Episode 6: The Road to Revenge Chapter 20: Poison
Linley had that scene memorized deeply in his mind.
Facing Hisser’s inquiry, Linley nodded, “It was charming, I’ve memorized that scene just now. It’s just that I think the caliber of the stone carvings I carved out, I’m afraid it’ll be difficult to reach the level of a Dream Awakening again.”
It was very difficult for a divine work to come out.
Back then, Linley had been heartbroken to the extreme, integrating all of his feelings into it, forgetting everything, and reaching the most subtle state before finally completing it. And now, carving for the sake of carving, it was almost impossible to reach that level.
“As long as it’s carved by you, Master Linley, that’s all that matters. I’m not looking to reach the level of Dream Awakening, it’s enough to be able to reach the level of an average master.”
Hisser said with a smile.
Linley nodded.
If that was the case, Linley was fully certain.
“Mr. Hisser, how about this, the stone sculpture you requested will be picked up in a month?”
Linley actually only needed three days to be enough, it was just that Linley was also trying to give himself enough spare time.
Hisser nodded, “Fine, one month, very short, I’m not in a hurry, I have plenty of time. Haha.”
“Master Linley, what is it that you have, just say it, if I can do it, I will definitely do it for you.”
Hisser said bashfully.
Linley couldn’t help but feel a little nervous in the bottom of his heart.
Now that Patterson had been killed by him, the only target in Linley’s mind was Clyde. To kill or capture Clyde. Neither was something that Linley could do nowadays.
But the King of Killers, Hisser, could definitely do it!
“Mr. Hisser, if I ask you to help me capture one of the kings of the Holy Alliance, do you promise?”
Linley resisted the urge to probe first.
Cissé was stunned, looking up at Linley in astonishment, “Capture a king?”
“En.”
Linley nodded heavily.
Hissei’s brows furrowed. After a moment of contemplation, he looked at Linley and said, “In that case, I would like to ask you, if I help you capture this king. Would you kill him?”
“I suppose I would!”
Linley replied honestly.
It was unwise to deceive a King of Slayers. As for killing Clyde, if his mother had really been killed by him, how could Linley not take revenge?
Linley also had some premonitions in the back of his mind, his mother hadn’t been heard from at all for so many years. Nine times out of ten, she was dead or bound somewhere. Either way, he had to avenge his mother.
“Killing a king?”
Hisser looked at Linley.
Linley looked at Hisser expectantly.
In the bottom of his heart, however, Hisser knew very well. Although in terms of status, a cardinal was a little higher than the king of a kingdom, the impact of killing a king was higher than killing a cardinal.
If a cardinal died, the Holy See could immediately replace him.
But if a king dies, I’m afraid that there will be a battle for the throne within the kingdom. At the same time the Illuminati would be dissatisfied with him again because of this.
“This request of yours, please forgive me for not being able to agree to it.”
Hise looked solemnly at Linley, “Linley, killing a king has too much influence. And that Illuminati has treated me very well. I don’t want to pit the Illuminati against my Saber Organization because of a stone sculpture.”
The King of Killers, Hisser, was naturally one of the four major assassin organizations, Saber, behind him.
Hisser, knew the difference between light and heavy.
It was just a stone sculpture, it wasn’t worth causing a rift in his friendly relationship with the Illuminati. Over the years, the courtesy that the Illuminati had shown him, Hisser was also clear in his heart. He wasn’t a white-eyed wolf, people treated him with such courtesy, and he still laid hands on the king of someone else’s Holy Alliance.
“Change the request.”
Hise apologized.
A wave of powerlessness passed through Linley’s heart. Clyde’s strength might not have been on Hisser’s mind, but Clyde’s status was what made it so that Hisser wouldn’t make a move.
Linley tried to calm himself.
“Mr. Hisser, I would like to ask if there is a way. Let me, a rank seven magician, kill a rank nine powerhouse.”
Linley inquired.
