A+ A- Turn Off Light

A red Ferrari was traveling on the road.

The traffic was heavy at noon, and the Ferrari wasn’t driving very fast.

Not far behind the Ferrari was a black Dodge.

Luke laughed, “Luckily this is not a suburb, otherwise I’m afraid we won’t be able to accomplish our mission.”

David said, “I can keep up just as well in the suburbs.”

Luke snickered, “Too fast is not a good thing.”

“FUCK, have you caught the Marcus bug lately, full of unhealthy stuff.”

“There’s nothing wrong with Marcus, he lives every day with style and a smile on his face.” Luke felt that he wasn’t just being influenced by Marcus, but equally by David.

Take last night for example, he had actually pulled a gun on a dog, which in the past he would have likely put up with.

NO.

When Luke thought about it, he didn’t think he was being influenced by these two, but more because he had been changed by his surroundings.

There’s nothing wrong with that really, at least living a more dashing life, living out his own self.

“Luke, have you spotted Maguire Hari’s car?” Susan’s voice came over the intercom.

“Yes, we’re following the red Ferrari.”

“Don’t follow too closely, Marcus and Jenny will follow at the next intersection, followed by the Vice team and Ramon, three cars cross tracking.”

“Roger that.”

After an intersection, David reduced his speed.

Marcus’ car followed from behind.

Luke grinned, “Suddenly it feels like a blockbuster movie.”

David shook his head, not as optimistic as Luke, “You don’t get hurt making a movie.”

Luke didn’t bother to answer, he felt that David was living too depressing a life and had forgotten the instinct to find happiness.

After another intersection, Marcus’s car turned into another lane and Ramon drove up to follow.

The black Dodge followed a little behind.

Not long into the trail, Susan’s voice sounded again over the intercom, “Maguire’s stopped, no one is allowed to get out of the car, Maguire’s seen you.

I’ll send patrolmen to keep an eye on Maguire Hari.

Your targets are the people he’s dealing with, understood?”

“Yes, captain.”

The red Ferrari was parked on the plaza curb.

The black Dodge was also parked a short distance away.

Luke looked through the window and saw Maguire Hari get out of the car, holding a cell phone in his left hand and carrying a travel bag in his right.

Maguire Hari seemed a little nervous, looking left and right as he walked along the square.

After walking about a few dozen meters, he stopped by a plastic trash can, and after a few moments, put the travel bag in the trash can.

After that, once again, he looked left and right on the phone, as if arguing with the person on the cell phone again, before returning to his Ferrari after a while.

The intercom went off again, and Susan barked, “In a few moments, when Maguire Hari leaves the plaza, the patrolmen will pull him over, and the vice squad and Ramon will interrogate him.

Everyone else keep an eye on that travel bag, the person who took it is probably the suspect target.”

David continued to keep watch in the car as Luke got out of the car and wandered around the plaza seemingly casually, but in fact kept his eyes on the direction of the trash can.

After a while, a homeless man wearing a ducktail hat walked over to the trash can and plopped down on it to rummage for items.

Not long after, the homeless man took the travel bag out of the trash can, the whole person’s state was a bit different, his face showed an excited expression, his eyes kept looking around, his right hand clutched the strap of the travel bag dead center, and he left quickly towards the east side of the square.

Marcus asked over the intercom, “Captain, should we take action?”

Susan responded, “The square is too empty and there may be other suspects around, we can’t arrest him here or the other suspects will likely abscond.

Wait for him to leave the square before waiting for an opportunity to arrest him.”

On the square, the homeless man carried his travel bag all the way east, and Luke and the others trailed past.

A Toyota on the side of the road, the door opened, Susan stepped down with a heavy face, and she was under a lot of pressure.

Both can not be arrested too early so that the suspect’s accomplices alerted and absconded, but also worried that the homeless man will escape the police tracking.

Although the order to wait for an opportunity to make an arrest had been given, Susan was uneasy and followed.

There was a subway station on the east side of the square.

