Chapter 063: A Family
After getting off work at five in the afternoon, Masayoshi Kishimoto and Mirei Sakai returned home together. Sakai Mirei looked happy and went to her sister just as soon as they got home. She chattered and danced around a bit as she told a big story about having eaten a Japanese barbecue dish.
Sakai Rie was immediately stunned. In RB, a man and woman eating teriyaki together had a special meaning, that is, they had slept together and done that before that.
She came back to her senses, and with a rather worried tone, she directly interrupted, “Did you have that with him?”
Seeing her sister’s misunderstanding, Sakai Mirei giggled. She laughed her head off and said, “That’s not true.
Sister, your mind is too impure, it’s really too dirty. When we ate Japanese barbecue at noon, besides Brother Justice and I, there were also his company’s employees.”
“Just make it clear! It’s causing me to worry about you.” Rie Sakai said with a stern little face.
Sakai Mirei clipped her hands behind her back and gently rocked her body from side to side, her smile unchanged, “You’re worrying over nothing. In your mind, is the image of Brother Justice a clothed beast?”
“You can’t do harm to others, but you can’t defend yourself against them. Not to mention we’re still girls.” Sakai Rie defended.
“That’s what you call being self overprotective, looking at everyone like they’re the bad guys, looking at everyone like they have designs on you.” Sakai Mirei sighed.
Rie Sakai was worried about her, but she saw that she was completely ungrateful. Too lazy to talk to her royally anymore herself, she left the kitchen.
When she arrived in the living room, she met Masayoshi Kishimoto, who was sitting on top of the long sofa, deep in thought. Sakai Rie arrived first, and Sakai Meiling came after her.
Sakai Rie sat down on his right side and suddenly and unexpectedly asked, “When will this Asian financial turmoil be over?”
Masayoshi Kishimoto was interrupted in his head by her question. He turned sideways to look at her and wondered, “I’m surprised. You’re a college student studying art, how could you be so obsessed with the economy?
According to reason, with your noble and arrogant character, your favorite things should be flowers and snow, poetry and faraway places. There is nothing you despise more than the smell of copper.”
Sakai Mirei turned to sit on his left side, and before her sister spoke, she took the initiative to interject, and gave him a thumbs up, saying, “Brother Justice, right on the money.”
“A Japanese barbecue bought you off?” Sakai Rie said unhappily as she saw her sister’s attitude and stance fall in his favor.
“Sister, you’re underestimating me too much. Am I that easily bought off by a single meal of Japanese barbecue? No, at least two meals.” Sakai Meiling said with a smirk as she put up two fingers on her right hand.
She paused at this point and faced Masayoshi Kishimoto again, then added, “Brother Masayoshi, you still owe me a Japanese-style barbecue.”
“I feel like I definitely owe you two sisters from my own last life. This lifetime is here to repay the debt.” Justice Kishimoto blurted out.
Sakai Meiling once again “giggled”. She laughed so hard that she shook her flower branches and said, “You belong to the category of those who owed a debt in a previous life and are paying it back in this life, right.”
“Don’t digress. You haven’t answered my question yet?” Sakai Rie’s attention in both eyes was focused on Kishimoto Masayoshi’s face and said.
“Don’t look at me like that, it makes me nervous inside.” Masayoshi Kishimoto feigned fear and raised his right hand to touch his heart and said, “This Asian financial turmoil will take a while to finish.”
Rie Sakai wanted a specific time and said, “How long then?”
“A few months. In about 8 or 9 months, it should be completely calmed down.” Masayoshi Kishimoto thought about the fact that it was currently the middle of March, while the Asian financial crisis would end early next year.
With this reduction in time, he gave a very reliable timetable. As for whether she believed it or not, she believed it anyway.
“Then how do you know about it?” Sakai Rie broke the ice and asked.
“Personal opinion, believe it or not.” Masayoshi Kishimoto looked at her with his head hanging down.
“What does this have to do with you again, old sis?” Sakai Meiling said, puzzled as to why her sister was so concerned about the economic situation.
“Didn’t dad get trapped in the stock market? I just thought that after the Asian financial crisis passed as soon as possible, the economy would slowly recover and turn around.
Along with the economic improvement, the stock market is bound to be good. If Dad gets rid of the stocks he was trapped in, the pressure on the family will be less.” Rie Sakai put herself in the family’s shoes and said.
“That’s not necessarily true. It mainly depends on the stocks your father bought.” Masayoshi Kishimoto knew deep down that she was speaking too one-sidedly. Although there was a certain relationship between the two, it was not a given.
Even in a bear market, there were still stocks that were continuously rising. Similarly, even if it was a bull market, there were still stocks that were continuously falling.
“Brother Justice, why don’t you do my father a favor?” Sakai Meiling thought of him as the man with the ability to say.
“That’s not only a family matter for your Sakai family, but it also involves top secret family finances. It really isn’t appropriate.” Masayoshi Kishimoto turned his head and looked from Rie Sakai to Meiling Sakai again.
The little girl was too young to understand all of this, and with her own mature mind, there was no way she wouldn’t understand. This involves not only the problem of the family’s economic lifeblood, but also the face and dignity of the person in it.
Today’s society is to hate people rich, laugh at people poor. Even the poorest of the poor, personal financial chain is not broken, as long as there is no collapse, will still maintain the face.
Not to mention that the Sakai family is also a middle-class family, so the idea of face is naturally a bit more important. Who made the middle class tend to be the most vain?
“What’s inappropriate? We’re already family!” Sakai Meiling said bluntly.
As soon as she said this, the air in the middle of the living room froze. Not only was Sakai Rie embarrassed, but Masayoshi Kishimoto was also embarrassed.
From Sakai Rie’s point of view, she herself was completely unprepared to face and deal with the historical legacy that her parents had caused her.
She had never wanted to break the thin windowpaper between the two sides, but she had never thought that her younger sister would break it for her in front of her.
Meanwhile, Justice Kishimoto was in a dilemma. If the two families were one family, it would be unreasonable for him not to help the Sakai family to solve their most difficult financial problems.
However, all along, Sakai Rie verbally and in her heart, she refused to recognize the marriage contract between the two. He stepped forward to take the initiative to come forward, and is not using his own hot face to stick to someone else’s cold ass?
