Lightning once again illuminated the barren plains filled with gray and yellow mist, illuminating the place where the angelic battle had just taken place, illuminating the calm smile on Klein’s face.

Amon watched him for several seconds, pushed up his monocle, and smiled:

”Couldn’t you have said it differently?

”You seem to have found new hope?”

Klein’s smile remained unchanged and he clenched his fist against the end of his nose, sticking one hand in his pocket:

”I just suddenly figured out something, the fact that it’s your essence that’s playing this game doesn’t make one despair, quite the contrary, it shows that there’s no way you can just steal away my destiny.”

”Oh?” Amon chuckled and let out a tone of voice that seemed to be rather looking forward to what Klein was going to say next.

Klein let out a laugh, not half faltering:

”Otherwise, just after entering the God Forsaken Land, you would have just stolen away my destiny and become the new owner of the ‘Source Castle’, even if you wanted to play a game of escape and interception, you could have waited until the main objective was accomplished, in that case, you would not have endured any risk, while I lost the chance to be resurrected and Having lost my original destiny, driven by the instinct to survive, I will try even harder to escape.

”It is true that it is possible for the ‘God of Mischief’ to do something that pursues excitement regardless of the risk, but you are still the ‘God of Fraud’.”

At this point, Klein glanced at Amon’s expression that hadn’t changed much and paused for a moment:

”I know you really do have the extraordinary ability to steal other people’s destinies, but just because you can do something doesn’t mean you’ll do it; it requires weighing the risks, weighing the pros and cons, and analyzing the gains and losses.

”I think you don’t want to steal my destiny directly, that would burden you with everything the ‘Source Castle’ brings, having to go against the shadow of its original owner’s resurrection, even for an angel king like you, it’s a very dangerous thing to do, something that can lead to a fall if you’re not careful, so you want to find a loophole where you can get the ‘Source Fortress’ without having to bear the negative repercussions, and that requires my ‘permission’.”

When saying this, what Klein associated it with was the experience of getting hit by viruses a few times in his last life playing with computers, those viruses would always disguise themselves as all sorts of normal things, tricking you into clicking on them and making a ‘permission’.

This was inexplicably similar to the current situation.

After listening to Klein’s words, Amon looked at him and didn’t say anything, but just held up his crystal monocle with a calm face.

Klein spread a smile and continued:

”From the moment you ‘parasitized’ me, you were committing a massive fraud, giving the option of becoming your favored one while telling me that your essence could withstand my fate, leaving me with a heavy psychological burden.

”For the rest of the journey, you kept showing me hope and destroying it, giving time limits from time to time so that I unconsciously seized the opportunity to catch my breath, and then violently shortening the trip to disrupt my arrangements, and finally revealing the card that you are your own being, and knocking me into the abyss of despair, thus destroying my will and breaking down my psychological defenses, so that I would completely break down and choose to become your favorites and ‘agree’ to that potential ‘deal’.”

After listening quietly, Amon suddenly let out a laugh, raised his hands, and gently applauded:

  ”Perfect reasoning.

”However, you seem to have left out one question.

”I’m talking about meeting my essence and going to a safe enough place before taking away your destiny, and right now, we haven’t arrived at our final destination yet, so I’m certainly not going to risk trying.”

Klein’s expression sank slightly, then relaxed:

”I’m looking forward to what will be different there.”

He responded to Amon’s words with Amon’s gesture.

That true-to-life King of Angels squared his monocle and pointed sideways with a smile:

”Soon, we’ll be there in less than half a day.”

”How long exactly?” Klein instinctively lacked trust in the more vague descriptions coming out of Amon’s mouth.

Amon scratched his chin and grinned:

  ”Half an hour.”

Klein looked sideways in the direction Amon had just pointed, only to see that the darkness was so deep that he couldn’t see anything.

A bolt of lightning streaked across, illuminating the barren plain, but in the distance was a much denser gray and yellow mist.

  ……

Bakerland, Queens, inside the luxurious villa of the Earl of Hall’s family.

After two days of chaos, Audrey’s life has finally regained some peace, which makes her more and more curious about the hidden truth of the King’s assassination.

Considering that Mr. “Fool” seemed to have hinted that today’s tarot meeting might be canceled, Audrey decided to pray to this being in advance, and contacted Germaine “The World” Sparrow to try to figure out the corresponding situation.

She simply glanced at Suzie, and the big blonde dog immediately stepped out of the room, closed the door with her leg, and crouched outside.

Audrey sat down familiarly, assumed a prayer position, and chanted in a low voice in ancient Hermetic:

”Fools not of this age ……”

  ……

Inside a two-bedroom rental house in Birkeland, East End.

”You said there would be a party today? Didn’t even make a formal announcement ……” Forsyth pulled out his lady’s pocket watch and pressed it open to look at it.

  Hugh shook his head:

  ”I don’t know.”

Foerth sat up a little and left his place, pacing back and forth in a slightly agitated manner, muttering:

”No feedback from Mr. ‘World’ and no response from Mr. ‘Fool’ ……”

Saying that, Fools suddenly looked at his best friend who was eating ham meat and spoke sharply:

”Hugh, why don’t you try praying to Mr. ‘Fool’ and just ask if the party is on schedule today.”

