A+ A- Turn Off Light

When the residents of Constanton were shocked by the miracle in front of their eyes, Klein had already left the city with his suitcase and “Magic Mirror” Aroldus.

After making such a big commotion, he was worried about being locked by Charatu and didn’t dare to stay.

With his current level and strength, he is not too afraid to fight with Chalatu, but he does not want to encounter a surprise attack – for the “Diviner” way of extraordinary people, prepared and unprepared are two completely different, once Klein exposed the position, and did not leave in time, then it will be unprepared. Once Klein exposed his position and didn’t leave in time, it would be the unprepared him facing the prepared Charatu, and the result could be imagined: even if he had become the master of the “Source Castle”, and there was still a chance of resurrection, there was still a not insignificant risk of falling completely.

Moreover, he did not know what state Amon was in, whether he was still being pursued by the “real Creator”, and whether it was possible for him to suddenly appear beside himself and “steal” everything.

With this in mind, Klein set off on his journey once again.

  ……

South Wiltshire, in the basement of a house.

The only few Sequence 7 Extraordinaires currently in the Abrahams family had gathered here as promised.

”…… This is how things are.” Dorian Gray described in full the words of Mr. “Door” relayed by his student Voorhees, “Years of banishment and sealing have driven the Patriarch insane, and only occasionally can he regain his lucidity, and even if he speaks directly with K, he has to bear the malice of a contaminated spirit.”

A man wearing gold-rimmed glasses that looked like a college professor sighed and said:

  ”So it’s like this ……”

Some relief passed through his expression, as if he was finally able to admit that the family curse came from the originator’s cry for help.

After a second’s pause, the man said with a resolute expression:

”We have to find a way to help the Patriarch get out of the trap, so that the curse on us will be completely removed.”

”Verdoux, are you crazy? Letting an already insane King of Angels return will destroy the entire family!” Dorian couldn’t help but rebuke the other party.

The man called Verdu glanced at the rest of the family members and sank his face into a hole:

”Therefore, it is imperative to return K to the real world as soon as possible, while the Patriarch is still partially conscious!

”Once out of the state of being banished and sealed, k, who still has enough anchors, will surely gradually regain his sanity.

”Dorian, you have fallen! You no longer think about restoring the glory of your family and bringing us back to the top of the North and South continents, and only wish to live a peaceful but mediocre life! Besides, can you be sure that that Mr. ‘Fool’ will always provide shelter? There may come a day when K, like the Seven Gods, stops answering the vast majority of prayers.”

Dorian said after several seconds of silence:

”But the risk in that regard is certainly lower than helping the Patriarchs out of trouble, and since believing in Mr. ‘Fool’ and praying to k religiously, I have not been affected by the ‘full moon ravings’ for many months now, and if I were not no longer considered young, I would have had the confidence to take the magic potion and become the ‘Recorder’ of Sequence 6.

”And even if that’s the case, give me some more time and I’ll still have a good chance of being promoted.

”People like me who are over a certain age can, and our next generation, the next generation, will definitely be able to get rid of the original limitations and have the chance to push through the door of a demigod and a demi-human.”

Hearing Dorian’s words, the two men and two women outside of Verdoux gently nodded in agreement.

They had already converted some of their descendants to believe in Mr. Fool, and after observing for a few months, they were sure that it was really effective, and were planning to start praying to Mr. Fool themselves.

Seeing Verdoux’s face not looking too good, Dorian slowed down his tone and said:

”More importantly, we simply don’t have the strength to complete that ritual right now, and the demigods of either path are not easy to deal with. Among them, the demigods corresponding to the ‘Diviner’ and the ‘Stealer’ are both known for their cunningness, strangeness, and danger, and even if we are willing to sacrifice ourselves and use ‘0’ level seals, it will be difficult to catch them.”

Verdoux pushed down his gold-rimmed glasses and exhaled slowly:

”I won’t stop you from converting to the ‘Fool’, if you can enlist the help of that being to help the Patriarchs get out of their trap, that would be the best development, but until then, I will do my best to prepare for the ceremony, and Dorian, you must remember that the bloodline and glory of the Abraham family comes from the Patriarchs, and without the K, there would be no us.

”If this matter requires a victim, then I will be the one to serve.”

With that, he stood, put on his bowler hat, and walked to the exit of the basement.

Dorian watched him go for a long moment before sighing:

”Verdoux has been studying various occult materials in the hope of finding a complete solution to the family curse, and I think that such persistence has melted into his bloodline ……”

The remaining few Abraham family members nodded one after another:

”After he confirms that he can’t complete that ritual, he should give up ……”

They vaguely hoped that Verdoux would succeed as well, they just felt that it was almost impossible.

  ……

On Blue Mountain Island, where Bayam, the “City of Generosity” is located, there is a private harbor that originally belonged to the Resistance.

A group of workers who had just finished laying gas pipes were about to find a place to rest and wait for the carriage sent by the Church of Neptune to take them back to Bayam, when they saw those “half-giants” who were said to come from the northern islands of Fossak carrying heavy gray stone materials, walking over, one step at a time. They came, one step at a time.

