Daniz was startled and blurted out:

  ”Sorry for the interruption ……”

Before the words left his mouth, he was already reaching out and pulling the handle with his palm, dragging the door of the room towards where he was.

  Bang!

The wooden door closed before his eyes with a sound that echoed through the hallway.

It wasn’t until then that Daniz finally reacted:

  ”What was I doing?

  ”What is Anderson doing?”

He reflexively removed the black gloves, frowned for a while, and finally decided to just return to his room, pack his bags, and prepare to leave.

As for what exactly Anderson was trying to do, he was curious, but he always felt that there was something wrong with it, and intended to stay out of it, lest he fall into a trap.

The captain said to remain in awe of the unknown, so I have to stay away …… Danez was just about to turn his body when he suddenly heard the sound of the lock cylinder being twisted and saw the wooden door open backward.

Anderson, with his shirt unbuttoned at the hem, stepped out with the short, black, lightless blade and looked at Danitz with a slightly complicated expression:

”You won’t try to stop me?”

Daniz, keenly smelling the opportunity for mockery, instantly hemmed and hawed:

  ”It is your freedom.

”If you hadn’t made a will, I’d be rich!”

Anderson raised a hand and rubbed his cheek:

”Aren’t you curious as to what has happened to me?”

Daniz looked at him twice suspiciously:

”It always feels like you’re plotting.”

  Anderson chuckled:

”It’s like this, I was captured earlier and put into a strange plasma soaked with a variety of materials, and after a long period of erosion, they formed a strange ‘cocoon’ inside my body, which would have an effect on ‘Hunter ‘ pathway’s high sequence powerhouses with a certain attraction.”

As he spoke, he pointed to the small of his back.

  Daniz listened in awe:

”I’ve never really heard of such a thing.

”If you had switched genders, maybe I would have thought you were pregnant. ……”

He paused for a moment and said:

”That strange guy in Resurrection Square before, was he lured by that baby, no, ‘cocoon’, in your stomach?”

Seeing Anderson nodding in the affirmative, Daniz gestured his hands:

”Did you just try to cut open your abdomen yourself and take out that ‘cocoon’?”

  Anderson replied sincerely:

”Yes. I’m worried that it might affect my body or attract another demigod, and I intend to take the time to solve this hidden danger.”

Daniz thought for a moment and asked suspiciously:

”Then why did you stop trying again?

”Forgot to make a will and wanted me to be a witness?”

Anderson’s cheek muscles twitched and he chuckled:

”Not bad, your Provocateur magic potion should have been thoroughly digested.”

  He turned and sighed:

”After careful analysis, I think there should be no way to take it out directly, otherwise, they wouldn’t have had to immerse me in blood plasma at that time and let the material erode a little bit, they could have completely cut open my abdomen, put the ‘cocoon’ in, and then sewed it up.”

Not waiting for Daniz to respond, he mused as he did so:

”Don’t you have Gelman Sparrow’s contact information? He’s been through a lot and has a lot of knowledge, I’d like to ask him for any solutions to similar problems.”

One of the things that Danez was very afraid of in these recent months was being told that he was related to Germaine Sparrow, and subconsciously retorted:

”No! I haven’t seen him since he left the ‘Golden Dream’!”

The corner of Anderson’s mouth hooked up a little and said:

”When you wrote to Germaine Sparrow earlier, I was right next to him and saw his messenger.”

Daniz’s expression froze on his face, and he forced a smile after a few seconds:

”Then why didn’t you just summon his messenger?”

Anderson raised his hand once more, touched his throat, and chuckled:

”I don’t know the ritual for summoning his messenger.”

Still feeling that Anderson was scheming, and unwilling to let the other man confirm that he and Germaine Sparrow were frequently in contact, Danitz suggested instead:

”Actually, this kind of thing, you can totally seek help from our captain, she is knowledgeable, good at researching, masters many kinds of secret arts, and can also ask for assistance from the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, she should be able to give a solution to the ‘cocoon’ in your belly.

”Haha, if you’re embarrassed, I can speak to her for you.”

As soon as his words fell, he saw the smile on Anderson’s face instantly become more prevalent, and heard the other party respond rather quickly:

  ”Okay, that’s it!