Hisser glanced at Linley. Contemplating for a moment, he said, “In terms of killing methods, I have many. But to have a rank seven magus kill a rank nine powerhouse, this. It’s a bit difficult.”
As he said that, Hiese’s mind was also constantly thinking. This King of Slayers, who hadn’t killed anyone in a long time, had a variety of methods of killing flashed through his mind extremely quickly.
Linley didn’t dare to disturb Hissei’s thoughts, waiting quietly by the side.
Suddenly, Hise turned his head to look at Linley, “Is the ninth level powerhouse you speak of a magician, or a warrior, if it’s a magician, I do have a way.”
“Warrior.”
Linley immediately replied.
Dealing with a warrior was a completely different assassination tactic than a magician. Hearing Linley say that it was a level nine warrior, Hisser couldn’t help but get a headache.
Linley could only wait anxiously on the sidelines.
“Ah, I thought of one.”
Hisse suddenly looked at Linley with bright eyes, “Haha, back then, I only remembered a way unintentionally, and I didn’t realize that I’d still remember it after eight hundred years had passed.”
“What way!”
Linley’s heart fluttered with excitement.
Heavens!
I didn’t realize that this King of Slayers would actually have a way for a rank seven magician to kill a rank nine powerhouse.
“The King of Slayers, with the most assassination methods, really does know more than me, but I’m afraid I’d know even more than him if I lived for more than five thousand years.”
Delinquent Corvette’s voice resounded in Linley’s mind.
Linley smiled bitterly, Grandpa Delin was always unconvincing.
“The method is …….”
Hisser laughed and looked at Linley, “Use poison!”
“Using poison?”
Linley was stunned, he had thought it was some kind of good solution, a king’s diet and so on would be checked by someone. Would using poison be so simple?
“Master Linley, don’t underestimate using poison. Using poison is a very profound art of assassination, there are countless various materials in the world. There are thousands and thousands of poisons, who has the audacity to say that he knows all the poisons in the world? That he can detect all poisons?”
Linley couldn’t help but nod.
This was something he believed, for example, Derinkelwalt knew that the Blueheart Grass could neutralize the overbearing nature of the Dragon’s Bloodlands.
“This poison I’m talking about. It’s specialized against warriors. As long as one hasn’t reached the Holy Realm, when one is hit by this poison, one’s strength will be ten to one. Moreover, after being hit by this poison, there is no antidote so far, the only way is to spend a year and a half to slowly consume this poison with fighting qi.”
Xisai obviously remembered this poison very clearly, “And this poison is colorless and tasteless, so far there is no way to detect it, only hit. Only then will you realize that you have been hit by this poison.”
One out of ten? Undetectable?
Linley’s eyes lit up.
That Clyde was only a ninth level powerhouse, once he was hit by this poison, with his current strength, he wouldn’t be left to his own devices?
“This poison, does Mr. Hisser have it?”
Linley asked after him.
Linley could guess that this poison must be extremely precious. This kind of question didn’t even require much thought, it had an effect on all warriors under the Holy Realm, and it was also colorless, tasteless, and so far undetectable. Such a poison, if it wasn’t precious. All the warriors under the heavens would have to die. “Master Linley, you didn’t hear me just now, I remembered it randomly eight hundred years ago, when I was just taking a brief look at that poison prescription, after all, it wasn’t a threat to me, I didn’t care.”
Xisai frowned and said, “I only know, that poison prescription wrote that poison, mainly composed of eight kinds of materials. As for which eight, I’m not sure.”
“Unclear?”
Linley was so anxious that he wanted to kill someone.
Xisai smiled and looked at Linley, “Master Linley, don’t worry, although I’m not clear. But this prescription. Early on there was a collection in our organization’s base, I can send someone to copy a copy of that prescription and bring it over. However, the bases of our Saber Organization are all in sparsely populated places, to fetch it over. It will take a month or two.”
A month or two, it would be enough!
Linley nodded to Hisser, “Mr. Hisser, I wonder if your organization has any ready-made poisons of that sort?”
Linley didn’t want to waste time searching for all sorts of materials to formulate a poison.
