plugged into the wall socket, “I found the plug plugged into the socket when I came in last time, I was worried about the short-circuit causing a fire, and I purposely unplugged it, but as a result, this plug is now being plugged into the socket again.”

”It seems that someone did come in, could it be a thief?”

”A thief shouldn’t be bored enough to run this place to play with the computer, right? Besides, this computer is a model that was phased out a few years ago, so it’s probably unusable now.” Liu Xianxian pressed the display switch, and after a while, something that surprised her happened, the display started up normally.

The screen was flooded with a cold light, and the screen seemed to be stuck, it never loaded.

”Leave it alone, find something first, even if someone comes in that won’t affect us much.” Ma Ying turned away and ran to the place where the drawing boards and easels were piled up, moving the amateur looking paintings to one side to look for any sculptures that might be there.

Liu Xianxian stood still and didn’t move, she looked at the computer screen and didn’t know if it was a malfunction or what, the outline of a person could be vaguely seen in the screen.

She leaned over to the front of the screen, and the outline of that person gradually became clearer, it seemed to be a male, bald, and his face was going to be swollen by a circle compared to a normal person.

”Liu Xian, come help!” Ma Ying shouted, holding up a very heavy easel.

”Okay.” Liu Xianxian casually pulled out the pins and walked over to Ma Ying’s side, holding up the side of the easel.

The two of them worked together to move the few easels that were in the way out of the way, and a wooden cabinet was placed against the wall behind them.

”There’s likely something hidden inside this cabinet.” Ma Ying said and went to open the door, but her fingertips immediately retracted when they just touched the cabinet door.

  ”What’s wrong?”

”There seems to be something stained on that.” Ma Ying rubbed her fingers and put them under her nose, “Why is there formalin on the cabinet door handle?”

There was formalin on the stairs outside, which could still be explained as someone else accidentally spilling it, but there was formalin on the cabinet door behind the easel, which was too strange.

”Could it be that there is a large body teacher hidden in the cabinet?”

Ma Ying’s heart raced and she felt a little out of breath, she made enough mental preparations to open the cabinet door a crack.

Looking along the slit towards the inside, there was no body in the cabinet, only a few paintings.

Relieved, Ma Ying took out those paintings, but when she saw the contents of the paintings, her heart clenched hard again.

The paintings were somewhat abstract, depicting scenes of medical students during the dissection of a corpse, but the weird thing was that the painting was drawn from the perspective of the corpse.

Lying on the cold table, looking at the tightly wrapped medical student next to him, looking at the knife in his hand, and finally looking at his own body.

The whole painting contains a special emotion, which is a kind of envy for life, envy for the delicate and elastic skin, envy for the flexible and soft limbs, envy for the fact that he can go and have everything instead of lying on the test bench at the mercy of others.