These workers had been involved in the construction of harbors, churches and art galleries and knew how heavy the gray stone was.

They remembered how difficult it had been for people to carry similar stones with the aid of logs, horses, and machinery, whereas the “half-giants” here carried them as easily as toys.

Such strength was exaggerated to the extreme.

Seeing that the town’s outer walls and some of the buildings had been initially constructed thanks to the efforts of Silver City’s Pathfinder Team, Derek nodded and said to Candace and Liawal:

”It’s time to return to Silver City and tell Chief and the others about the situation here.”

None of the members of the Silver City Pathfinder Squad objected, and all agreed with Elder Derek’s decision with considerable excitement.

Although they hadn’t been here for too long, they had already fallen in love with their new “hometown”, the warmth of the sunlight, and the serenity of the Red Moon’s nights, and couldn’t wait for their loved ones and friends to experience and enjoy it as well.

Derek’s back subconsciously straightened a bit at the sight, and he controlled himself from letting a smile surface as he calmly said to Candace:

”You and I will go back to Silver City together and tell the Chief and the other Elders of the ‘Council of Six’ about the situation here.

”Well, Ginod, you come along as well, and Liaval, you are responsible for maintaining order here.”

Worried that he alone was not yet able to win the trust of the current Chief, Wight Hilmon and the others, he pulled in two more companions.

After explaining the appropriate matters, Derek led Candace and Ginod to a secluded part of the new Silver City, bowed his head, clasped his hands, and prayed to Mr. Fool, making a wish to return to Silver City immediately.

Without a sound, the scene around them first became blurred and stretched, then fixed and quickly became clear.

Their eyes then appeared a piece of the city wall with hair-like weeds billowing.

It was only a few seconds before Derek and his two subordinates were back outside the gates of Silver City.

”…… This is a miracle ……,” Candace exclaimed heartily as she rubbed her eyes with the hand that wasn’t holding the weapon.

She had envisioned many ways to return to Silver City, but she hadn’t imagined coming straight back like this at all.

As far as she was concerned, this was a miracle from the gods.

Ginod shook the glass horse lamp in his hand and muttered without thinking too much:

”This is much brighter than an animal skin lantern ……”

Before the words left his mouth, he snapped out of it and broke into a pure, unadulterated grin that didn’t contain a hint of gloom.

This time, they would be the Dawnbringers leading the residents of Silver City out of the Godforsaken Lands.

Derek breathed a sigh of relief, maintaining his outward seriousness and said:

”Let’s go to the Chief immediately and arrange for everyone to prepare for the relocation.”

He had heard Mr. “Inverted Man” talk about many things that were just a little bit short of success, and he didn’t want Silver City to have a similar ending.

Therefore, the next various matters had to be grasped as quickly as possible.

As they passed through the gate, the residents of Silver City who were in charge of the guards looked curiously at the three pathfinders, seeing hope in their rosy, glowing faces.

”Did Liaval and the others not return?” Someone inquired worriedly, fearing that the rest of the Pathfinder squad members had already been sacrificed.

  Derek responded simply:

”They stayed in the outside world, building a temporary camp.”

The guards did not ask more questions, fearing a delay, and watched Derek and the others head for the Twin Towers that way.

Not long after, Derek, Candace and Ginod met with Chief Werther Hilmon and the rest of the “Council of Six”, picking up the highlights of their own team in the outside world to describe once again.

At the end of the report, they also took out pocket watches, music boxes and other exquisite mechanical artifacts as proof.

Head tattooed with dark green symbols, taller than two meters and five Weit Hilmon and Derek outside of the “six people’s council” members looked at each other and sighed:

”Your experience is like a beautiful dream, no, I couldn’t even dream of such a scene.”

After speaking, he said with a solemn expression:

”Is the dungeon for preserving the seal constructed yet?”

”It was the first building we completed.” Derek gave a very certain answer.

Weet nodded gently and immediately issued orders:

”Have everyone gather at the training ground with the necessary items.

”In order to prevent accidents, we’ll pray directly to Mr. ‘Fool’ and ask k to transfer us there.”

Saying that, Weet thought for a moment and said:

”Mr. ‘Fool’ sent down an oracle earlier, telling us to wait for another three hours for the Ancient Remnants from Moon City to come over and rendezvous, but that doesn’t stop us from making preparations in advance.

”Also, tell everyone that Moon City has a difficult environment to survive in, and many have developed aberrations, so look at them with normal eyes.”

Although Silver City had Blackface Grass as its staple food, it would still consume the blood and flesh of monsters from time to time to replenish its strength, which caused the occasional birth of deformed children amongst them, so everyone was not unfamiliar or surprised by this phenomenon.

”Good!” The rest of the members of the “Council of Six” responded without hesitation, their faces showing a look of excitement that was hard to contain.

This time, they were no longer just seeing the dawn, they were welcoming the day.
