Chapter 420 – Blood is thicker than water
The head of the security section came from the monitoring room to the company’s first floor lobby with a beating heart. The moment he saw Sakai Meiling, his anger filled expression instantly melted away and turned into a pleasing smile.
“Ms. Meiling, so it’s you.” The head of the security section said with a smile on his face.
Sakai Meiling still still remembered him as such a person. When she herself was working here on vacation for exercise, the other person was the security guard. At that time, the Hard Gold Group had only started out not long ago, and was only a small group of a dozen or so people.
“You tell them if I’m your chairman’s sister?” Sakai Meiling said condescendingly.
The security chief nodded his head as a series of “yeses” came out of his mouth. He felt that he was different from the others here in that he had started out as a part-time worker at Masayoshi Kishimoto’s pachinko parlor.
Later, Masayoshi Kishimoto sold the pachinko parlor. Although the new owner did not lay him off, he resigned of his own accord. He personally found his way to Masayoshi Kishimoto’s new company and worked as a security guard again.
As the company grew, he naturally benefited from his junior high school graduation, and rose through the ranks to become the company’s head of security.
His fate was completely changed, after all, there is a hard gold group staff of the official establishment. Whenever he bragged to others, he would not fail to talk about his personal seniority.
He was even earlier than Minister Oda Hidetori and President Miyazaki Ryuui in following the chairman. His success lies in following the right people and being absolutely loyal. Otherwise, he would not have been able to escape the fate of a low-paid temporary laborer for the rest of his life.
Seeing that there were several people gathered around to watch the spectacle, the head of the security section performed a necessary dispersal saying, “Everyone disperse! There’s nothing to see here.”
After he finished speaking, he turned to his two subordinates and then added, “You’re not needed here. You guys should do what you need to do.”
The two security guards were still secretly thankful in their hearts that they hadn’t directly made a move right off the bat. They indeed did not expect the other party to be the real deal.
“Ms. Meiling, let me personally take you upstairs to the president’s office!” The head of the security section said with a smile.
Sakai Meiling didn’t refuse and directly answered the word “yes”. She hadn’t been here for such a long time, so she wasn’t really sure where the chairman’s office was located.
The head of security pressed the elevator button, and once the doors opened, he let Sakai Misuzu in before walking in.
He pressed the button for the top floor, and then pressed the button to close the elevator. In no time at all, the two of them rode the elevator to the top floor.
As soon as the elevator doors opened again, he still let Sakai Mirei out first, following before he stepped out. He led the other towards the front to the place.
The head of the security section pushed open the door that was just outside of the chairman’s office suite and was met by one of the secretaries on duty in the secretary’s office. He said before the other party could ask, “This is Ms. Meiling. The chairman’s sister. She has something to see the chairman.”
The secretary on duty neither said anything more nor stopped him, letting the two push the door and enter the room inside the suite.
“Chairman, I brought Ms. Meiling up from downstairs for you.” The head of the security section said respectfully.
Kishimoto Masayoshi, who was seated on top of the president’s throne, was surprised to see Sakai Misuzu. Of course, he didn’t know about the furor she had caused downstairs.
He raised his right hand and waved it outward at the head of the security department, meaning that he could go out. The security chief obediently just did as he was told.
Sakai Meiling walked to a single sofa closest to Kishimoto Masayoshi and sat down on her butt, “Masayoshi, it’s really hard to get in here. It’s so hard for me to see you.”
“Rare, why did you suddenly want to see me?” Kishimoto Justice temporarily put down what he was doing and said.
“Missed you! Did you miss me?” Sakai Mirei said bluntly.
“Your sister did miss you.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said truthfully.
“I asked if you missed me, not if my sister missed me?” Sakai Mirei said with a small grimace.
“Did you spend all the money you were given in the first place?” Kishimoto Masayoshi looked at her dress and knew that the little girl must have spent money like water.
A few tens of millions of yen was not much to say, but not much to say. Many ordinary people may not be able to earn this much money even after a lifetime of hard labor.
Once money is spent, it can be said that no amount is too little. Like her, buying all kinds of brand names and eating, drinking and having fun without a plan would definitely not last long.
The reasoning is simple. Only expenditure, no income, even if it is a mountain of silver, there will be a day when it runs out. This half a year’s time was pretty much tossed away.
Sakai Meiling hesitated for a moment, after all, he was said to the top of the heart. In the beginning, one felt richer than ever before.
But, use one and go one. After a little bit of time, it became obvious to her that the money was getting less and less, and not enough.
By the time she wanted to save a little on expenses so that she could redeem herself, there was no turning back. She had been raised to spend money lavishly, and she could hardly stand to save for the rest of her life.
“Let’s not talk about money the moment we meet, okay?” Sakai Mirei said as she tried to try and change the subject.
“Then tell me, let’s talk about a what?” Masayoshi Kishimoto spread his hands and smiled.
“You still haven’t answered me, did you miss me?” Sakai Mirei said as she held onto the first thing she had asked.
“No.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said succinctly.
“You’re lying.” Sakai Mirei said in disbelief.
“Believe it or not it’s up to you. Instead of coming to see me, you should go see your sister. She still misses you, your father, your mother, and your little brother from time to time.
Even if you guys did such excessive things and heavily broke her heart, she still treats you guys as family members, not strangers. Do you know what this is called? Blood is thicker than water.” Justice Kishimoto spoke bluntly.
“Brother Justice, that’s not how you say it. The biggest winner is my sister, right? Nowadays, you’re a plutocrat. She’s just waiting to formally marry you, and following that, she’ll rightfully become Mrs. Zaibatsu.” Sakai Meiling said without the slightest inflection.
“I’m sure your sister doesn’t greatly value the title of Mrs. Zaibatsu.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said in a serious manner.
“I definitely don’t believe that. Right now, would my sister voluntarily leave you and give up that one position again?” Sakai Meiling sneered.
“You’re stealing concepts.” Masayoshi Kishimoto said calmly.
“I’m not making an argument with you. In your mind, my sister is good no matter what she does. As for me, no matter what I do, I’m bad.” Sakai Meiling suddenly huffed up and said.