”I’ve packed my bags, when can I leave?”

”……” Danez froze for a few seconds, always feeling like he’d been punked by Anderson again.

He returned to his room, drank the rest of his beer, and quickly threw various miscellaneous items into his suitcase, leaving only a sun-dried leaf with a golden pattern.

It was a token of Danez’s previous connection with the men of the dominant Uttar Pradesh general, General Mesangyes, and as per Germaine Sparrow’s instructions, he left the leaf in his room to be dealt with by those in charge of the later steps.

  ……

Inside the room where Danez had retreated, the candle was suddenly lit, raising a crimson flame over two meters high.

Amidst the stream of flames, a silhouette walked out, wearing a silk bowler hat, black formal dress, gray sideburns, deep blue eyes, mature temperament and outstanding looks, it was Klein who had turned into the appearance of Dawn Dantes.

After picking up the piece of dried leaves with golden lines, Klein left the inn and went around the side of the closed Resurrection Square to the core area of Kukwa City, the White Feather Square.

It was here that the general’s residence of Mesangyes was located, next to a downward-facing church of the dead.

As a standard Ruin gentleman, Dontaeus had a disjointed and incompatible feeling as he walked through the city, where foreigners were so few and far between, almost the only ones that could be seen regularly were around the Jubilee Square, where a few of the major consulates were located, and for the rest of the city, the people who came and went were basically the local Bailangs.

Their skin color is brownish, their hair is black and curly, their silhouette is soft, and in the eyes of many people in the North Continent, under the same gender, there is only a difference between tall and short, fat and thin, and they look quite consistent.

These natives, both men and women, like to smoke the East Bailang tobacco, which is made from sun-dried tobacco leaves wrapped directly in herbs, and along the way, Klein could occasionally see the residents gulping in the smoke outside the roadside gate.

In addition, a large number of them will hang a kind of fruit called “Darawa” in the waist.

This fruit is two fists in size, the skin is very thick, after digging a small hole to eat the pulp, can be used to fill the water and wine to fill a variety of beverages.

According to Klein’s observation, most of what they drank was orange-colored “Guadal”, which is sweet and sour, quenching the heat and quenching the thirst, extremely refreshing.

I didn’t even have time to try it before …… Klein grunted and found the guards on duty at the general’s residence, asking to see a man called Haggis.

Based on his Rune appearance and gentlemanly dress, the guards didn’t refuse or make things difficult for him, parted with one man and went in to call out a man who was less than thirty.

The man’s features and complexion were of the standard Byronic variety, but his slightly curly black hair was pulled straight and brushed back neatly, as if in imitation of the upper class of the Northern Continent’s nations.

He was dressed in a white shirt, black vest, and a very formal bow tie, and as soon as he saw Dawn Dantes, he spoke in standard Rune:

”Good afternoon, I am Haggis, and it is an honor to meet you.”

His accent was a bit odd, unlike the style of speech in any part of Rune.

Klein had at least lived in high society for a while, and was not surprised to hear that, smiling slightly:

”Good afternoon, I’m Dawn Dantes, I didn’t expect to meet a gentleman skilled in the use of Rune’s noble accent here.”

Haggis could hardly hide a smile:

”Many of the children of the noble families of Ruun have come to East and West Byron in search of opportunities, and I have had the honor of learning the language from several of them.”

”Oh, there might be some I recognize.” Klein wasn’t in a hurry to talk business at all, and exchanged pleasantries with the other party in a gentlemanly manner.

  Haggis laughed:

”My friend, Colonel Alfred Hall, is the second son of an earl.”

Hall …… Klein laughed softly and said:

”I once met Earl Hall at a charity gala, and he is a true aristocrat.

”What a small world this is.”

  Haggis nodded in agreement:

”It may be fate. Unfortunately, Alfred was transferred to East Byron last year.”

Without further ado, he immediately invited Dawn Dantes to enter the general’s residence.

As he passed through the side door, Klein suddenly looked up and glanced at the various colored glass pieces set above the door frame.

Those glass pieces shimmered with different lights under the sunlight, as if a line of sight was moving.
