Chapter 019: Christmas Gifts
On Christmas morning, Sakai Rie aggressively barged into Masayoshi Kishimoto’s bedroom. The moment she herself saw him still in the middle of a deep sleep, she was also even more furious.
She heavily threw a copy of The Rules of Women in her hand at him, and exclaimed, “Get up, get up quickly.”
Even though Masayoshi Kishimoto was awakened by her, he did not open his eyes. He really didn’t want to get out of the warm comforter, so he grabbed the inside of the comforter with both hands and shrunk his exposed head towards the inside of the comforter.
Sakai Rie became even more furious when she saw that the other party had completely ignored her. She walked over to the edge of the bed, bent down and raised her hand to slap Masayoshi Kishimoto, who was lying on the bed, and said, “Get up, don’t pretend to be dead. If you keep pretending to be dead, do you believe that I will really stab you with scissors?”
Kishimoto Masayoshi was really uncomfortable sleeping after being tossed around and threatened by her like this, and slowly stretched his head, which had been hiding inside the covers, out again.
He had to open his sleepy eyes and barred his mouth, “You really should take a good look at that book I gave you.”
It was because of this one thing that Rie Sakai came to rise to the occasion saying, “Don’t you dare mention the book to me. Last night, who gave you permission to enter my room while I was asleep?”
Masayoshi Kishimoto got up and sat up unhurriedly, leaning his back against the top of the pillow, wrapping his hands tightly around the quilt, and said with a straight face, “Doesn’t Santa Claus always enter the house through the chimney from outside when the children are asleep, and then quietly walk to the children’s rooms and place the gifts next to their pillows?”
“Don’t change the subject for me, give me the spare key to my bedroom that you’ve hidden. Then again, did you kiss my face and touch me …… scum while I was asleep last night.” Sakai Rie was so furious that she couldn’t go on, so she directly cursed.
“Things can be eaten indiscriminately, words cannot be said indiscriminately. Everything has to pay attention to a proof, you so plainly wronged me, can be suspected of defamation.” Kishimoto Masayoshi stared at her in looking at said.
“Then tell me yourself, what exactly happened last night?” Sakai Rie said with the gaze of a police officer interrogating a murder suspect.
“The whole thing should be like this. Just last night, at three or four in the morning to be exact, your bedroom door was left half-covered instead of closed and unlocked as it usually is.
I changed my plan to leave my Christmas gift in front of your bedroom door, and then I pushed the door directly with my Christmas gift for you. I was afraid of waking you up and disturbing your sleep, so I tiptoed to your bedside and carefully put your Christmas gift on your pillow.
Then, I turned my back, how I came, how I went. Finally, I closed your bedroom door again. This in order to give you your Christmas gift, I didn’t even sleep properly.” Masayoshi Kishimoto began to restore the whole story.
Sakai Rie was in complete disbelief, “Is it really like you said?”
“Is it hard to believe that you want me to do something to you? It’s really too bad. Last night, I really didn’t do anything other than placing the Christmas gift on your bedside.
Aiya, if I had known that you wanted me to do something to you, why didn’t you give me a tiny hint in advance?” Masayoshi Kishimoto feigned a look of disappointment and said.
“A sleeping beauty lying in front of you, and you didn’t have any other impure thoughts arising out of it?” Sakai Rie began to struggle to remember, and it seemed that last night was really the night she had forgotten to unlock her bedroom door.
At that time, she remembered that when she came back, she was already drunk, and even though her country only allowed the sale of alcohol to people in their twenties, the law was dead and people were alive.
Selling alcohol inside any bar wouldn’t look at the customer’s ID first. At most, it was the customers who looked too young that would be thrown out or politely refused to sell alcohol by the shopkeeper.
Even so, people under the age of twenty would secretly drink, taking pleasure in being able to violate this clause of the current existing law.
He himself was so full of himself and in a hurry to get to bed that he went straight to the bedroom bathroom and took a shower with a hood on inside. This then came out and ran to the bed. The person just laid down and completely fell asleep.
“You are not a princess. I’m not a prince either, can’t wake you up with true love’s kiss.” Masayoshi Kishimoto stretched his right hand out from inside the comforter, and went to take it towards the Female Rule, which hadn’t even been unpacked yet, “Sleeping Beauty is just a fairy tale, it’s a lie. This is a good book, perfect for you to read.”
“I am the princess and I am waiting for my prince to marry me.” Rie Sakai retorted offhandedly without even thinking about it.
Masayoshi Kishimoto was also quite speechless at this sometimes little girl-like innocence of hers. He couldn’t help but yawn and said, “It’s alright! When you go out, please close the door for me so that I can sleep again.”
“You really didn’t lie to me when you said what you just said?” Sakai Rie was completely subconsciously giving herself an excuse and reason to lie to herself.
Even if he really did something to herself last night, she could only admit her own bad luck. Who let herself forget to unlock the bedroom door?
“You may not necessarily believe me even if I say more. Just think of it as me doing that to you! Now you should be satisfied.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said with a look that said if I don’t go to hell, who will go to hell.
“You ……” Sakai Rie raised her right arm, the tip of the scissors she was holding on the top of her right hand was pointing hard at him and said.
“If you think it’s not safe to live here, you can move out! Don’t guard me like a thief. This is my home.
I’m the landlord, you’re the tenant. And don’t think that just because you’re talented and beautiful that all the men in the world will love you and fall under your pomegranate skirt.
For men, the most important thing for women is not talent, know what? Tenderness. What you lack is gentleness.” Masayoshi Kishimoto dropped his head and interrupted her unfinished words.
Sakai Rie instantly froze completely. As a girl with both talent and looks, she was always given the first love at first sight wherever she went. She herself had never been counted down by others like Masayoshi Kishimoto since she was a child.
After half a minute of tranquility, Sakai Rie cried out in front of him, her tears falling like broken beads.
When she cried, Kishimoto Masayoshi was genuinely shocked. He originally made a worst-case scenario is that the other party will take the scissors toward his own pounce, but never thought she will come to this.
Kishimoto Masayoshi was most afraid of women crying, so he was at his wits’ end and hurriedly said, “Miss, don’t cry, okay? It’s all my fault. I’m wrong, I’m really wrong.”
