Chapter 399: Depression
In the evening, Masayoshi Kishimoto did not return directly to his home in Nishi-Azabu, Minato-ku, but instead appeared inside the Firefly Club in Ginza, Chuo-ku.
Fujie Nao’s first reaction to seeing him was not polite professional jargon, but a genuine smile on her face. This was her way of seeing her long-lost lover saying, “It’s been a long time. Why did you suddenly think of coming to my place alone? It’s an honor.”
“A little depressed mood.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said bluntly.
“If you weren’t in a depressed mood, you wouldn’t have come to my place. I would expect you to be in a depressed mood every day.” Fujie Naoe laughed with the palm of her right hand in front of her mouth.
Masayoshi Kishimoto then laughed as well. He ran straight to the table he was used to sitting at. As the owner of this store and Fujie Nao’s backer, he naturally had a wider range of privileges and freedom than others.
Fujie Nao did not call any of the public relations girls inside the store, but instead accompanied them herself. She knew what Masayoshi Kishimoto liked to eat and drink, so she simply ordered her own waiter to serve her what she wanted.
Fujie Naoe sat down close to his side and said, “What is it that can make the Hard Gold Zaibatsu’s heart depressed? Why don’t you tell me instead?”
Masayoshi Kishimoto leaned his back against the back of the sofa and relaxed, “In the past, when there wasn’t much money, I felt quite happy.
Now that I have some money, I’m becoming less and less happy. Every day when I open my eyes, I think about how to spend money inside my head.”
“This kind of depression and anguish of yours, I don’t have the chance to feel it. I and you just the opposite, every day when I open my eyes is in the head inside thinking about how to make money.
If I don’t make enough money to cover a certain number in a day, I will lose money. As time goes on, I’ll have to close down my business here.” Fujie Naoe knew that everyone had their own struggles. Not being a party to it, one would often only see the surface.
The words he gave himself were not bragging, but true. She understood the other’s character to be a low-key, unassuming man.
“It’s only to this day that I’ve begun to somewhat realize what it means to be lonely and bored standing on high.” Masayoshi Kishimoto lamented.
“So, for a store like mine to survive for a long time, it’s providing a cure for loneliness and boredom for some of you successful people.” Fujie Naoe guffawed.
Masayoshi Kishimoto smiled and nodded his head a little. He understood in his heart that some of those outstanding PR ladies inside the Ginza Club were all psychotherapists one by one. A lot of people paid money to come here to chat, and they were completely aiming for a heart healing.
After Fujie Naoe saw that the people had brought everything to the table, she personally opened the wine bottle and poured wine into the two empty glasses in front of him and herself.
She put down the bottle and picked up two more glasses, one to Masayoshi Kishimoto’s hand and the other was held above her own right hand.
“Am I able to make an investment in your investment company?” Fujie Nao asked tentatively.
“Private money?” Masayoshi Kishimoto blurted out.
“Nah. It’s that I have a regular customer here who wants to make an investment, but is having trouble finding a good investment program. So I recommended your investment company to him.” Fujie Nao said truthfully.
“If it’s your personal money, I can give you an accommodation. As for other people’s money, forget it.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said as he took a sip from his glass.
“That would be a real shame for him.” Fujie Naoe said knowing that he didn’t lack money.
“As far as the Pachinko industry is concerned that group of people are one and all holding money and chasing after my ass.” Masayoshi Kishimoto was not as eager for more money as he had been in the past.
Use other people’s money, that have white use? Even though there were risks involved in investing, the fact that someone else had invested money into their company meant that there was a kind of trust from the other party. Otherwise, who would give you money for nothing?
For this reason, one must not be able to let down the trust of others, and only by continuing to make the company profitable can one make the Hard Gold Group bigger and stronger and prosper.
“Look at you this look, seems to have a heart of reluctance? Is it hard to believe that it’s your old flame?” Justice Kishimoto said nonchalantly.
“My old flame is only you.” Fujie Naoe originally just said that. Her purpose was really not to get any matchmaking favor fees, but rather to show Masayoshi Kishimoto that she was able to be a small help to him in his career.
“It would be a great honor for me to receive the favor of Club Firefly’s mom-san.” Masayoshi Kishimoto calmly said.
“Now, isn’t your depressed mood a little better?” Fujie Nao smiled.
“Sort of!” Masayoshi Kishimoto said without making a single denial.
“That means I’m still useful to you!” Fujie Nao said bluntly.
Masayoshi Kishimoto read her words with a deeper meaning of insecurity. In the minds of the vast majority of people, those in high positions were cold and heartless, and would only value those who were of use to them.
As for those who were useless, they would be treated like trash. Perhaps, she understands that a woman’s face will only age day by day, want to retain a man’s heart, although not all can rely on appearance, but also need this prerequisite. Then again, perhaps, she had excessive thoughts about her own heart that she shouldn’t have.
“It’s not possible to say whether our relationship works or doesn’t work.” Justice Kishimoto retorted.
“Then speak of a what? There are times when I am not able to see one of your people for more than a month. It’s not like I can voluntarily go to your company to meet you.” Fujie Naoe said in a measured manner.
What Masayoshi Kishimoto liked about her was that she was very measured, and that was why she didn’t touch her bottom line. She was completely unlike a good number of brainless women who thought that once an individual had a good relationship with a man, that was how it could be.
In fact, men were always able to distinguish clearly what woman’s position in their mind was and what role she played. What Rie Sakai was able to say casually, Nao Fujie didn’t dare to say.
“Why don’t I give you a picture of yourself, so that you can put it on your bedside every day. That way, won’t you be able to see me everyday?” Masayoshi Kishimoto laughed.
“That’s what you said! Don’t ever regret it.” Fujie Nao said with a blossoming heart.
“Never mind, I’d rather not give it to you. It wouldn’t be good if you held my picture for ransom someday.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said half-jokingly, half-seriously.
“I knew you were cajoling me for fun.” Fujie Nao suddenly said with extreme disappointment.
“Disappointed?” Masayoshi Kishimoto said bluntly.
“No.” Fujie Nao replied dryly.
“Then it’s just not happy.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said as he laughed again.
“Truly no. Hehehe …… you see I’m not upset!” Fujie Nao intentionally rushed at him is a leathery smile and said.