Hugh frowned slightly, put down his fork, and nodded:

  ”Good.”

She, too, found the current situation a bit odd.

After crossing her arms and resting them against her chin, Hugh took a breath and spoke in a low voice:

”Fools who do not belong to this era ……”

  ……

Berkland, North, St. Samuel’s Church underground, somewhere in the room behind the Charnis Gate.

Emlyn White woke up, rather puzzled by the dream he had just had.

He seemed to be dreaming of Lilith, the Blood Patriarch!

In the dream, he was trapped inside an old castle full of red vines and couldn’t escape.

Later, he saw the Crimson Moon outside through a narrow window high above, and saw a pair of huge bat feathers that covered half of the red moon.

In the legends of the Blood, this was one of the symbols of the ancient god Lilith.

Immediately afterward, so excited that he flew high into the air and tried to open the narrow window, Emlyn found a tarot card at the base of the glass.

The face of that tarot card depicted a young man in splendid clothing, wearing a splendid headdress, a cane over his shoulder, luggage hanging from the end of the cane, and a small dog tugging behind him.

  ”The Fool” card.

The dream woke Emlyn up naturally, and as a Blood Viscount, he had the basic ability to analyze dreams:

”It must be my current situation that caused this dream to appear, that ‘star’ surprisingly never sent me some human blood ……

”I really am the object of the Patriarch’s favor ……k is suggesting that I must get help from Mr. ‘Fool’ to get out of my predicament?

”What day of the week is it today? Never mind, let’s just pray so we can get out as early as possible.” Emlyn hopefully rolled over and sat up, chanting rather reverently:

”Fools not of this age ……”

  ……

Above the gray mist, the three crimson stars corresponding to “Justice”, “Judgment” and “Moon” began to expand and contract, emitting light and creating ripples.

They merged into the crimson “tide” that already existed, causing the vibration of the entire mysterious space to instantly intensify.

In the midst of the vibrations, the “tidal wave” flooded the ancient and majestic palace, causing one mysterious symbol after another to be lit up behind the eight seats on both sides of the long bronze table.

This brought a new glow and a new vibration, accompanied by a buzzing sound.

At the top of the mottled table, behind the seat belonging to the “Fool”, a complex symbol consisting of half of the “Twisted Thread” and half of the “Pupil-less Eye” continued to stretch outward, becoming layered and extremely complex. The complex symbols consisting of half of the “Twisted Line” and half of the “Pupil-less Eye” continued to stretch outward, becoming layered and three-dimensional.

The crimson “tide” was attracted to the high-backed chair of the “Fool”, and a “figure” coalesced on it.

This “silhouette” was not solid enough, sometimes distorted, sometimes scattered, and difficult to really take shape.

On the barren plains filled with gray and yellow mist, Klein’s footsteps paused for a moment, and he looked up at the lightning that crossed the sky.

He instantly retracted his gaze, carrying a leather lantern and following Amon’s flank as he delved deeper into the barren plains where he could not see the end of the line.

The further one person and one angel king traveled, the more gullies in the ground became more and more exaggerated in depth.

About ten or so minutes later, as another bolt of lightning broke through the sky, Klein saw a tens of meters tall greenish-black Cyclops hovering not far away.

His body was covered with traces of decay and pus, and his eyes were sunken and lifeless, so it was clear that he had lost his life long ago.

However, he was still wandering, his body filled with grayish-yellow gas, intertwining into clouds in mid-air, creating a mist in the wasteland.

The grayish-yellow mist that enveloped this endless wilderness was surprisingly all brought by this greenish-black giant!

”The youngest son of the Giant King Olmir, the ‘God of Honor’ Bradel, k openly cursed my father and suffered punishment, wandering here forever, of course, k died long ago in the ‘Cataclysm’, but he still hasn’t been able to be relief.” Amon pointed at the greenish-black Cyclops and said with a smile, “If I hadn’t stolen the appropriate damage, you would have been contaminated by the mist created by Bradl’s death as soon as you entered this plain, and become a wandering accursed one.”

Do I even have to say thank you? Klein suddenly had the feeling of walking right into the myth again.

Amon led him and continued on, soon approaching the greenish-black Cyclops.

There was an extremely deep gully where this giant was hovering, and between the lightning strokes, the bottom of the place vaguely showed a thick, wide, grayish-white building.

Klein just glanced at it, and his eyelids fluttered slightly, remembering the image he saw when he divined the “Darknessless Cross”.

If he remembered correctly, this should be the place where the ancient sun god, the creator of Silver City, the father of Amon and Adam, came out!

This was the place that Amon said was safe enough? Klein’s heart then sank.

At that moment, Amon, who wore a pointed floppy hat and monocle, walked to the edge of the gully, turned his back to the gray and white extended building, slightly opened his hands, and said with a smile:

”This is the sacred place of my father’s awakening, and buries the history I wish to explore.

”My father told me that this place has a very ancient name, called …….”

In the illumination of the silver-white lightning that cut through the sky, Amon, dressed in classical black robes, paused for a moment, spread his arms a little wider, and spoke with a touch of solemnity:

  ”Chernobyl!”