Luke guessed that the homeless man would probably enter the subway station to abscond and hurriedly reported, “Captain, the suspect might enter the subway station.”

Susan no longer hesitated, “Once he enters the subway station directly implement the arrest.”

“Yes, captain.”

The homeless man entered the subway entrance with a trot.

Luke, David, Marcus, and Jenny followed, and the net of arrests began to shrink.

Susan was about to follow when her cell phone rang, “Ringing ……”

Pressing the answer button, “Lieutenant, what’s up?”

“We intercepted Maguire Hari, I’m taking his statement, the situation may not be quite what we thought.”

Susan frowned slightly, “Got the wrong guy?”

“No.

The travel bag did contain money, but it wasn’t hire money that Maguire Hari gave, it was ransom money.”

“I’m on my way.” Susan hung up her cell phone and turned to leave the subway station.

She trusted Luke and David and the others to catch the suspect.

Inside the subway station.

The homeless man seemed to be aware of it and walked faster and faster as he entered the subway station, craning his head back from time to time.

David knew he couldn’t wait any longer and gave a gesture of action, giving the order to arrest.

The homeless man ran down the stairs and into a waiting section of cars.

David commanded, “Luke, you keep an eye out.

Marcus, Jenny and I will go in with you and arrest the suspect.”

David entered from the front carriage, Marcus and Jenny from the rear, both meeting and rounding up the homeless man in the center.

The three of them got closer and closer, and were less than two meters away from the homeless man.

The hobo leaned against the iron pillar, head down, as if he didn’t notice.

Just then the car door was about to close, the homeless man without warning out of the car door.

David rushed over and tried to grab the other man, but the car was too crowded for him to rush out in time.

The hobo got out of the car and made a point of looking into the compartment, grinning at the corners of his mouth.

“LAPD! Drop the traveling bag and put your hands up!” Luke was already waiting outside the wagon with his gun in both hands.

The hobo took a look at Luke and showed a panicked look.

The surrounding passengers also rushed around in fear.

Others took out their cell phones to take pictures.

“LAPD, we are investigating a major criminal case, no photos, no random publication, once the leakage of the case may cause huge losses to the society, you will also face prosecution and huge compensation.”

Luke’s words were still useful, many people put down their cell phones.

Even if someone had taken a picture, they probably wouldn’t dare to post it online at will.

The homeless man half squatted his body and prepared to put down his travel bag.

“Slow down, don’t make any unnecessary movements.” Luke’s gaze was fixed on him.

Just as the travel bag was about to hit the ground, the homeless man threw his hands forward violently, slamming the travel bag into Luke, turned around and ran.

Luke shouted to a traffic cop who had rushed to support him, “Keep an eye on this travel bag, I’m going to catch that bastard.”

As he spoke, Luke had already rushed out, and the subway station was crowded with people posing some difficulty in making an arrest.

Luke was agile and gradually closed the distance between him and the homeless man.

Grabbing the homeless man’s clothes, the homeless man turned around and slammed his fist into Luke’s face.

He sidestepped and swung his right fist to counter.

The two men wrestled together, Luke being agile and landing a few hard punches.

The homeless man wrapped a hand around Luke’s waist, as if trying to wrestle him down, and used his hand to grab the gun at his waist.

In a moment of urgency, Luke knocked the homeless man down with two straight elbow strikes, grabbed his arms and subdued him with a takedown grappling technique.

It was a relief to twist his hands behind his back and handcuff him.

Miranda warnings were then read.

After doing all this, Luke was already tired and sweating, secretly, he still had to strengthen his own fighting skills, if he let the suspect touch the gun just now, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Although the United States is flooded with guns, there are some situations where the police can’t shoot.

For example, in the case just now, the suspect was bent on escaping and had no weapon in his hand, Luke couldn’t shoot him in the back and had to choose close combat to subdue him.

At this time, combat skills are especially important.

Luke can fight better than ordinary people, but compared to professional fighters, he may not last more than a few rounds.

There’s room for upward mobility and a lot of potential in grappling ability.
