The nine diaries may seem like a plethora of content, but in reality they are interconnected and are just describing one thing.
A new patient moved into ward 0049, and that afternoon, patient 0049 was ready to kill that new patient.
It was the would-be murderer personality who made the move, and the reason was simply because of the pungent stench that constantly emanated from the new patient’s body.
It was only after he had done so that he realized that the new patient was not a human being at all, but only a monster wrapped in the trappings of a corpse.
He tries many ways but is unable to kill the new patient until the doctor comes and stops him.
Normally when a patient acts dangerously they are punished, but this was an exception, the doctor simply asked about the process and left.
The nine personalities were discussing it together at night, and just as they were getting to the thick of the argument, the potential murderer personality started to go on a self-mutilation spree, where he was going to do the same thing he had done with the new patient all over again with himself.
The other eight personalities didn’t know what he was suddenly committing and couldn’t stop the murderer personality from harming the shared flesh, so they decided to team up and swallow the murderer personality.
After the murderer personality was taken out, the remaining eight personalities began to search for the cause, and eventually they realized that all the problems were with the new patient.
In order to protect their bodies from harm, the psychiatrist personality and the lawyer personality used the oldest middle-aged man personality as bait for their test, and they accidentally discovered the new patient’s horrible ability – curse.
As long as the new patient uttered words, there was a certain probability that they would become reality.
After repeated tests they became even more frightened, the words that came out of the new patient’s mouth, the more vicious, desperate and cruel they were the more likely they were to come true, on the contrary, the beautiful and happy contents never came true.
The surviving personalities decided not to mess with the New Patient anymore, but unfortunately it was already too late, from the moment the murderer personality did it, the New Patient started cursing them all.
With every personality that died, the stench from the new patient became one point stronger, which seemed to be the price for using the curse.
After reading these nine diaries, Chen Ge’s biggest gain was knowing the ability of the Underworld Fetus, all the curses that came out of its mouth had the potential to become reality, and the more malevolent they were, the higher the probability of their realization.
