Part 6 The Light-Exporter Chapter 104 – Pompous
Bang!
”As The Shadow blasted the air cannonball, Klein, as if he had realized it, threw himself backward, flipped over in the air, and landed firmly on the steps.
During this process, his right hand was always pressed against the half-height silk hat on top of his head, looking quite relaxed.
Seeing that neither Njoni nor The Shadow attempted to catch up or make a continuous attack, Klein smiled more and more obviously:
”It really isn’t polite behavior to interrupt.
”I was going to discuss how to deal with you all in front of you, but now I’ll just have to avoid it.”
As he spoke, the left side of his face, which was made of transparent worms huddled together, twitched twice, as if he were squeezing his eyes at the secret puppets that had once been there and the shadows that had originally belonged to him.
Then, with a broad smile, he walked back to Colin Iliad and Derek and Lovia and shrugged his shoulders:
”The hosts here aren’t too welcoming, so we’ll just have to go out and discuss how to solve their problems.”
For this strong man with a pompous demeanor who didn’t seem to be able to control his emotions very well, Colin Iliad didn’t have the slightest bit of contempt, because the other party had shown a grasp of details when handling things before, which wasn’t like something a demigod who had lost his mind could do.
”Good.” This Silver City Chief responded to Klein’s proposal.
Derek certainly didn’t have any objections, while Lovia remained silent and didn’t open her mouth.
Thus, the four demigods plus a “Silver Knight” secret puppet returned the same way and walked out of the gate of the “Giant’s Royal Court”, and Klein finally let the guard, who was several meters tall and covered with silver armor, tug on the huge doorway and slowly close it, appearing to be very courteous. Polite.
Throughout the whole process, Enyuni with his black wings and the pure “shadow” just watched without trying to stop them, as if there was an invisible wall restricting their movements.
After a while, dusk faded and darkness descended, waiting for the light of the morning sun to illuminate everything.
A light finally rose in such a quiet and dead world, bringing a long overdue dawn.
It was at this time that Nyuni and the Shadow heard the sound of a knocking at the gate of the Giant’s Court.
Someone was knocking at the door.
After several successive knocks, the door opened backward with a heavy thud.
Wearing a black trench coat, Klein kept the right corner of his mouth upturned and entered the “Giant’s Court” first, walking up the steps step by step, Colin Iliad and other demigods and his secret puppets lagged a step behind and followed at the side.
After walking halfway up the steps, Krynn stopped and said to Njoni and “Shadow”, who were a dozen meters away:
”Forgive me for not waiting for ye to say ‘come in’; perhaps this is so far from the gate that ye didn’t hear me knock.
”As ye know, as a gentleman, I will only knock with my fingers, not with the palm of my hand.”
As soon as he spoke, Njoni, who hadn’t said a word since the beginning, spoke up:
”You’ll deal with the ‘Shadow’ yourself next, and let Silver City’s men pester me.”
”Huh?” Klein let out a loud snort with a pompous smile, as if waiting for Njoni to explain further.
Meanwhile, he raised his left palm and pressed his face.
The transparent, twisted worm swam violently, some burrowing in, some crawling out, and flew to complete the exchange.
Enyuni, whose face was shadowed and whose black hair curled slightly and fell to his shoulders, continued in a low voice:
”You didn’t summon the image from the hole in history ahead of time because you knew that the ‘Shadow’ could summon a projection of the ‘Staff of the Stars’ to mimic the ‘Angel of Time’ ‘ ability to accelerate the flow of time and dispel your angelic helpers.
”Again, he didn’t prepare for this reason.
”And if you summon a Saint that lasts longer, he can do the same, canceling each other out.”
”I hate playing cards with myself!” Klein nodded heavily in agreement and burst out laughing.
Enyuni, whose face was blurred and unreadable, swept a glance at him and the three demigods of Silver City and said:
”So, you secretly puppetized the ‘Silver Knight’ guarding the gate ahead of time, intending to use it as a weight to crush the scales.”
”This problem is with him, not me, and it’s surprising that he doesn’t have an object that can make a secret puppet, or, perhaps, you sacrifice it?” Klein’s mouth turned up at the corner of his mouth as he addressed the once secret puppet, Njoni.
Njoni withdrew his gaze from looking at him and turned to scrutinize Colin Iliad, Derek, and Lovia:
”You and ‘Shadow’ cancel out, and winning by secret puppet assumes that they can entangle me.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, the secret puppet, tainted by the power of the “Dark Angel’s” sleeping place, squirmed on each shoulder and a head grew out of each.
Both of them were covered in shadows and had shoulder-length black curly hair, but they gave off the impression that one was young and the other was old.
Before Klein and the other demigods could react, the right side of Enyuni’s body suddenly broke off, allowing the “old” head to take away a third of his body.
The split body quickly wriggled, instantly became complete, and on the surface of the head covered with shadows, a pair of eyes protruded, pupils vertical, glowing with light gold.