“We don’t.”
Hisser shook his head, “In this world, I’m afraid that only amongst the Hand of Death organization.”
“Hand of Death?”
When Linley had chatted with Yale in the past, Yale had talked about the four major assassin organizations, which were – Saber Blood Plum Blossom Red Moon Hand of Death. Each assassin organization had its own particularities. Among them, the Hand of Death was famous for its various special and bizarre assassin methods.
“Right, in the beginning, if the Hand of Death hadn’t begged me, I’m afraid that it wouldn’t be willing to give up this extremely precious prescription, to our organization.”
Hisser nodded.
For those below the Saint realm, it could almost kill them extinctly. With such a poison, the preciousness could be imagined.
“Then, what if I can’t purchase this poison for the Hand of Death?”
Linley said expectantly.
“Impossible.”
Hisser laughed, “The top ten poisons of the Hand of Death are never given to other organizations, and they gave me this poison prescription because they guessed that we wouldn’t be going to dispense this poison.”
“Won’t go and dispense it?”
Linley looked at Hisser in confusion.
“Because, the cost is too high. It’s not worth it.”
Hee Se laughed, “Especially since two of the rare materials had long since been monopolized by the Hand of Death, I’m afraid that the amount of money spent on dispensing a single poison exceeds the commission.”
Linley drifted off.
But to Linley, spending even more money wouldn’t matter.
“In that case, I’ll go back now and arrange for someone to bring that prescription over to you. But Master Linley, in a month’s time, you’ll have to give me the stone carving.”
Xisai smiled at Linley and said.
“That’s for sure.”
A wave of relief washed over Linley’s heart.
After sending Hise off, Linley, who had long agonized over how to deal with Clyde, was finally relieved, and that night he had a rare sweet, beautiful dream.
The next afternoon.
Linley was sitting cross-legged on the grass at ease, cultivating his Dragonblood Dou Qi. The greenish-black Dragonblood Fighting Qi in his body was constantly bulging, and the unique energy of the Dragonblood bloodline was constantly integrating into the depths of Linley’s bones, meridians, and muscles, causing Linley’s physique to slowly improve.
Linley believed that if this continued, one day, Linley’s body would be enough to catch up to the Saint Realm Dragons and recreate the glory of the Dragonblood Warriors.
“Lord Linley.”
The voice of the maid outside rang out.
Linley took a deep breath as his dragonblood fighting qi returned to his dantian.
“Come in.”
Linley said blandly.
Only then did the maid walk in and respectfully said, “Lord Linley, the Debus family has a few guests who are outside the door, saying that they’ve come to thank Lord Linley.”
“Thank you?”
Linley gave a start.
Instantly, Linley understood that that Clyde had given himself face and had already released the Debus family’s kalan.
“Thanks? I’m afraid it’s not just thanks.”
Linley said in his heart.
This Debus family’s people, in all probability, had seen Linley’s help, so they had mounted their noses, wanting to ask Linley to help try and preserve the Debus family again.
“Let them in.”
Linley knew that there was a certainty in his heart with the existence of that poison prescription. Naturally, his heart was set, and he also had a spare moment to care about the Debus family.
“The Debus family? It’s not extinction, it’s going to be completely weakened.”
Linley could already completely foresee the future of the Debus family. In the middle of the living room.
Nimitz was at the head, Karan’s two uncles, as well as Karan, Lorraine, and Alice, a total of six people had come. None of the Nimitzes dared to sit down, they all stood and waited.
Seeing Linley walk over from the distance, several of the Nimitz people immediately floated up with smiles, Nimitz even arching his hand, “Lord Linley.”
“I’ve just returned from practicing, so you guys wait a bit while I rinse off and change my clothes.”
Linley said with a faint smile, and then he no longer paid attention to this Nimitz few people who were respectfully about to salute, and directly headed down the corridor towards another room.
This Nimitz several people froze, and could only try to squeeze out a smile as they stood in place, waiting quietly and respectfully.