Hurrah, this magnificent staircase leading to the ancient god’s abode collapsed downwards, turning into a barren and dead plain, and at the end of the plain was a city with dark walls and overgrown grass.
Silver City!
Such a scene was so real that Derek’s heart tightened, worrying that unknown enemies dragged demigods such as himself down to Silver City and destroyed the city-state, while Lovia’s gaze became frozen and her body shivered as she felt the aura of the Absolute Higher Power as Enyuni grew two heads.
Colin Iliad looked around the room and pushed out the two straight swords in his hands, covered with morning sun, crossed and said in a deep voice:
”This is false.”
At this time, Klein covered his mouth with his left palm, which was spelled with transparent worms, yawned, and asked about the Enyuni proper with a smile:
”Do you get a little stronger in dreams?
”Or does it allow you to cross boundaries and attack?
”Well, if it were me, I would definitely consider using dreams to lure my enemies into my attack range of my own accord.”
As soon as he spoke, the barren plains and the castle in the distance dissipated at the same time, and the grand staircase sprinkled with dawn light reappeared.
At that moment, the left side of Enyuni’s body also broke, and the “young” head took away a third of his flesh and blood.
”The shadow on his face was quickly replaced by a brilliant golden glow, and in his eyes there seemed to be two miniature suns.
”‘Suns’?” Klein first questioned, then laughed so hard that he couldn’t straighten up, “Haha, you want to use the ‘Domain of No Darkness’ to break the ‘Silver Knight’s’ ‘Borrowed Light Hiding’? Yes, we have three of them on our side. Yes, there are three ‘Silver Knights’ on our side, worthy of your attention, but have you considered the feelings of the ‘Shadow’? You don’t. You only think of yourself! He’s just a pure shadow, how much weakened would he be within the ‘Domain of No Darkness’, do you know?”
Speaking of this, Klein laughed even louder, so much so that the “Spirit Worms” on the transparent left side of his face crawled a lot faster:
”Hahahahahaha, also, have you ever thought about your extraordinary abilities in ‘defilement’, ‘depravity’, and ‘darkness’? Have you seriously thought about how much of a negative impact the ‘Realm of No Darkness’ would have on you?”
After laughing, Klein straightened his back and asked seriously:
”What should I call you all now?
”A little Earn? A little Yo? A Nii?”
The subject of N’yoni, whose face was still shadowed, took a slow breath and said:
”You would certainly be more powerful than you are now if you chose the ‘hunter’ path ……”
Before his words fell, the layers of imaginary black feathers behind his back suddenly opened up, expanding, covering the sky and circling into the entire grand staircase.
The place was instantly covered in light shadows, and then, Enyuni directly crossed the invisible boundary from earlier and descended in front of Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derek.
It was surprising that he had a way to break through the barrier!
The young one, the “Sun Saint”, raised his arms in place immediately afterward.
The rays of the morning sun became blazing, illuminating every corner of the grand staircase, leaving no shadows and hiding nothing.
”The Realm of No Darkness.”
However, the boundaries of the shadows around him did not subside, and the black feathers that enveloped Enyuni’s body helped to shield him from the pure sunlight.
The “shadow” seemed to have put on a cloak, and although it was much dimmer, it did not show any weakness.
At the same time, Enyuni’s aged body launched his right palm towards Klein.
A violent but illusory gust of wind emerged around him, and with invisible and diverse ideas, it whistled towards Kraven and his “Silver Knight” secret puppet.
”Mind Deprivation”!
It could cause the target to either be shocked, feel fear, go berserk, or lose part of their sanity.
Klein was currently on the verge of losing control of his emotions and reactions because his spirit had lost its integrity, and if he were to be affected by “Mind Deprivation”, he would probably lose control of his mind on the spot and collapse into a monster.
Knowing what had happened to him, Enyuni understood his weaknesses, and in the opening scene, he let the “Audience Saint” that he had created use a ranged attack that he could neither defend against nor withstand.
The gusts of wind that were tainted with various emotions and wills instantly “engulfed” Kraven, but the half-normal, half-horrific crazy adventurer didn’t show any distortion of expression, manifestation of divinity, or collapse of his body, and his right eye, which was tinged with an exaggerated smile, became extremely calm all of a sudden instead.
While waiting for the Silver City exploration team, he had summoned Ms. “Justice” and asked her to give him a “clown-like” virtual personality derived from his own state of belittling, allowing the spirit to become complete for a certain period of time!
This is the reason why Klein was relatively sane when he exited the Guardian’s residence, but was so pompous and crazy when he met the Silver City Exploration Team.
Moreover, this avatar could have withstood several attacks from the “mind” field in his place.
The indifference in his eyes quickly faded, and the right corner of Klein’s mouth curved up, symmetrical with the left side of a “Spirit Worm” climbing and bending.
It was a sincere smile.
